Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the knowledge and practice of mothers of young children in infection prevention in everyday life. The results will provide basic data for future interventions for infection prevention in early childhood. Methods: The participants included 313 mothers from three cities in Gyeongnam Province, Korea. The data were collected from December 2007 to January 2008 using a self-report questionnaire developed by there searchers and analyzed using the SPSS program. Results: Average rate for correct answers of knowledge of infection prevention was 81.1 %, and the mean score of practice in infection prevention was 3.18${\pm}$0.34, out of 5. There was a positive correlation in the relationship between knowledge and practice (r=.236, p<.001). There were differences in knowledge and practice according to mothers' education, monthly family income, and type of residence, but there were no differences according to number of children and admission history of child for infectious disease. Conclusion: The level of knowledge and practice infection prevention by the mothers was not enough to prevent infection in early childhood. Therefore,. effective strategies should be developed to help mothers in the prevention of infections during early childhood.
ㆍPurpose: This study was performed to investigate the initial conservative treatment for TMD patients using careful counselling and medication prospectively.
ㆍMaterials and Methods: Careful counselling and medication were performed in 51 TMD patients and 27 patients had follow-up check 2 months or more. Diagnosis of TMD was based on medical history and, physical and radiographic examination. TMD included masticatory disorder, internal derangement, degenerative joint disease, inflammatory joint disorder. and problems resulting from extrinsic trauma. All patients had chief complaints of TMJ pain, mouth-opening limitation. joint noise, and/or referred pain. We counselled and explained to the patient about the pathogenesis, etiologic factors, diagnosis and treatment plan for abut 10 minutes. We prescribed nonsteroidal anti-inflammatorv analgesic(Somalgen) and amitriptyline 10mg per day for 2 weeks. We informed the patient of the attention sheet and taught self-exercise of jaw. The patient were assessed by answering the questionnaire of subjective evaluation of TMD & maxillofacial pain. Questionnaire of an activity limitation. Questionnaire of a jaw function, and Questionnaire for the evaluation of TMD.
ㆍResults: In questionnaire for the evaluation of TMD, 88.5% of 26 patients answered that the treatment was efficacious. 71.4% of 21 patients answered no problem in everyday life. There were significant differences between pretreatment and final follow-up in the evaluation of the subjective pain in the following sections: opening widely, chewing, resting, morning, masticatory muscle, and temporal portion(SAS program, paired T-test, P = 0.05).
ㆍConclusions: Considerate counselling and proper medication could be significantly effectve in the initial treatment of TMD.

The purpose of this study was to develope the water environmental education program using animation and to examine the learning effect of the animation based learning program(ALP) on elementary school students. The program consisted of raising a question in everyday life, history and water, the present condition of water resources, the future of water and mankind, and a view and a measure of water. Following development, it was applied to 127 fifth grade students in Busan. With dividing them into two groups: the controlled group and the experimental one, lessons were executed respectively. After experiencing each class, the experimental groups showed higher recognition on importance of water, water pollution, and insufficiency of water and their attitude toward water was improved affirmatively than the controlled group.
The security law and security industry of Japan have a great impact on Korea. In a modern sense, there are little large disparities between the two nations in the history and development of private security. However, the way they look at private security is not the same in large part. In Japan, private security companies are highly regarded by Japanese people as organizations that guarantee their safety, owing to the efforts of private security companies themselves, the National Security Association and civic groups. Private security has especially been approved and supported since it was decided in the anticrime cabinet council in December, 2003, in line with the action plan for the realization of anticrime society to boost private security as an industry to ensure people's safety in daily routine life by curbing crimes that might pose a threat to peaceful life. Afterwards, there has been a dynamic collaboration between the Japanese police and private security in terms of education, crime prevention, disaster prevention/restoration and everyday life safety. As for Korea, the necessity of cooperation between private security and the police is increasingly stressed, and it's required to strengthen their partnership to ensure successful crime prevention in consideration of Japanese partnership cases. In Japan, the police, civic groups, the security association and security companies make every effort to satisfy Japanese people's safety needs in diverse ways and take disaster-prevention measures as well.
This paper is an experience and observation report on the activities of Jeonju citizens, who are 'kleine leutes'. Text or Born-digital materials such as diaries, group chat rooms, memos, and interviews showing citizens' contemporary and daily history (Alltagsgeschichite) were used for this purpose. These civic groups are reading groups we can find easily and they also enjoy walking, hiking, and movies, and so to speak ordinary local people are their members. One team read Choi Myung-hee's "Honbul" for about a year and a half, while another team read several books under the theme of "commons," and enjoyed exploring, exhibiting, or watching movies together. The main text is composed of three parts. First, I looked at the methods and perspectives to examine the daily life of local people. To this end, the views of Detlev Peukert and Alf Lüdtke, who captured the prospects and the possibilities of theories of daily history, and James C. Scott, who provided insight into infra-politics, were reviewed. This work was to find the perspective and method of daily history research that could observe the activities of Jeonju citizens. Second, we looked at the experience of the "Honbool" meeting. The reading of "Honbool" which took place during the period of confrontation with Covid19 began in connection with its intense locality. As the criticism of "a great writer born in our local land" relieved the uncomfortable feelings, the members' critical mind was revealed after Volume3 of "Honbool" and stood out after Volume6. It seemed to show the characteristics of the self-consciousness (Eigensinn) of citizens who choose dynamics rather than being stuck to a specific form of empathy (Betroffenheit). I think it showed the difficulty and hope to face in the description and research of local history at the same time. Third, I observed citizens who gathered on the subject of public land. This meeting showed the actuality and accumulation process of the infra-political capabilities of citizens in Jeonju. Reading-commons did not suffer from 'heart trouble' as a local citizen compared to "Honbool". Rather, the difficulty of related books was an obstacle, and the difficulty was easily resolved. As the meeting progressed, awareness of the commons became more sophisticated and issues and discussions were independently shared with each other, and a wealth of hidden transcripts were accumulated through its practice and problem consciousness. It is difficult to think about modern daily life apart from the capitalist era. More fundamentally, it is here and now in everyday life that humans enjoy or suffer from. All history passes through my body here and now. This is the universality of daily history. It depends on the ability of citizens to create daily history to experience and at the same time maintain the distance of criticism.
The "Imwon Gyeongjeji(林園經濟志)", the largest encyclopedia of the Late Joseon Dynasty covers the details of the materials and construction methods related to everyday life's facilities. It is very useful to examine the "Imwon Gyeongjeji" for studying the materials and construction methods of the fences in traditional dwellings. Therefore, we tried to find the characteristics of the traditional fences exhibited in the "Imwon Gyeongjeji" by examining the construction methods shown in the book by structure of the fence. The results are as follow. First, the nine types of fence were listed in the "Imwon Gyeongjeji". Second, we could figure out the construction methods according to the structure of fences. The fence is divided into three parts: foundation, body, and roof. The body of the fence is a characteristic part distinguishing the types of fence. The foundation and the roof are related to the durability of the fence, regardless of the type of fence. The "Imwon Gyeongjeji" showed a robust manner in building fences than known today. Third, we found that the introductions and transformations of certain fence types. Fences such as Chuibyong(翠屛), Jeon Doldam(甎墻) and Bunjang were originated from China, yet has developed unique Korean styles in Joseon. It could also be seen that Kajo Zhang(哥窯墻) and Yonglong Zhang(玲瓏墻) were special fence types imported from China. It is not certain that the fences depicted in the "Imwon Gyeongjeji", represent the whole features of Joseon fences, but it is certainly an important literature to understand the structure and design of traditional fences of the Late Joseon Dynasty.
This paper's aim is to articulate the educational ideas and methodology of Confucian philosophy in contrast with western classical Philosophy. The ideas and methodology of western classical philosophy is manifested on "the similes of cave" in The Republic of Plato. "The similes of cave" teaches us that 1) philosophy begins with criticism of everyday's consciousness, 2) philosophy is based upon radical philosophical attitude, 3) philosophy request absolute knowledge of the ultimate, 4) philosopher enlightenments the people with absolute knowledge of the ultimate. Confucius said, "at fifteen, I had my mine bent on learning, ⋯⋯ at fifty I knew the decrees of Heaven, ⋯⋯ at seventy, I could follow what my heart desired, without transgressing what was right." This is a typical of philosophical life. Therefore, What the Great Learning as one of confucian Four Books represents, is 1) to illustrate illustrious Virtue, 2) to renovate the people, 3) and to rest in the highest excellence.
Koryo Dynasty has greatly effected the meat eating practice in Korea. And by focusing on this period, this paper has in vestigated how this practice influenced and effected our meat eating culture. The 'Orders to Prohibit Butchery' written on Koryo's history books were to encourage stockbreeding rather than to follow the Buddhist policy they followed. By encouraging stockbreeding, they wanted to promote the usage of cattle in farming and thus increasing agriculture industry as a whole. Nonetheless, records show that hunting was permitted to a certain degree. And this allowed the civilians to depend their meat supply from hunting and for the fire field farmers to capture wild animals that harmed their crops. Moreover, through 'Kiwujae' (Kiwujae - a shamans service to pray for rain / ritual (praying) for rain.), we could see that earlier part of Karyo's rituals and ceremonies followed the Buddhist tradition while the latter followed the Shamanism tradition. Perhaps this was the result of allowing 'meat' for the service offerings. As Shamanism could be considered as a religion that allowed 'meat', prevalence of Shamanism was promoting meat-eating at mess(after these rituals and ceremonies that offered food (meat inclusive) to their guardian or god, the civilians would dine together.). In relation, this public eating practice slowed down the progress for storage technique. Therefore, meat-eating was developed through public and mass dining rather than through the form of family or private. On this account, we can safely regard meat-eating practice as a 'public event'. On the other hand, the history of castration is not so long in Korea. And the purpose of such practice was to use the stock for farming rather than to yield high quality meat. It is known that Mongol in Koryo period has greatly influenced meat cooking in Korea. And the exemplary dish is the 'tang' (tang - kind of soup. However less creamy, clearer broth and with more ingredients than soup.). However, the tang we ate in everyday life had the same cooking method as the tang we offered for services. Moreover, since we did not use castrated animals for our offering as the Mongolians, we must not have been greatly influenced by them. But if so, perhaps the influences would have been limited to the nobility.
It is an aim of this study to analyze a relation between modern medicine advertisements and body. Recently the academic world has discussed how comes it that the modernity had been formed. This trend is remarkable in the field of the history of everyday life. Because everyday life is connected with people's vivid experience. Especially in modern advertising it is in existence such as popular culture, consumer culture, sexuality, family, food, clothing and housing, disease. Since modern times the body has been reorganized into a new shape. Namely the premodern body that had been regulated by a status system is changed into modern body that have to form itself after the customs and values. We analyzed medicine advertisements in the early modern times and hoped to explain how modern people had understood their body. We applied Foucault's theory of discourse as a methodology. As a result of research, we came to the conclusion that there were several rules in the texts of medicine advertisements, which had formed a modern subject of pain. There was a disciplinary power such as a internalization of clinical eyes, self-watch in medicine advertisements. These advertisements contributed to the formation of subject of pain and related to the state power.

Moral education and social and emotional learning have emerged as two prominent formal approaches used schools to provide guidance for students' behavior. social awareness and relationship skills are necessary for succeeding in school, in the family, in the community, in life in general. Equipped with such skills, attitudes and beliefs, young children are more likely to make healty, caring, ethical, and responsible decisions and to avoid engaging in behaviors with negative consequences such as interpersonal violence and bullying.
