한국 근대시기 대순사상의 특질 - 초민족주의와 근대 및 탈근대 가치를 중심으로 - (Characteristics of Daesoon Thought in Korean Modern Times - Focused on Transnationalism, Modern and Post-modern Values -)

  • This study's aim is to identify modern and post-modern values and transnationalism embodied in Daesoon Thought and to seek for the new value to overcome irrationality of modern values in this society we live in. Several previous studies discussed about these issues, but most of them studied them on the basis of Korean new religions or Jeungsangyo, or in sociological theory perspective. Therefore, this study focused on Daesoon Thought encompassing ideological perspective as well as historical perspective of Daesoonjinrihoe. As for nationalism, while Eastern learning(Dong-Hak) is prone to ethnocentricity, Daesoon Thought shows trans-ethnic perspective. As for historical perspectivel, Mugeuikdo, a precursor to Daesoonjinrihoe showed non-relationship with any politics as contrasted with other new korean religious movement at that time. As for aspects of modern values, 3 perspectives (political system, social system, abolition of premodern values) were discussed. As for political system perspective, while Eastern learning advocates democratic modernity but accepted monarchy, Jeungsan denied monarchy. And While western political philosophy advocated rationality-based absolute person, Daesoon Thought proposes ideal human who can have political power and do religious indoctrination all together. As for social system perspective, while western humanism is based on all of he people's equity in front of God, Eastern learning on humans are Heaven (人乃天), Daesoon Thought is based on Injon thought(人尊思想) which encompasses spiritual world, human world and all of the universe. Daesoon Thought also proposes abolition of discrimination by gender, social position. As for abolition of premodern values, Daesoon Thought critics pre-modern formalism and advocate acceptance of other nations' culture, pragmatism, and humanism. As presented above, Daesoon Thought has not only modern values but also aspects of post-modernity and transnationalism. In the future, further studies are needed which tackle these issues and search for new values of Daesoon Thought which can overcome limitation of modern values.

"황제내경(黃帝內經)"과 선야설(宣夜說)의 관계에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Sunya Theory(宣夜說) in "Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經)")

  • Seonya theory(宣夜說) was one of the most important metagalaxy model in the ancient times. Unlike the other important metagalaxy model, it had the concept that the sky is not in the solid state but is just the infinite space which is full of gi(氣). But Seonya theory, though it had partially the superb academic thought, it had gradually become the forgotten thing among scholars in the ancient times. Since then, once forgotten Seonya theory was reconstructed again in Song(宋) dynasty, and Jangjae(張載) did the main role at that time. In the historical sequence like this, we need to take notice of one thing that "Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經)" had worked on Jangjae as the origin of his sunya theory. So we also need to take notice of one thing that "Hwangjenaegyeong" is just a rare document that comprises the academic thought of Seonya theory which had once been forgotten in ancient times. Based on the historical situation like this, this study is focused on the idea that the discuss on the Jangjae's Seonya theory would be a good way to think of the cosmic theory of "Hwangjenaegyeong" and the theoretical thought derived from them. So this study will first look into the academic characteristics of Seonya theory of ancient times and of "Hwangjenaegyeong" and through the study on the academic characteristics of Jangjae(張載)'s Seonya theory, will also think of the significance of the thought of Jangjae's Seonya theory that would be some help to the research on "Hwangjenaegyeong".

『전경(典經)』의 기사(記事)를 통해 살펴본 대순사상의 특징에 관한 연구 - 『전경』 속 인물을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Characteristics of Daesoon Thought as Seen through the Articles in The Canonical Scripture: Focusing on Historical Figures)

  • 본 연구는 대순진리회의 경전인 전경(典經)을 중심으로 전경에 나타난 다양한 인물의 대순사상적 의의와 그 내용에 대해서 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 전경은 상제의 말씀에 대해서 그 신앙과 행위를 기록한 것으로, 전경의 말씀을 따른 종도의 기억을 통해 구성되었다. 즉, 전경은 상제의 종교적 행위와 가르침을 담고 있는 대순진리회의 경전으로 이해된다. 이는 「행록(行錄)」, 「공사(公事)」, 「교운(敎運), 교법(敎法)」, 「권지(權智)」, 「제생(濟生)」, 「예시(豫示)」 등 총 7편 17장으로 나뉘어 있다. 특히, 상제의 일생을 담은 행록과 교운 및 교법 그리고 예시 등에서 중국과 한국의 역사적 인물이 행한 내용을 기록하고 있다. 이와 더불어, 각 편에서는 상제의 가르침과 신앙적 행위를 서술하며, 다양한 역사적 인물의 생애와 내용을 들면서, 대순사상의 요체를 제시하고 있다. 이러한 인물들의 소개가 각 편에서 나타남으로써, 전경의 말씀과 내용의 이해를 돕고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 종교적 대순사상의 종교적 가치와 연계하여 전경에 소개된 주요 인물을 중심으로 살펴본다. 이를 통해, 대순사상의 논의에서 상대적으로 주목되지 않았던 『전경』 속 인물들에 대해서 구체적으로 이해하고 그 내용을 고찰함으로써, 대순사상의 학술적 발전에 기여하고자한다.

Lubetzky의 목록법 사상 연구 (A Study on Cataloguing Thought of Lubetzky)

  • 본 논문은 현대목록법의 기초를 세운 Seymour Lubetzky의 생애 및 저술분석을 통하여 도서관 사상 및 목록법 이론을 도출하였다. 문헌조사와 역사연구방법을 적용하여 시대적인 사회적, 사상적, 문화적 배경을 조사하였다. 국내 외 단편적인 연구결과를 토대로 종합적인 연구를 지향하였으며, Lubetzky의 목록법 사상의 영향관계를 분석하였다. 그리하여 Lubetzky의 도서관 및 목록법 사상을 도출하였다. Lubetzky의 목록법 이론은 목록원칙의 설계 및 서지적 관계 정립이다. 먼저 기술목록법의 원칙은 필요성, 단순성, 통일성, 일관성, 목적성, 상호연관성의 특성을 포함해야 하며, 목록의 목적을 명시해야 한다. 서지적 관계는 지적 생산물인 저작과 구체적인 실체인 저서로 구분하는 것을 토대로 형성되었다. 또한 기본저록을 저자명 기준으로 기입하여 저작의 집중을 도모하였고, 저자명에 단체명과 무저자명을 포함시켜 저자의 개념을 확장하였다.

종교체험의 해석적 성격: 스힐레벡스의 해석학으로 본 대순 사상 (The Hermeneutics of Religious Experience : Daesoon Thought in the light of Schillebeeckx's Theological Hermeneutics)

  • This article examines the process of how Daesoon thought keeps its own identity while being practiced as a religion in Korean culture through the perspective of theological hermeneutics of E. Schillebeeckx, a representative theologian in 20th century, especially on the centering of the matter of experience. Schillebeeckx says that an experience is an occurrence of perception by encountering something different from oneself. According to him, 1) the occurrence of perception is premised on a framework or form of interpretation which prescribes experience as the experience in the perceptive dimension. 2) A framework of interpretation is subject to pre-existing system or structure which already has formed a basis to the experience. It consists of various interpretative elements such as social form, general knowledges, various experiences, theoretical models in their society, etc.. 3) The experiences take place in the reflection of contemporary situation, and it is understood by a society, thus making it a social stream. This experience is expressed historically, gains historicity in the process of being handed down from person to person, from generation to generation. In this way, an experience starts to form a tradition. 4) The tradition is a historical stream which gives rise to, admits, and integrates various experiences, religious revelation, and faith etc. In this way, the tradition as a historical stream becomes a field of religious actuality such as revelation, salvation, etc. Conclusively, a religion takes place, is formed, only when it is understood anew by the people who live in that cultural tradition through their languages. The ground Daesoon thought takes place, is formed, is in this way. Daesoon thought takes place in the core of traditional Korean culture, undergoes changes when it encounters the other stream of traditional Korean culture, and the vice versa. Because of this inevitable change, ironically enough, Daesoon thought can maintain its own identity as Daesoon thought, and Korean culture its own identity as Korean culture, avoiding falling into the tertiary which is neither Daesoon thought nor Korean culture. It is in this way that any religion can be in the faithfulness to its starting point to be enriched and transformed in its interaction with the other tradition. At here is the reason Daesoon thought has to have an openness to the changing world.

모더니즘 건축양식의 조형원리와 현대패션디자인에의 적용 (Formative Principles of Modernist Architectural Modes and their Application to Modern Fashion Design)

  • The multilateral attempt for present applications of art school of thought and expression is leading modern fashion as a chapter of various artistic expression. In fashion, historic art thinking which predominated the period are source of optional inspiration not simply being generated, culminated and disappear but layout principles which can reemerge as periodical needs. In other words, the past styles are the source of inspiration of new trend of the present time and will serve as the text that give birth to yet another trend. In this study, I conducted the research on the layout principles of Modernism Architecture in aspects of pure visibility and the layout characteristics. And I analyzed cases of modern fashion which were appling architectural layout principles in the view point of formal construction dimension. As the result, the layout principles of Modernism Architecture have the characteristics of diagram linearity, geometric planarity and exclusive closing. And I was applying the architectural layout principles of Modernism to fashion. The layout principles of Modernism Architecture have the tendency of lacking history types, abstract plane partition and reductionism purity in fashion. The meaning of this study is follows: The characteristics of art school of thought are given shape by appling & analysing the architectural layout principles of historical art school of thought to modern fashion in the view point of formal construction dimension. The applied possibility of historical art school of thought as the source of inspiration about the fashion design is extended.

대순사상의 요순관 (Kings Yao and Shun as Understood in Daesoon Thought)

  • 지금 세계는 표본으로 삼을 수 있는 21세기 인간상, 사회상이 절실히 필요한 시점이다. 대순진리회는 역사적 요순을 통해 그 전형(典型)을 보여주고 있다. 대순진리회에서는 이러한 요순을 다시 불러내어 현대에 맞게 되살려내고자 한다. 본 논문은 대순사상이 요순을 어떤 측면에서 이해하는지를 분석하여 요순이 오늘날의 현대인에게 어떤 시사점을 줄 수 있는지 알아보기 위한 연구이다. 대순사상에서는 개벽(開闢)시대를 당하여 '원시반본(原始返本)'이 되므로 '요순의 도가 다시 나타난다'고 한다. 이것은 단순히 고대(古代)로의 회귀(回歸)를 말하는 것이 아니다. 씨앗이 땅에 떨어져 비바람을 이기며 성장하여 가을에 새로운 열매를 맺는데, 그 열매에는 본래의 씨앗이 들어있다는 것이다. 이때의 씨앗은 본래의 씨앗이지만 씨앗 그 자체만이 아니라 모진 시련 후에 거둔 풍성한 경험이 응축된 완전체를 말한다. 대순사상에 나타난 요순은 다음의 네 가지 관점에서 분석된다. 첫째는 성(聖)과 웅(雄)을 겸비한 이상적 인간상, 둘째는 이상세계의 고대적 전형, 셋째는 대순진리회 '심법(心法) 수도(修道)'의 고전적 근거, 넷째는 '해원상생(解冤相生)' 진리의 역사적 배경이라는 측면에서 이해된다. 그러나 대순사상에 나타난 요순의 의미는 전통사상에 머물지 않고 일정한 차이점도 지니고 있다. 대순사상에서 성·웅이 겸비된 상태는 위무(威武)와 형벌을 쓰지 않고 조화로써 법리에 맞게 다스리는 모습이며, 그 이상세계는 천지도수가 조정되어 천재지변이 없고 모든 사람이 선하고 지혜로우며 영화를 영원히 누리는 세상이다. 심법을 말하되 그 심법은 상제에 의해 직접 제시된 '상생의 도'를 성·경·신(誠敬信)으로 수행하는 것을 의미한다. 또한 요순과 관련된 원한은 대순사상의 핵심진리인 해원상생을 통해 근본적인 원한을 해소할 수 있게 된다. 본고에서는 이러한 요순관에 대한 연구를 통해 대순사상의 이해를 심화하고, 고전적 인물에 대한 상징과 재해석을 통하여 대순사상의 가치를 새롭게 규명하고자 한다.

알성시를 통해 본 조선시대 과거제도와 복식의 비교 고찰 (A Comparative Study on the Dress and Its Ornaments and the Civil Service Examination System in the Choson Dynasty Focused to Alsongsi(謁聖試))

  • Confucianism, the dominating thought in the Choson Dynasty, considered the congruence of scholar and bureaucrat as principle of royal politics, so it was the important affairs to educate and select scholars who excelled in Confucian science and its historical view. The process to educate and select the scholars in accordance with the spirit of Confucianism was called the civil service examination. In this study, we examined the dress and its ornaments of the Confucian students nd that of the successful candidate related to the system of the civil service examination, and focused on the literatures and figures. The Choson Dynasty looked upon the education as important and Confucian scholars and the successful candidate had the superior position in that society. The seems to have been the demarcation between the dress and its ornaments worn by the candidate and the successful candidate. According to the inquiry of the literatures and figures, the candidate is thought to have worn yuguhn(儒巾) or bokkuhn(幅巾) with chongsam(靑衫), nansam( 衫), jikryung(直領) and the successful candidate is thought to have worn bokduh( 頭) with easahwa(御史花), aengsam(鶯衫), danryung(團領) in the Choson Dynasty.
