This study covers the economic effects generated by historical dramas of NHK, which is the Japanese Public Broadcasting company, The Study shows that NHK historical dramas have significantly contributed to the development of Japan's local economy. According to the analyses conducted by the Bank of Japan, "Ryomaden" brought an economic effect of 6.127 billion Korean Won to Kochi and Nagasaki where the dramas were filmed, because the number of tourists increased dramatically as the dramas became very popular. The NHK historical dramas also had a very positive influence on the manufacturing and service sectors. NHK's production of historical dramas has been regarded as an effort to maximize the public service of the broadcasting.

The historical film is complex genre that give various messages of directors besides a historical fact. Shin Sangok and Lee Joonik are important historical film directors. Their films show director's style by various method of historical reproduction. Sin Sangok and Lee Joonik portrayed same person Yeonsan, in and . They described identical person and historical fact in a different way. This is due to director's view of history, time of reinterpretation of history, and so forth. Therefore this paper is going to analysis the method of representation on history.

This research examines the extent to which the Urban Regeneration Project has on not just physical environments and settings, but also non-physical elements such as history, culture, community, and the general economy, in addition to the analysis and categorization of its historical-cultural contents. In order to achieve this, the historical-cultural content were defined and categorized by analyzing a total of thirty-three characteristics of the Urban Regeneration Project. The analysis showed three things. First: historical-cultural business seen as a purpose of the Urban Regeneration Project comes to be subdivided into three different categories: the Arts & Cultural, the Economic Cultural, and the Historical Heritage. Second: the historical-cultural content as the leading projects were generally executed in collaboration with physical regenerations. Third: In the initial stages of the project, many businesses made crafty use of an eclectic of historical-cultural content. However, some conflicts between public officials and residents could be observed. In conclusion, the comprehensive use of historical-cultural contents in carrying out Urban Regeneration Project must have using historical-cultural content must have physical regeneration at its core, but also go above and beyond, expanding to an Human Resource-regeneration that is comprised of nonphysical regeneration as well as a governing body. Furthermore, hefty research on the development and appropriate usage of historical-cultural content is critical, as the 4th Industrial Revolution unfold before the world.

Last year, 2008 Beijing Olympic Games have finished successfully. Over the last century the Olympic Games have received much attention from the world widely in the various point of views. In opposition to the Olympic Games, Delphic Games have attracted little attention. Moreover, There are no comprehensive monograph and research about Delphic Games in ancient and modem era. On that account, this paper will focused on the historical context of Delphic Games, review contents of it, and discuss visions to introducing and announcing the Delphic Games to the academic world.

Hwaseong Fortress was designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997 in recognition of its architectural, cultural, and historical significance. In order to provide a compelling and active experience to the visitors of Hwaseong Fortress more effectively and intuitively, an augmented reality (AR) mobile application is developed. The main objective of this paper is to describe the implementation of AR technology in the developed application; and most importantly, how the application is designed for the visitors to actively and intuitively experience the various architectural and historical contents of Hwaseong. The tour routes and their point of interests were selected carefully after deliberation of their contents. To maximize the user interaction with the application and the architectural contents of Hwaseong, not only the conventional AR technology (marker method), but also the markerless AR method is adopted in the developed application. It is expected that visitors of Hwaseong Fortress enjoy the tour, while learning the architectural, historical, and cultural contents through the active and intuitive interaction with the developed AR mobile application.

The present study purposed to examine the possibility of developing historicity inherent in places into tourism resources from the view that the history and location of historical cities have the nature of cultural contents. Previous researches on tourism have been focused on tourist facilities, the development of tourist attractions, economic effects, cultural policies, etc. However, the present study makes a cultural approach to historical cities to explore the meaning of places formed through history and the historicity of places, assuming that the temporal and spatial characteristics of Hanseong-bu can be developed into tourism resources. Major places of Hanseong-bu are classified according to their functions and cultural meanings, and these factors are associated with the geographical structure of the area. By landform and cultural characteristics during the Chosun Dynasty, Hanseong-bu is divided into the central part, the boundary area, and the outskirts. In addition, different elements, which can be developed into tourism resources, are found according to the landscape of Hanseong-bu, the character as a dynastic city, the environs inside the wall, and differences among localities reflecting pre-modem lifestyle.

History documentaries in Korea have developed various forms of production techniques to overcome the limits of insufficient historical records and videos, and dramatic elements that make the viewers immersed. Through diverse production techniques, history documentaries can maximize the factuality, vividness, and informativeness, allowing the viewers to understand and share the historical events. This paper analyzed the "immersion and experience" techniques of the programs that have been the main turning points of the history documentary so far and produced and realized the virtual reality through utilizing "Uigwe", a 3D history documentary broadcasted on KBS which showed the possibility of applying the virtual reality technique as a new broadcasting contents format.

Since wireless Internet services and small mobile communication devices come into wide use as well as the use of GPS is rapidly growing, researches on moving object, whose location information shifts sequently in accordance with time interval, are being carried out actively. Especially, the researches on vehicle moving object are applied to Advanced traveler information system, vehicle tracking system, and distribution transport system. These systems are very useful in searching previous positions, predicted future positions, the optimum course, and the shortest course of a vehicle by managing historical data of the vehicle movement. In addition, vehicle historical data are used for distribution transport plan and vehicle allocation. Vehicle historical data are stored at regular intervals, which can have a pattern. For example, a vehicle going repeatedly around a specific section follows a route very similar to another. If historical data of the vehicle with a repeated route course are stored at regular intervals, many redundant data occur, which result in much waste of storage. Therefore this thesis suggest a vehicle historical data store scheme for vehicles with a repeated route course using similar trajectory which efficiently store vehicle historical data.

Minutes of the state council are the highest level records which can show the overall decision making process at the state level. The purpose of this study is to suggest the methodology for designing historical contents based on relational structure of minutes of state council and records of ministries in the period of Rhee Regime. The methodology has three steps; first, it suggests directions of DB design that represent the basic information and agenda of the state councils through the period of Rhee Regime. Second, it proposes subject classification scheme for major policy matters in the period. to which each agenda will be assigned and related ministries' records will be linked. Third, it suggests the basic structure and procedures to develop the historical contents on each subject matter based on the minutes and relational records of ministries.
