  • Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have attracted significant attention as potential energy storage solutions due to their high energy density, minimal self-discharge, extended cycle life, and absence of memory effects. However, conventional LIBs use graphite as the anode material and as a result struggle to meet the increasing demand for higher energy density because of the low theoretical capacity of graphite. In order to enhance Li storage capacity and address the current limitations of LIBs, this study designed and analyzed SnO2 nanoflakes/CNF, which is an advanced anode material with a unique hierarchical structure synthesized via a facile method involving incipient wetness followed by annealing. The in-situ formed SnO2 nanoflakes improve the electrolyte accessibility and shorten the ion and electron transport pathways, thereby enhancing the reaction kinetics. Additionally, the CNF matrix enhances the electrical conductivity, accelerates electron transport, and mitigates volume changes. The integrated SnO2 nanoflakes/CNF cell demonstrated outstanding cycling performance and excellent rate capability, achieving a notable reversible capacity of 636 mAh g-1 after 100 cycles at 0.1 C. This study provides valuable insights into the design of high-efficiency anode materials for the advancement of high-performance LIBs.

  • The flow analyses in this study were executed on the three washing machine models with the rotors like real shapes. On the pressures and speeds for the left, right and bottom planes of rotors, model C was generally found to have the greatest pressure on the flow, more than twice as much as model A, and in order of model B and model A. At the streamline velocities of flow on the side of the rotating blades of models A, B and C, model C had the greatest rate of flow overall, which was 1.7 times higher than model A, followed by model B and model A. In case of model C, the number of blades is smaller than model A or model B, but the thickness of lower rotor becomes thicker. It can be seen that model C improves the washing performance due to the high flow pressure and high flow rate. Also, it is seen that this study is adequate at the efficient design with durability of the washing machine rotor practically and the aesthetic convergence of the rotor.

  • In a Pb-included piezoelectric composition, $Sr_yPb_{1-y}[(Zn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_x-(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_{0.2}-(Zr_{0.46}Ti_{0.54})_{0.8-x}]O_3$ was selected in order to attain high piezoelectric properties. According to the PZN ratio (x) and the amount of Sr doping (y), the crystal structure, microstructure and piezoelectric properties were measured and evaluated. In the case of Sr 4 mol% doping, the piezoelectric properties were the highest for a PZN ratio of 0.1. In this condition, the grain size was larger and the intensity was higher. With the PZN ratio fixed and varying the Sr doping, the piezoelectric properties increased until 10 mol% doping and then decreased for over 12 mol% doping. In the case of x=0.1 and y=10 mol%, the best piezoelectric properties were obtained, i.e., $d_{33}=660pC/N$ and $k_p=68.5%$, and these values seem to be related to the grain size and crystal structure.

  • In this study, the deformation and stress on each model was analyzed and the strength was compared with each other when the impacts on a total of four smart phone models was given. Models B and D with cases can be seen to have less deformation and stress than models A and C without cases. The models including the case have higher masses than the models without the case. So, the deformation and stress can be reduced by absorbing the impact force. In addition, the masses of models C and D are smaller than models A and B, but the stresses and deformations are seen to be smaller. If a case specialized for edge protection is chosen and designed when manufacturing a smart-phone in order to absorb the shock while weighing less, it is thought to improve the strength of the smart-phone and increase the durability. And it is seen that this study is adequate at the efficient design with durability of smart phone case practically and the aesthetic convergence of smart phone.

  • Recently, most of the technologies have been developed in various forms through the advancement of single technology or interaction with other technologies. Particularly, these technologies have the characteristic of the convergence caused by the interaction between two or more techniques. In addition, efforts in responding to technological changes by advance are continuously increasing through forecasting promising convergence technologies that will emerge in the near future. According to this phenomenon, many researchers are attempting to perform various analyses about forecasting promising convergence technologies. A convergence technology has characteristics of various technologies according to the principle of generation. Therefore, forecasting promising convergence technologies is much more difficult than forecasting general technologies with high growth potential. Nevertheless, some achievements have been confirmed in an attempt to forecasting promising technologies using big data analysis and social network analysis. Studies of convergence technology through data analysis are actively conducted with the theme of discovering new convergence technologies and analyzing their trends. According that, information about new convergence technologies is being provided more abundantly than in the past. However, existing methods in analyzing convergence technology have some limitations. Firstly, most studies deal with convergence technology analyze data through predefined technology classifications. The technologies appearing recently tend to have characteristics of convergence and thus consist of technologies from various fields. In other words, the new convergence technologies may not belong to the defined classification. Therefore, the existing method does not properly reflect the dynamic change of the convergence phenomenon. Secondly, in order to forecast the promising convergence technologies, most of the existing analysis method use the general purpose indicators in process. This method does not fully utilize the specificity of convergence phenomenon. The new convergence technology is highly dependent on the existing technology, which is the origin of that technology. Based on that, it can grow into the independent field or disappear rapidly, according to the change of the dependent technology. In the existing analysis, the potential growth of convergence technology is judged through the traditional indicators designed from the general purpose. However, these indicators do not reflect the principle of convergence. In other words, these indicators do not reflect the characteristics of convergence technology, which brings the meaning of new technologies emerge through two or more mature technologies and grown technologies affect the creation of another technology. Thirdly, previous studies do not provide objective methods for evaluating the accuracy of models in forecasting promising convergence technologies. In the studies of convergence technology, the subject of forecasting promising technologies was relatively insufficient due to the complexity of the field. Therefore, it is difficult to find a method to evaluate the accuracy of the model that forecasting promising convergence technologies. In order to activate the field of forecasting promising convergence technology, it is important to establish a method for objectively verifying and evaluating the accuracy of the model proposed by each study. To overcome these limitations, we propose a new method for analysis of convergence technologies. First of all, through topic modeling, we derive a new technology classification in terms of text content. It reflects the dynamic change of the actual technology market, not the existing fixed classification standard. In addition, we identify the influence relationships between technologies through the topic correspondence weights of each document, and structuralize them into a network. In addition, we devise a centrality indicator (PGC, potential growth centrality) to forecast the future growth of technology by utilizing the centrality information of each technology. It reflects the convergence characteristics of each technology, according to technology maturity and interdependence between technologies. Along with this, we propose a method to evaluate the accuracy of forecasting model by measuring the growth rate of promising technology. It is based on the variation of potential growth centrality by period. In this paper, we conduct experiments with 13,477 patent documents dealing with technical contents to evaluate the performance and practical applicability of the proposed method. As a result, it is confirmed that the forecast model based on a centrality indicator of the proposed method has a maximum forecast accuracy of about 2.88 times higher than the accuracy of the forecast model based on the currently used network indicators.

  • It is essential to examine and analyze the power output and load responses together using real-world turbulent wind speeds. In this paper, the power controller and the drive train damper are simultaneously considered using the NREL 5MW wind turbine model, and the damage equivalent load(DEL) of the low speed shaft torque and power output responses according to the natural frequency of the second order low pass filter are simultaneously investigated. Numerical testing is carried out above rated wind speed using commercially available Bladed software. From the viewpoints of DEL reduction of the drive train shaft torque and power output responses, it is shown that the natural frequency of the low pass filter is appropriately about 6 to 10rad/s. And the reduction ratio of the DEL of the low-speed shaft torque decreases as the wind speed becomes higher, and it is confirmed that the reduction ratio is limited to about 20% at high wind speeds.
