  • The DC high speed circuit breaker used in Seoul Metro for line no.1.2 is Japan HITACHI and FUJI breaker, and for line no.3.4 is Whipp & Bourne MM74 breaker from UK. The years that each breakers made are 1973(line no.1), 1984(line no.3.4), So that equipments are superannuated. Nowday the for equipment exchanging is executing, equipment for exchanging were used the Secheron breaker from Swiss. but now the Intec breaker made in Korea is used. The RTU of supervisory control and data acquisition system have the capabilities that can observe, control and work the installation efficiently. In this paper, as summarizing the solving process of problem that happened the SCADA system when old-equipment exchange and concerned point for logical supervision and control of reservation factors and equipment, I'll provide the direction that can do receiving-process of control-equipment, progressed with the exchange of old-electronic equipment.

  • To maintain design-knowledge database and manage configuration for requirement of performance test and safety standard of High Speed Railroad, It is established that managment system of performance test and safety standard and then constructed that design-knowledge database and documented a performance test and safety specification for supporting performance test and safety system using computer-aided tool.

  • The concurrent engineering technologies have been broadly used in the field of the design, testing, manufacturing and maintenance works to reduce development time and costs. For this purpose, many design environments with the product data management system, the virtual engineering system and web database system are developed. In this research, we developed the driving simulator of the KTX(Korea Train Express) as a basic study for building the concurrent engineering design environment of rolling stock. The virtual track was developed from the Seoul to the Busan and the Daejeon to Mockpo to generate immersible driving environment. Also. fault generation systems were developed to educate drivers of the KTX. We expect to reduce the time and costs of newly developed rolling stock using the design environment developed in the research.

  • State of the art and current issues related with the RC and PSC structure system for the German magnetic levitation train were investigated. The German magnetic levitation train adopted a new kind of a structure to enable high-speed transportation, which allows the use of the space over a ground. The loading from Transrapid is light-weight compared with a regular train due to load distribution to a supporting structure. Therefore, Transrapid is considered an economical and efficient transportation system, and is also an environmentaly-sustainable structure, In this paper, the structural design and construction technology specific to a magnetic levitation train were discussed, and structural considerations related with an actual operation of the train were pointed out. In addition, the future research area of a magnetic levitation train was proposed.

  • The recent operating trains including the high speed train are mostly moving system on the rail and system use the mechanical propulsion force to drive the gear and wheel by the traction motor. Advanced countries are interested in Magnetic Levitation Vehicle and they have been studying about it continuously. Thus this paper is analyzed the feature of analysis the feature for Linear Induction Motor as the propulsion equipment of Magnetic Levitation Vehicle. And the Magnetic Levitation Vehicle is being developed for the transportation system of next generation using the Finite Element Method

  • 철도나 고속철도 교량에 사용되는 장대레일은 차량에 의한 동적충격의 완화, 주행시 승차감의 향상과 같은 장점을 가져온 반면에, 인접한 교량의 연결부에서 레일과 교량 상부구조간의 거동 불일치로 인해 레일에 부가적인 응력을 발생시킨다. 이러한 부가적인 레일응력과 지반운동의 특성에 따른 구조적 응답의 민감도 및 열차의 안전한 정지를 고려하여, 지진 발생시 고속철도교량의 장대레일 응력을 해석하기 위해 레일의 재료비선형성, 지반운동의 위상차 등을 고려한 비선형 시간이력해석 방법을 제시하였다. 그리고 우리나라의 여러 지반조건을 고려하고 고속철도의 대표적인 연속교량 모델에 적용하여 제시한 방법의 타당성을 검토하였다.

  • Motor is energy converting system to generate mechanical force from electrical power and there are various typed motors in home, office, factory, vehicles, aircraft, shipping, etc. Recently in compliance with performance and reliability and the applications of variable speed motors with invert driver are expanded. Almost high power inverter have IGBT and IGBT's fault cause motor system fault. If we can calculate and foresee troubles of IGBT, we can protect accident caused by motor system fault. In this paper, the deterioration test method of IGBT devices is proposed and the test results of proposed method are shown by evaluated equipment. The basic concept of proposed method is current-voltage characteristic curve test between drain and source of IGBT in open state. The applied voltage type is ramp and it is confirmed that the current-voltage curvet pattern of IGBT in open state represents IGBT's deterioration state.

  • According to the operation data between $2007{\sim}2008$(January$\sim$June) for essential safety equipment including ATC, there were nothing special but stable and steady. And also emergency stop number of count are decreasing. But the frequency are still above the resonable count and it means driving condition should be improved through interface between ground and locomotive same as come to an understanding with driver. The number of count of emergency stop for VACMA(vigilance system) are also decreasing but also the frequency are above resonable count. This phenomenon caused by careless driving for the driver or the system malfunction. So the continuous monitoring for the data is necessary.

  • In this study, track dynamic interaction characteristics caused by the vehicle running through transitional section such as bridge abutments were studied using the finite element analysis program. The geometric condition of track was generated by trigonometric function and allowable maximum track irregularity is determined by KORAIL track maintenance criteria. The sub-infrastructure under rail fastener system was modelled by 3D solid elements. To reduce computational cost only half track line is numerically considered and the roller boundary condition was applied to each side of model. In this study, the vehicle-track dynamic interaction analysis was carried out for standard Korean transition section of concrete track and the dynamic behaviors were investigated. The dynamic characteristics considered are wheel load variation, vertical acceleration at body, and maximum Mises stress at each part of transitional section.

A Study on Efficient Rolling Stock HBD Monitoring Method Using EWMA Technique (EWMA 기법을 적용한 효율적 철도차량 차축온도검지 모니터링 방법 연구)

  • Railways are one of the safest and most important transportation systems in the world. On the other hand, due to the increasing complexity of the railway system and the running distance of rail vehicles, railway accidents occur continuously every year. In particular, in the case of high-speed trains and freight trains, if the function of the axle bearing is lost due to abnormal overheating of the axle box bearing, the load on the axle becomes uneven. Therefore, abnormal overheating in the train axle box bearings can cause serious accidents or derailments. For this purpose, a Hot Box Detector (HBD) was installed in the track side of a high speed line to detect abnormal overheating. This paper proposes an EWMA technique-based axle temperature monitoring method to detect abnormal overheating quickly and efficiently. A statistical design of the proposed method was also performed. The proposed method has better performance compared to the current method in the case of abnormal overheating and the performance is improved by approximately 170% at the maximum.
