2Cr 및 12Cr 크롬강튜브의 고온 장시간 사용에 따른 열화현상 (Material Degradation of 2Cr and 12Cr Tube Steels for High Temperature and Long-Time Exposure)

  • 보일러 튜브용 크롬강의 열화기구에 대해 고찰하였다. 크롬강의 열화는 경도 및 응력-파단 수명의 변화를 동반하는데, 이는 주로 탄화물 분해 거동에 의존한다. 그런데 2Cr강인 T22의 열화는 이러한 탄화물 거동에 따르지만 12Cr강인 X20의 열화는 마르텐사이트 래쓰 성장거동에 따르기도 한다. T22와 X20의 열화에 의한 경도값과 응력-파단수명 변화현상을 미세조직적인 측면에서 고찰하였다.

  • The remaining life estimation for the aged components in power plants as well as chemical plants are very important beacuse mechanical properties of the components are degraded with time of service exposure in high temperature. Since it is difficult to take specimens from the operating components to evaluate mechanical properties of components, nondestructive techniques are needed to estimate the degradation. In this study, test materials with 4 different degradation levels were prepared by isothermal aging heat treatment at $630^{\circ}C$. And the DC potential drop method and destructive methods such as tensile, $K_{IC}$ and hardness tests were used in order to evaluate the degradation of 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V steels. The objective of this study is to investigate the possibility of the application of DCPD method to estimate the material degradation, and to analyse the relationship between the electrical resistivity and the degree of material degradation.

  • The material deterioration of service-exposed boiler tube steels in fossil power plant was evaluated by using the electrochemical technique namely, modified electrochemical potentiokinetic reactivation(EPR). It was focused that the passivation of Mo$_{6}$C carbide which governs the mechanical properties of Mo alloyed steels did not occur even in the passivity region of steel in sodium molybdate solution and the reactivation peak current (Ip) observed as the result of non-passivation indicating the precipitation of Mo$_{6}$C carbides. To obtain the optimal test conditions for the field test by using the specially designed electrochemical cell, the effects of scan rate, the surface roughness and the pH of electrolyte on Ip value were also investigated. Furthermore, the change of mechanical properties occurred during the long time exposure at high temperature was evlauated quantitatively by small punch(SP) tests and micro hardness test taking account of the metallurgical changes. It is known that reactivation peak current (Ip) has a good relationship with Larson-Miller Parameter(LMP) which represents the information about material deterioration occurred at high temperature environment. In addition it was possible to estimate the ductile-brittle transition temperature (DBTT) by means of the SP test. The Sp test could be, therefore, suggested as a reliable test method for evaluating the material degradation of boiler tube steels. From the good correaltion between the SP DBTT and Ip values shown in this study, it was knows that the change of mechanical properties could be evaluated non-destructively by measurring only Ip values.ues.

비선형 음향효과에 의한 고온 재료의 파괴인성 열화도 평가 (Estimation of Fracture Toughness Degradation of High Temperature Materials by Nonlinear Acoustic Effects)

  • 고온 장시간 사용재의 열화로 인한 파괴인성의 저하를 초음파 방법으로 평가하기 위하여 Cr-Mo-V 강을 실험실에서 인공 열화처리하여 열화로 인한 손상 기구를 규명하고, 열화도에 따른 초음파 파라미터의 변화를 체계적으로 관찰하였다. 초음파 파라미터로서 속도, 감쇠와 보다 최근에 개발된 비선형 음향 파라미터를 사용하였는데, 비선형 음향 파라미터가 가장 민감한 변화를 보였다. 또한 전기비저항 측정 결과와 비교할 때 두 방법 모두 전체적으로 유사한 거동을 보였다. Charpy V-notch 충격시험으로부터 구한 파면양상 천이온도(FATT)와 비선형 파라미터 사이에는 비교적 좋은 상관관계가 성립하였으며, FATT와 파괴인성($K_{IC}$) 사이의 관계식에 근거하여 열화된 발전설비 재료의 파괴인성을 초음파 비선형 파라미터의 측정을 통하여 간접적으로 구할 수 있음을 보였다.

  • In this paper, we investigated impurities content, absorption properties, and thermal properties showing by changing the content of carbon black which is semiconductive materials for underground power transmission. Specimens were made of sheet form with the three of existing resins and the nine of specimens for measurement. Impurities content of specimens and absorption properties were measured by ICP-AES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometer) and Karl Fisher. And high temperature, heat degradation initiation temperature, and heat weight loss were measured by TGA (Thermogravimetric Analysis). The dimension of measurement temperature was 0$[^{\circ}]$ to 800$[^{\circ}]$, and rising temperature was 10$[^{\circ}/min]$. Impurities content was highly measured according to increasing the content of carbon black from this experimental result also absorption amount was increased according to these properties. Specially, impurities content values of the A1 and A2 of existing resins were measured more than 4000[ppm]. Heat degradation initiation temperature from the TGA results was decreased according to increasing the content of carbon black. All over, heat stabilities were EEA>EBA>pEVA. That is, heat stabilities of EVA containing the weak VA(vinyl acetate) against heat was measured the lowest.

인가 전압이 Y-TZP의 저온열화에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Applied Electric Field on Low Temperature Degradation of Y-TZP)

  • Influence of applied electric field on the low temperature degradation of 3 mol% YaO3 stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystals(3Y-TZP) was investigated using X-ray diffractometry of specimens aged under the dc field of 1.1 kV/mm in silicone oil both of 12$0^{\circ}C$-21$0^{\circ}C$. After the aging, the tetragonal to monoclinic phase transformation was observed only on the specimen surface of 3Y-TZP faced to the anode. This indicated that the surface was overcrowded with oxygen ions as a result of diffusion of oxygen vacancies toward the cathode-sided surface. To elucidate an influence of the applying time of the electric field on the extent of the degradation of 3Y-TZP in air, specimens were aged fore 0-2 hours under the electric field in the oil bath of 12$0^{\circ}C$ and then subsequently aged for 3h at 22$0^{\circ}C$ in air. The longer the specimens were aged under the field, the more extensive the transformation to the monoclinic phase was on the specimen surface faced to the cathode, probably originated from a high diffusion rate of oxygen ions due to a steep oxygen vacancy concentration gradient.

500 MW급 텐덤형 스팀 터빈 로터의 고온 열화평가 (Evaluation of the High Temperature Degradation of the Rotor of a 500 MW Tandem Steam Turbine)

  • 500 MW급 석탄화력발전소인 당진화력 4호기 텐덤형 증기 터빈 로터의 고온부위 재질열화를 평가하기 위하여 고중압 터빈 로터의 고온증기가 통과하는 부위인 로터의 고압 터빈 입구 측과 중압 터빈 입구에 대해서 표면복제 관찰을 통해서 금속조직의 크리프 기공 성장 및 미세조직 변화를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 74,628시간 사용된 당진화력 4호기 고중압 터빈 로터의 미세조직 열화정도는 핀란드 Technical Research Centre 미세조직열화등급 기준으로 B등급이다. 그리고 Neubauer 크리프 기공 평가를 통해서 잔여수명은 201,523시간 이상으로 판단된다.

  • Due to ELV banning, automotive electronics cannot use four kinds of heavy metal element (Pb, Hg, Cd, $Cr^{6+}$) from 2016. Therefore, this study was focused on degradation characteristics of Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu Lead-free solder joint with OSP and ENIG finsh under various reliability assessment method, as like to thermal shock test and high temeprature/high humidity test with test duration for cabin electronics. Also, we compared bonding strength degradation to other advanced research results of electronic control unit for engine room because of difference service temperature with mount location in automotive. Whisker growth phenomenon and mitigation method which were essentially consideration items for Pb-free car electronics were examined. Conformal coating is a strong candidate for mitigating whisker growth in automotive electronics. Necessary condition to adapt Pb-free in car electronics was shown.

페놀수지/탄소섬유 열경화성 복합재료의 유리전이와 고온 분해과정에서 관찰되는 점탄성 특성 연구 (A Viscoelastic Study of Glass Transition and Degradation Processes of Phenolic Resin/Carbon Fiber Composites)

  • 본 연구에서는 페놀 수지/탄소섬유 복합재료가 상온에서부터 $400^{\circ}C$까지의 온도범위에서 유리 전이와 분해반응을 경험하면서 나타내는 점탄성 특징을 연구하였다. 가교 결합된 페놀메트릭스의 전형적인 유리전이에 따라 저장 탄성율(storage modulus)은 유리전이에 의하여 감소하였고 고무상태(rubbery state)에 도달함과 동시에 후경화 반응과 분해 반응 등을 포함하는 복합적인 고온반응에 의하여 증가하다가, 최대점을 보인 후 다시 감소하는 모습을 보였다. 유리전이 과정은 시간-온도 중첩원리에 따라 해석하였으나, 분해반응이 수반된 고온에서의 점탄성 특징은 저장 탄성율을 수직 및 수평 방향으로 이동시키어 마스터 커브를 완성 할 수 있었다. 이러한 실험적 결과를 토대로 아레니우스식과 Havriliak-Negami식에서 유추된 점탄성 모델을 이용하여 유리전이와 분해반응이 연속적으로 진행되는 과정을 정량적을 해석할 수 있었다. 이때의 완화시간은 유전이 과정을 통하여 감소하다가 고무상태에 이르러 최소값을 보여주고 이후로는 고온반응에 의하여 증가하는 모습을 보여주었다. 본 연구에서 제안된 점탄성 해석 방법은 반응이 수반된 열경화성 복합재료가 보여주는 점탄성 계수의 복잡한 거동을 온도와 주파수(frequency)에 따라 정확하게 묘사함으로서 이 모델링의 유용성을 증명 할 수 있었다.

Ni-Cr계 고용강화형 합금에서 조성에 따른 기계적 및 고온부식 특성 평가 (Effects of alloying elements on the mechanical and high temperature corrosion properties of solid-solution hardening nickel-base alloy)

  • Alloy 617 is considered as a candidate Ni-based superalloy for the intermediate heat exchanger (IHX) of a very high-temperature gas reactor (VHTR) because of its good creep strength and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Helium is used as a coolant in a VHTR owing to its high thermal conductivity, inertness, and low neutron absorption. However, helium inevitably includes impurities that create an imbalance in the surface reactivity at the interface of the coolant and the exposed materials. As the Alloy 617 has been exposed to high temperatures at $950^{\circ}C$ in the impure helium environment of a VHTR, the degradation of material is accelerated and mechanical properties decreased. The high-temperature strength, creep, and corrosion properties of the structural material for an IHX are highly important to maintain the integrity in a harsh environment for a 60 year period. Therefore, an alloy superior to alloy 617 should be developed. In this study, the mechanical and high-temperature corrosion properties for Ni-Cr alloys fabricated in the laboratory were evaluated as a function of the grain boundary strengthening and alloying elements. The ductility increased and decreased by increasing the amount of Mo and Cr, respectively. Surface oxide was detached during the corrosion test, when Al was not added to alloy. However the alloy with Al showed improved oxide adhesive property without significant degradation and mechanical property. Aluminum seems to act as an anti-corrosive role in the Ni-based alloy.
