In mobile XML environments, the efficient synchronization technique is required to maintain the consistency of replicated XML data because the same data can be replicated between so many different XML documents. In this paper, we propose a message digest based synchronization technique to maintain the consistency of replicated data between client XML documents and a server XML database in mobile XML environments. The proposed an XML data synchronization technique(XSA) has the advantage of model generality aspect and storage space aspect by using the tuple-based message digest table to detect the data conflicts. The proposed technique can be applicable to the application requiring the consistency of replicated XML data without any restrictions in the heterogeneous(between hierarchical XML documents and relational XML databases) mobile environments.

An Information Retrieval System offers the integrated view of SCM(Supply Chain Management) information to the enterprise by making it possible to exchange data between regionally distributed heterogeneous computers and also to enable these computers to access various types of databases. The Information Retrieval System is modeled using Data Registry Model based on X3.285. We only verify the MetaData Registry Manager(MDR Manager) among the core parts using SMV(Symbolic Model Verifier) in order to verify whether our model satisfies the requirements under the given assumptions.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the Digital Paradigm cords depicted on the Digital Clothing by borrowing nearby fields. Therefore, it will offer not only theoretical data but also databases for product development on functional and aesthetic views even though it is not systematically set up the idea vet. The Digital Paradigm cords of Interactivity. Nonlinearity and Combination in the Digital Clothing were determined. This study found that Interactivity Paradigm cord was expressed by the interaction of clothing and computer, the techniques of built in·attach·detach·fragment of the Digital Clothing at the external indicators, and maintained this personalizing that was pursued comprehension and the shape and silhouette of the existed clothing, that Nonlinearity Paradigm cord was able to overcome the limitation of a successively approach, in other words the discontinuous moving possibilities of time and space, that Combination Paradigm cord was contained creative concept without fixed ideas through coordination of Digital Clothing that was combination. continuous creation, changes and process between heterogeneous factors. In conclusion, introduction of the new Digital Paradigm is going to accelerate on lasting development and research.

최근 네트웍의 보급과 지리정보의 활용이 증가하면서 효과적인 지리정보의 교환과 접근에 대한 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 하지만 기존의 GIS 데이터는 지리적으로 분리된 여러 부서나 조직에서 생성되고 있으며, 공간 정보 유통을 위한 클리어링하우스 등이 서로 다른 DBMS 상에서 독자적인 스키마를 가지고 개발되어 있다. 이러한 이질적인 구조와 구현 환경으로 인해 일반 사용자들이 서로 다른 GIS 데이터베이스를 접근하여 검색하는데 많은 어려움이 따르고 있다. 본 연구에서는 OMG의 메타데이터 교환 표준인 XMI로 표현된 이질적인 GIS 데이터베이스의 메타데이터를 통하여 사용자에게 각 데이터베이스의 구현 환경과 스키마에 독립적인 공간 데이터를 검색 기능을 제공하는 검색시스템을 구현하였다.

Nowadays, owing to the development of techniques for collecting geographic information, an increasing need is thus appearing: integrating heterogeneous databases. This paper proposes an algorithm for finding matching relationship between two node sets in road network data. We found the corresponding node pair using link shape linked with them as well as their location. The accuracy of matching was grown by this process. Result then can be used to reflect the topological information in performing link matching.

The typical characteristic of PDM(Product Data Management) System seperates the databases to store the meta data and applications. Therefore, meta data contains the information for the location of file, user profiles, relationships between the files, and process. PDM utilizes these information efficiently and does file management, configuration management, and process management. In this view, the integration strategy of PDM is to merge data and process. In the view of architecture, the interface between data and application and the actions of each application execute seamlessly. This architecture is viewed as integrated data and process among enterprises and implemented with client/server technology in distributed process environment that interfaced with open object-oriented technology which is developed with business object in the object-oriented infrastructure. In this paper, we studied the definition, function, and scope of PDM and researched the core technologies to implement the PDM integration environment. We also researched the PDM utilization in distributed enterprise environment and implementation of PDM integration environment with this technical background.

유전체 연구를 위해 구축된 바이오 데이터베이스는 해당 프로젝트의 목적에 따라 서로 다른 주체에 의해 독립적으로 구축되어 왔다. 그러나 바이오 데이터의 효과적인 판용을 위해서는 그러한 이질적인 바이오 데이터베이스의 정보를 상호 연계하여 분석한 필요성이 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 대표적인 핵산 데이터베이스인 GenBank와 단백질 데이터베이스인 SWISS-PROT, 문헌 데이터베이스인 PubMed의 데이터 구조를 개체-관련성 도표로 각각 모델링한 후 합병하여, 핵산-단백질-문헌자료로 연계되는 정보를 통합 서비스할 수 있는 모델과 시스템 구조를 제시한다.

정보 저장 검색 기술의 발달로 여러 개의 데이터베이스를 한꺼번에 검색할 수 있는 분산통합검색 시스템에 관심이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 데이터베이스의 종류 및 검색방식이 다양하기 때문에 분산통합검색 시스템의 구축에는 통합검색의 확장성과 데이터베이스간의 독립 운영성이 떨어지는 문제가 있다. 따라서 본 고에서는 이러한 문제점 해결을 위해 기존 데이터베이스들의 질의 구조를 분석해서 질의 구조의 핵심 요소들과 관련 요소들을 추출한 후, XML을 사용하여 대부분의 데이터베이스의 질의어를 포괄할 수 있는 질의어 Meta Format을 설계한다. 이렇게 작성한 표준화된 XML 질의어 Meta Format(DTD)은 분산통합검색에 적용되어 분산통합검색 시스템과 지역 데이터베이스들간의 독립 운영성 및 확장성을 증대시킬 전망이다.

인터넷과 통신기술의 발전으로 온라인 정보소스와 정보사용자의 수가 증가되었다. 이것은 정보시스템간 특히 데이터베이스간의 통합을 요구한다. 데이터베이스간 통합에 대한 연구는 오래 전부터 시작되었고, 많은 결과들이 발표되고 있다. 기존의 데이터베이스간 통합 방법은 일반적으로 전역데이터모델(Global Data Model)을 제공해야하며, 전역스키마(Global Schema) 작성, 전역스키마와 지역스키마간 번역과 같은 복잡한 작업들을 필요로 한다. 이는 최종 사용자에게 다양한 질의(정보)와 이질적인 지역 데이터베이스들에 대한 단일접근방법을 제공하기 위함이다. 하지만 데이터베이스간 통합이 요구되는 영역에서 필요한 정보만 제공해 준다면 다양한 질의를 제공하기 위한 기존 정보통합시스템들의 요구사항은 오버헤드로 작용한다. 본 논문은 데이터베이스간 통합 시 필요한 정보를 기반으로 데이터베이스간 통합을 하는 I2system(Information Integration System)을 제안한다. 이는 기존의 정보통합방법의 오버헤드를 줄이며, 단순하고 확장성 있는 데이터베이스간 통합을 제공한다.

분산되어 있는 이질형 데이터베이스들을 통합하여 단일 인터페이스를 이용하여 접근 가능하게 하는 시스템에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. JDBC는 하나의 응용 프로그램 내에서 여러 데이터베이스와의 연결이 불가능한 문제점을 해결하고 데이터베이스에 대한 일관된 흐름을 제공하는 자바 API이다. 그러나 새로운 데이터베이스가 추가되거나 제거되는 경우, JDBC를 이용하여 이질형 데이터베이스들을 통합하는 방법은 응용 프로그램을 정적으로 재구성해야 한다는 문제점이 발생한다. 또한 CORBA를 이용하여 이질형 데이터베이스를 통합하는 방법에서도 데이터베이스의 추가나 제거가 발생하는 경우, 미들웨어에 존재하는 구현객체의 수정이 필요하거나 추가되는 구현객체의 정보를 알아야한다. 본 논문에서는 지니 기술과 JDBC를 이용하여 사용자가 단일 인터페이스를 통하여 이질형 데이터베이스들에 저장된 정보를 접근할 수 있는 검색 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 네트워크에 연결된 데이터베이스들의 연결 변화를 동적으로 감지하여 시스템을 자발적으로 구성함으로써, 기존의 이질형 데이터베이스 통합 방법의 문제점을 제거한다. 또한 본 논문에서 제안하는 지니와 JDBC를 이용한 검색 시스템의 모델을 응용하여 이질형의 데이터베이스로 운영되는 쇼핑몰에서 비교 검색 방법을 제안한다.
