  • The thesis examined the charactcri:stlC of pollutants exhausted from LNG facilities. So, combustion gas and concentration of greenhouse gas exhausted from gas boiler for home use, furnace facilities, electric power facilities, boiler for industrial use and boiler for heating fueled LNG is measured. And the exhaust factor of pollutants is produced by classify of pollutants in detail. And this exhaust factor is compared and investigated with data of a foreign nations.

지역난방 첨두부하보일러 대류부 부식 파손 분석 (Corrosion Failure Analysis of the Convection Part of District Heating Peak Load Boiler)

  • Corrosion failure in the convection part of peak load boiler (PLB) of the district heating system led to water leakage. Herein, Internal Rotary Inspection System (IRIS) inspection was employed to examine wall thinning and the cause of leakage in the flue tube. The corrosive products of the turbulator and tube were investigated using scanning electron microscope combined with energy dispersive spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and inductively coupled plasma (ICP). Majority of the serious corrosion damage was observed near the turbulator located in the upper flue tube. ICP analysis of the boiler water revealed oxide formation of sodium chloride in the lower end part of the flue tube. A cross-sectional view of the turbulator revealed the presence of double-layers of the oxide film, indicating environmental change during operation associated with water leakage. The outer surface of the turbulator consisted of the acid oxides such as $NO_x$ and $SO_x$ along with sodium and chloride ions. Dew-point corrosion is hypothesized as the main cause for the formation of acid oxides in the region of contact of the flue tube and the turbulator.

  • This survey was carried out to investigate the utilization situation of fire-wood boiler by the questionnaire and personal interview on rural and mountain households of Gangwon province from 1998 to 2005. The questionnaire include 7 questions on installation, 7 questions on fuel, 3 questions on use, and 3 questions on improvement. Each question was analyzed by percentage to investigate the use situation. This survey indicated that the general problems in use of fire-wood boiler are fuel purchase, collection and transportation, that the development of the household heating boiler using wood-based forming fuel which is cheap, small volume, easy handling, convenient purchase and high heat efficiency could be an alternative to improve the problems and that the continuous expansion of the supply of fire-wood boiler can prevent the devastation of forest through the regulation of imprudent fuel supply. Although the financial aid plan on the installation of fire-wood boiler is in active, many petty households in rural and mountain areas lose a chance to install the fire-wood boiler due to the unsatisfactory information. Thus, it will be desirable for municipal government to prepare the information plan to offer the equal chance and condition to all households in rural and mountain areas and to increase the financial aid for the continuous supply of fire-wood boiler.

화목보일러 화재위험성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Fire Risk of a Firewood Boiler)

  • 본 연구에서는 농촌지역을 중심으로 대표적인 겨울철 난방기구인 화목보일러 화재위험성을 평가하였다. 화목보일러 연료투입구 주변 및 연통의 온도를 측정하였으며, 연통 내부에 축적되는 타르의 화재 위험성을 평가하였다. 연료 투입구개방 상태에서 전방의 온도를 측정한 결과 화목 투입구로부터 40 cm 이상 떨어진 영역에서는 온도가 약 $40^{\circ}C$ 이하를 유지하였다. 본 연구에서는 연료 투입구 외부로 비산되는 불티가 60 cm 이내의 범위에 비산되었다. 연통 내부에서는 온도가 $600^{\circ}C$ 이상까지 상승하였으며, 화목보일러 본체로부터 2 m 떨어진 위치의 연통 내부에서 온도가 $420^{\circ}C$ 이상 도달하였다. 연통 내부의 타르를 수거하여 발화온도를 측정한 결과 약 $398^{\circ}C$를 기록하였다. 화목보일러 본체 및 연통 표면에서 온도가 약 $300^{\circ}C$ 이상 도달하였으며 가연물이 접촉될 경우 착화되었다.

  • Energy analysis for the hot water heating control system of apartment house complex is accomplished by computer simulation. Mathematical model of a boiler, pipe network and a unit-house is developed. The effects of heating control methods on the heating performance and energy consumption of the system are investigated. The heating control methods considered in this study are a continuous heating control, and on-off heating control and an intermittent heating control methods. For each control method, the effects of an outdoor temperature, indoor temperature sensing position and the capacities of the boilers and circulating pumps on the heating performance and energy consumption are obtained and "the best" control method is recommended.commended.

  • An experimental study was performed to improve a domestic hot water boiler with a coil type heat exchanger. By using Korean Standard B 8107, B 8021 and B 6205, the boiler efficiency for heating, bathing and combution are calculated. Finally, the efficiency of the boiler are compared with those of the commercial production. On the whole, the performance of the hot water generator is higher than that of the other generator.

  • This study is to optimize design parameters for waste heat recovery boiler with water tube and three drum. The design optimization considered here is to find the most economic dimension of the boiler considered which results in a minimum cost in producing a unit amount of steam per given period of operation. For this purpose, optimize design have to determine what are the main parameters of affecting the total cost of producing a unit amount of steam which is comprised of manufacturing cost of the boiler, operating cost of the fan etc.

  • In a heat only boiler system of a steam power plant, outdoor air required for combustion is made to pass through indoor space for increasing the boiler efficiency. Due to heat generated by various equipments, temperature of the air that enters the boiler will increase resulting in combustion efficiency. If the outdoor air temperature is low, however, this will cause freezing and bursting of pipes which are filled with water. It is especially fatal to small diameter pipes and pipes connected to measuring instruments. The purpose of this study is find operation and outdoor conditions where this phenomena can happen and also establish preventive measures to avoid this problem.

  • Condensing gas boiler units may make a big role for the reduction of energy consumption in heating industries. In order to decrease the energy consumption of a condensing gas boiler unit, effective operations of the system are necessary. In this study, mathematical models of a condensing gas boiler system were developed in order to develop control algorithms of the system. These include dynamic models of a blower, a gas valve, a pump, a burner, a boiler heat exchanger, and a hot water heat exchanger. Control algorithms of a blower, a gas valve, and a pump were also assumed. Simulation results showed good predictions of dynamic behaviors of a boiler system. Therefore, the simulation program developed for this study may be effectively used for the development of control algorithms of a boiler system.
