이중열원을 이용한 전기자동차용 히트펌프 시스템의 난방 성능 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Heating Performance Characteristics of a Heat Pump System Utilizing Air and Waste Heat Source for Electric Vehicles)

  • An electric vehicle is an environment-friendly automobile which does not emit any tailpipe pollutant. In a conventional vehicle with an internal combustion engine, the internal cabin of the vehicle is usually heated using waste heat from the engine. However, for an electric vehicle, an alternative solution for heating is required because it does not have a combustion engine. Recently, a heat pump system which is widely used for residential heating due to its higher efficiency has been studied for its use as a heating system in electric vehicles. In this study, a heat pump system utilizing air source and waste heat source from electric devices was investigated experimentally. The performance of the heat pump system was measured by varying the mass flow rate ratio. The experimental results show that the heating capacity and COP in the dual heat source heat pump were increased by 20.9% and 8.6%, respectively, from those of the air-source heat pump.

열처리 시간과 pH 하한값이 음식물쓰레기 연속 중온 수소 발효에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Pretreatment Time and pH low set value on Continuous Mesophilic Hydrogen Fermentation of Food Waste)

  • Since 2005, food waste has been separately collected and recycled to animal feed or aerobic compost in South Korea. However, the conventional recycling methods discharge process wastewater, which contain pollutant equivalent to more than 50% of food waste. Therefore, anaerobic digestion is considered as an alternative recycling method of food waste to reduce pollutant and recover renewable energy. Recent studies showed that hydrogen can be produced at acidogenic stage in two-stage anaerobic digestion. In this study, the authors investigated the effects of pretreatment time and pH low set value on continuous mesophilic hydrogen fermentation of food waste. Food waste was successfully converted to $H_2$ when heat-treated at $70^{\circ}C$ for 60 min, which was milder than previous studies using pH 12 for 1 day or $90^{\circ}C$. Organic acid production dropped operational pH below 5.0 and caused a metabolic shift from $H_2/butyrate$ fermentation to lactate fermentation. Therefore, alkaline addition for operational pH at or over 5.0 was necessary. At pH 5.3, the result showed that the maximum hydrogen productivity and yield of 1.32 $m^3/m^3$.d and 0.71 mol/mol $carbohydrate_{added}$. Hydrogen production from food waste would be an effective technology for resource recovery as well as waste treatment.

예혼합 화염후류에서 열전달이 CO 및 NOx 생성 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Heat Loss on CO and NOx Emission Characteristics in the Postflame Region of Premixed Flames)

  • Strict pollutant regulations of NOx emission and increasing awareness of the environmental damage stimulated interest in research to obtain useful information regarding CO and NOx reductions at the same time. In this study, $CH_4$/air premixed flame was examined numerically to reduce CO and NOx emission level simultaneously in the post-flame region by the heat loss models in which radiative and combined conductive and convective heat losses were included. To reduce the NOx emission, first heat exchanger location was decided near the flame. After first heat exchanger was decided for the optimal NOx emission(about 30 ppm), in order to decide the optimal CO emission(about 30ppm), seocond heat exchanger location was tested and decided for several cases. Finally, the optimal location of heat exchanger for minimal CO and NOx emission simultaneously were determined and suggested.

지하공간 환경예측 시뮬레이션 개발 연구-핵 폐기물 저장공간 중심으로 (A study on simulation modeling of the underground space environment-focused on storage space for radioactive wastes)

  • 핵폐기물 저장공간과 같이 대규모 터널형 지하공간내에서의 환기량, 온/습도, 오염물질 농도 예측은 공간건설 및 운영을 위하여서 뿐만 아니라 화재등과 같은 비상시의 대처방안 강구를 위하여 반드시 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 압축성 가정하에서 autocompression의 영향을 고려한 자연환기압 계산 fan 및 regulator의 최적 위치 및 용량 결정, 암반 열물성 및 암반 표면으로부터의 증발, 응축에 의한 수분함유량 변화를 고려한 온/습도 계산, 이류확산에 기초한 오염물질 농도 분포 계산 기능을 갖춘 네트워크형 지하공간 환경예측 모델을 개발하였다. 온/습도 예측 모델을 군수물자 지하 저장공간에 적용한 결과 실측값과 상대오차는 건구온도 1.5~2.9%, 습도온도 0.6~6.1%로 나타났다. 도로터널 2개소를 대상으로한 실험결과 외부 입기만에 의한 확산계수는 9.78과 17.35$m^2$/s 큰 편이었으나 차량 운행과 환기설비의 작동시에는 이류확산만을 고려한 경우 CO 및 매연 농도의 상대오차가 5.88과 6.62%로 비교적 작게 나타났다. 이는 대부분의 터널형 지하공간에서의 농도 분포는 이류확산만에 의하여 추정이 가능함을 의미한다.

예혼합 가스버너와 열교환기의 최적화 연구 (The Study on the Optimization of Premixed Gas Burner and Heat Exchanger)

  • 본 연구에서는 연소가스의 잠열을 활용함으로서 에너지를 절약하고 배기가스 속의 오염 물질을 저감할 수 있는 콘덴싱 가스보일러의 예혼합버너와 열교환기를 최적화하기 위한 실험을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서 사용된 가스보일러의 열교환기는 상부, 하부 및 코일 열교환기 3개부분으로 구성되어 있다. 상부 열교환기는 예혼합버너를 둘러싸고 있으며 하부 열교환기는 상부열교환기 하단에 설치되어 있다. 그리고, 코일형 열교환기는 상부와 하부열교환기의 바깥 표면을 감싸고 있는 구조로 되어 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 설계된 보일러의 TDR은 당량비 0.75${\~}$0.80 부근에서 약 4:1이며 열효율이 $97\%$로 나타났다. 또한, NOx 및 CO 배출농도는 당량비 0.8 부근에서 각각 20ppm과 140ppm의 낮은 수치를 보였으며 버너의 직경을 기존의 60mm에서 50mm로 변경한 결과, CO의 배출농도가 50ppm까지 현저히 낮아짐을 알 수 있었다.

단독주택용 지열원 열펌프 시스템의 경제성 분석 (Economic Analysis of a Residential Ground-Source Heat Pump System)

  • Because of their low operating and maintaining costs, ground-source heat pump(GSHP) systems are an increasingly popular choice for providing heating, cooling and water heating to public and commercial buildings. Despite these advantages and the growing awareness, GSHP systems to residential sectors have not been adopted in Korea until recently. A feasibility study of a residential GSHP system was therefore conducted using the traditional life cycle cost(LCC) analysis within the current electricity price framework and potential scenarios of that framework. As a result, when the current residential electricity costs for running the GSHP system are applied, the GSHP system has weak competitiveness to conventional HV AC systems considered. However, when the operating costs are calculated in the modified price frameworks of electricity, the residential GSHP system has the lower LCC than the existing cooling and heating equipments. The calculation results also show that the residential GSHP system has lower annual prime energy consumption and total pollutant emissions than the alternative HVAC systems considered in this work.

  • 열교환기는 용도에 따라 여러가지 형태가 존재하지만 중요한 것은 열교환기의 성능을 향상시킴으로서 열교환기의 크기를 소형화하는 것이라 할 수 있다. 그러나 보일러처럼 열교환기가 버너 앞에 위치할 경우 열교환기의 효율도 중요하지만 환경오염물질의 배출특성도 고려되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 비예혼합화염보다 화염길이가 짧고 당량비 조절을 통해 $NO_x$ 및 CO 배출을 제어할 수 있는 예혼합방식의 버너 앞에 원형관 열교환기를 설치한 후 열교환기 관사이의 거리 및 당량비를 변화시킬 때 $NO_x$와 CO의 배출특성과 열교환기의 열효율을 실험적으로 구하였다.

  • This study was carried out to optimize burner of the condensing gas boiler which can save energy by utilizing the latent heat of combustion gas and reduce pollutants emission. Three reasonable distances between burner and heat exchanger were decided through the experiments of model flat burner. The optimum burner geometry was determined from flame stability, pollutant emission characteristics and applicability to practical boiler system. The boiler designed by this research reaches turn-down ratio 5:1 in the domain of equivalence ratio 0.68∼0.85 and thermal efficiency of 98%. Emission of NOx and CO concentration was under 35ppm and 104ppm.

  • A commercial-scale RDF boiler that its burning capacity is 400 kg-RDF/hr and steam production capacity is 2 ton/hr. It has a chain type stoker and waste heat recovery system. Heat exchanger is vertical water-pipe so that soot blowing and removal is convenient during operation. Dry scrubber, bag filter and activated carbon tower have been installed for the reduction of air pollutant gases and dust. Analysing data of pollutants from stack such as $SO_x$. $NO_x$ and dioxin shows so good results that the boiler system could comply the regulated emission limits.
