Background: The cytokinesis-block micronucleus (CBMN) assay is a standard cytogenetic tool employed to evaluate chromosomal damage subsequent to pesticide exposure. Objectives: To evaluate the pooled levels of total micronuclei (MN) and binucleated cells with micronuclei (MNC) in 1000 binucleated lymphocytes among population occupationally exposed to pesticides and further determine the more sensitive biomarker of CBMN. Materials and Methods: A meta-analysis on the pooled levels of MN and MNC in binucleated lymphocytes among occupationally pesticide-exposed populations was conducted using STATA 10.0 software and Review Manager 5.0.24 in this study. Results: We found significant differences in frequencies of MN and MNC in 1000 binucleated lymphocytes between pesticide-exposed groups and controls, and the summary estimates of weighted mean difference were 6.82 [95% confidence interval (95% CI): 4.86-8.78] and 5.08 (95% CI: 2.93-7.23), respectively. However, when we conducted sensitivity analyses further, only the MN remained statistically different, but not the MNC, the summary estimates of weight mean difference were 2.86 (95% CI: 2.51-3.21) and 0.50 (95% CI: -0.16-1.17), respectively. We also observed pesticide-exposed subjects had significantly higher MN frequencies than controls among smokers and nonsmokers, male and female populations, and American, Asian and European countries in stratified analyses. Conclusions: The frequency of MN in peripheral blood lymphocytes might be a more sensitive indicator of early genetic effects than MNC using the CBMN assay for occupationally pesticide-exposed populations.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to survey the opinion and attitude of hospital managers toward the hospital evaluation program. Method : Managers of 157 hospitals which had participated in the hospital evaluation program were requested to respond to structured self-administered questionnaire. The questionnaire was composed with five categories: the preparation for the hospital evaluation program, the expertise levels of surveyors, the process and contents of the hospital evaluation program, the applying strategies for the result of the hospital evaluation to manager's work at their hospitals, and the main points to improve the hospital evaluation program. Result : 135 out of the 157 subjects completed the questionnaire, and the overall response rate was 86%. The hospital managers answered that they didn't have enough information such as the scoring rule of the standards, the process of the evaluation, and how to ask and get an answer to prepare the hospital evaluation. Furthermore, they estimated that the surveyors weren't specialized enough and didn't give a chance of checking over the result of the evaluation. In addition, they experienced that the result and feedback of the evaluation weren't enough information to be used as a guideline to improve in hospital management. Managers of the hospitals responded that the standards and method of survey in the hospital evaluation system should be reformed. Conclusion : Most of the responded managers seemed to have negative opinion on the hospital evaluation system, even though they were pushed up for interest in quality. Further studies and extensive evaluation of the hospital evaluation program are needed to bring up various information such as receptiveness and effectiveness.
The study aimed to investigate the influence of perceived patient safety culture on patient safety management activity in the dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 292 dental hygienists in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggido from March 1 to April 8, 2016. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects (9 items), patient safety culture (44 items), and patient safety management activity (25 items) by Likert 5 point scale. Data were analyzed by t test, one way ANOVA, stepwise multiple regression test, and post-hoc Tukey test using SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The perceived patient safety culture was 3.50 on average. Entire organization was the highest score (3.68) and followed the communication process (3.55), the environment of work unit (3.47), the attitude of supervisor/manager (3.45), and the frequency of events reported (2.98). The average of patient safety management activity was 3.71. As for the factors of patient safety culture on patient safety management activity, communication process was the most influential factor (${\beta}=0.268$), and followed the entire organization (${\beta}=0.265$), the environment of work unit (${\beta} =0.166$), the frequency of events reported (${\beta}=0.104$), and among the control variables. Work place proved to be the only significant variable. Conclusions: In order to promote patient safety management activity of dental institutions, the patient safety culture should be created and established. The influence of communication process and patient safety culture at entire organization level was huge. So the environment of work unit and the perceived patient safety culture in the process of reported events were influencing factors. The strategy for patient safety management activity should be considered because of low level of perceived patient safety culture.

Objectives: This study measures the level of cognition of employee's patient safety culture and evaluates the current level through comparing the results to external levels. Ultimately it is performed to construct a strategic improvement plan through the basic database for patient's safety culture. Methods: A questionnaire survey of self reporting type was carried out using structured questionnaire of the patient's safety culture for employees currently employed in a hospital. Total responders was 1,129 and a response rate was 54.6%. The survey results were calculated with a percent positive response, and the current level was evaluated by comparing with the survey results of a hospital (2009 and 2014) and the survey result of The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality(2014). Results: Sub-dimension of high percent positive response for each area were 'teamwork within hospital units' (80%), 'feedback & communication about error' (73%) and 'supervisor/manager expectations & actions promoting safety' (67%). Meanwhile, 'teamwork across hospital units' (31%), 'hospital management support for patient safety' (29%), 'staffing' (27%) and 'non-punitive response to error' (17%) were relatively low percent positive response. Compared to the survey results of AHRQ (2014) for each area, 'teamwork within hospital units' (80%), 'feedback & communication about error' (73%), 'frequency of event reporting' (66%) were at the top 50% percentile level and the remaining sub-dimensions showed a very low level in the lower 10% percentile area. Conclusion: In order to establish a system for patient safety culture within the hospital and evaluate the effect on this, it is necessary to periodically evaluate the patient's safety culture and establish regulations on hospital safety culture to comply with this.
This study aims to explore how the transformational leadership (consisting of three factors"charisma, individualized consideration, and intellectual stimulation) and the organizational culture (typified by developmental, rational, consensual, and hierarchical culture) are related to the organizational effectiveness (consisting of job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and intention to leave a job) of dental clinics. We found the following empirical results through a survey of 378 persons who work in dental clinics. Firstly, the respondents acknowledged charismatic leadership as the typical type of leadership ; as for organizational culture, a culture of consensus is recognized as the representative type. Secondly, transformational leadership has different effects according to the type of organizational culture: a positive influence in developmental and rational cultures, but a negative influence in consensual and hierarchical cultures. Thirdly, developmental culture has proven to be the most suitable for increasing job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The developmental, rational, and consensual cultures have all contributed to reducing intention to leave among clinic staff, whereas in the hierarchical culture, intention has been elevated. Fourthly, transformational leadership has a positive effect on the job satisfaction and organizational commitment; the intent to leave has been lessened under individualized consideration and charismatic leadership, but has been increased under leadership of intellectual stimulation. Fifthly, it is consideration and charisma that help to increase organizational effectiveness. These influences will become more effective through a developmental culture. Based on the above empirical results, we propose practical measures to improve the organizational effectiveness of clinics, in particular dental clinics. In order to build developmental culture, the doctor (manager) should produce an atmosphere in the clinic in which staff members are able to create and jointly own ideas and then promote awareness of staff participation. Additionally, in order to bring leadership of charisma and consideration into full play, the doctor should shape a relationship of mutual trust mainly by recognizing and praising the work of clinic staff. Finally, the doctor needs to acknowledge that organizational effectiveness can be significantly improved by increasing the transparency of the business.
This study was carried out to investigate the effects of contents for the serious game development of the customized diet education in Type II Diabetes. Because the development of the existing serious game focuses on Type I Diabetes, this study was designed to carry out customized education through the interaction between Type II Diabetes and health manager. The period of data collection was from July 11 to December 26 in Y2015, the subjects were selected from a total of 26 people suitable for Type II diabetes who visited the public health center to apply for a diabetic diet education and completed the 8 continued education. After receiving customized diet prototype education, the self-care behaviors and HbA1C of the subjects were statistically significantly increased(p<.05)

The purpose of this study is to examine impacts of servant leadership perception of dental hygienists on organizational commitment, job satisfaction and turnover intention as strong predictors of turnover rate. These data were collected from the structured questionnaire survey, from April 1 through April 30, 2011, to 383 people among those in the field of dental hygiene affairs, working for nine dental hospitals or twenty-four dental clinic under two dental university hospital in capital area. The principal findings of this research are as below; First, servant leadership perception had a significantly positive influence on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Also servant leadership perception of dental hygienists had a significantly negative influence on turnover intention. Second, job satisfaction and organizational commitment of dental hygienists has a negative influence on turnover intention. Third, servant leadership perception of dental hygienists were revealed as a meaningful effects ones on job satisfaction and organizational commitment, but they didn't have meaningful effect on turnover intention. However, we can understand that servant leadership perception have indirect effect on turnover intention via job satisfaction and organizational commitment. This result indicates that the managers of dental hospital and clinic should perceive that the consistent management effort to improve servant leadership can increase job satisfaction, and finally will increase the organizational commitment that means the loyalty to organization. In short, hospital operators and managers should examine each manager's qualification, type and style of leadership in the hospital organization, and they must develop lasting programs for effective education and training for developing characteristics of leadership are in needed to have managers with appropriate managerial mind to respective post and status.

Background: The effect of mobilization on lumbar back pain has been fully described in several clinical aspects, but evidence for muscle strength would be still less clear. Objective: To assess the effect of lumbar mobilization on lower limb strength in healthy individuals. Methods and Analysis: Healthy people aged 18-65 will be included regardless of race or sex. Original peer-reviewed primary reporting randomized controlled trials (RCTs) will be included. Electronic databases, such as MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Web of Science, Pedro, CINAHL, ClinicalTrials.gov will be searched from inception until July 30. Only studies published in English will be included in this review. Two reviewers will complete the screening for eligibility independently, and the other two reviewers will also complete the risks of data extraction and bias assessment independently. Lower Limb strength will be assessed as primary outcome, and particular intervention or participant characteristics will be assessed as the secondary outcomes. Meta-analysis will be conducted using Review Manager 5.3.3, and evidence level will be assessed using the method for Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation. Outcomes will be presented as the weighted mean difference or standardized mean difference with 95% CI. If I2 ≤ 50%, P>.1, the fixed effect model will be used, otherwise, random-effects model will be used. Ethics and dissemination: This review might not be necessary ethical approval because it does not require individual patient's data; these findings will be published in conference presentations or peer-reviewed journal articles. Health care is one of the most popular reasons for accessing the Internet. Of concern is the amount of information from disreputable sources available on the Internet. A review of websites offering nutrition consulting services suggests sites are controlled by both registered dietitians and non-dietitian professionals marketing themselves as nutrition consultants. The purpose of this study was to investigate structure and content of websites controlled by registered dietitians and nondietitians professionals marketing themselves as nutritionists or nutrition consultants. Internet search queries of 'dietitian', 'dietitian consultant', and 'nutrition consultant' were completed for website selection. Thirty websites controlled by registered dietitians and 10 websites controlled by nutrition consultants were reviewed using an 18-item website evaluation instrument developed for this study. Five evaluators were recruited from the dietetics program at the University of Kentucky. Overall, websites controlled by registered dietitians ranked higher than websites controlled by nutrition consultants in a majority of categories. Sites controlled by registered dietitians ranked statistically higher for the following categories: 'accuracy of information'(p<.0001), 'inclusion of professional resume of owner or primary manager' (p<.05), and 'explanation of the affiliation to externallinks'(p<.05). A majority of sites controlled by both dietitians and nutrition consultants achieved a poor ranking in regards to provision of a legal disclaimer and inclusion of a privacy policy. Prior studies suggest personal privacy is the most important concern for consumers accessing health information on the Internet. Findings from this project will benefit dietitians to assist in development of reputable nutrition related websites.

The success of construction projects is heavily dependent on the work ability of the field managers who manage the execution of projects. The work ability of field managers is influenced by various elements such as job stress and individual characteristics. The purpose of this study is to reveal the factors influencing the work ability of construction field managers in Korea. Work ability is evaluated bases on the Work Ability Index(WAI) developed by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, while job stress is measured using the Korean Occupational Stress Questionnaire Short Form developed by the Korean Occupational Safety & Health Agency. The results showed that field managers under higher job stress have lower work abilities. In addition, it is revealed that exercise or religious practice have a positive influence on work ability. This study will help to increase the work ability and enable the efficient management of organization at building construction sites.
