삼천포 신항의 파고분포 해석 (An Analysis of Wave Height Distribution in the Vicinity of Samcheon New-Harbor)

  • The calmness inside a harbor plays an important role in the appropriate disposition of harbor structures. However, it is not easy to acquire accurate computational results because these are affected by many factors concerned with wave transformation. Recently, numerical model tests, which are quicker and more economical than hydraulic model experiments, were carried out for the purpose of analyzing wave height distributions in harbors. This paper presents a numerical model that is able to calculate wave heights inside a harbor. It is based on a time-dependent mild slope involving wave refraction, diffraction, shoaling effect, and reflection. In particular, arbitrary reflectivity is used at the boundary in order to simulate the real harbor reflection condition. The proposed numerical model is applied to Samcheon new-harbor in order to investigate harbor calmness.

  • An accurate estimation of water level variation when thewaves propagate to the coastal regionis very important for the port and harbor development plan. This study describes the application of a hybrid element model to harbor oscillation problem due to the construction of shore structure and implementation of shore boundary. The site selected is Pusan Harbor area with the third development and the Artificial Island plan. The observed water level changes at the site are compared with the result of the numerical experiment. The model gives a very important prediction of water level changes for navigation and harbor design.

강원 동해안 어촌어항의 경관색채에 관한 분석 연구 (A Study on the Color-Scape about Fishing Village and Harbor in Gangwon East Coast)

  • This study aims to propose directions of color-scape about fishing village and harbor in East coast. In order to offer better landscape in harbor; Namae and Sachun, such as regional atmosphere and identification are to analyze with color planning. For the quality of color-scape, natural color, regional color of harbor may be possible to work out future harbor surrounding by evaluation scale and then hue, value, chroma can be estimated systematically. This survey suggests that color of harbor is to be environmental and regional color control. We analyze that the color-scape planning through the both whole harmony and organic combination is important elements of satisfaction to the people of experience with color environments. Consequently, some proposal of color guideline by analysis of color simulation will be useful to make out preliminary design criteria in improvement of color.

Numerical Methods for Wave Response in Harbor

  • A natural and an artificial harbor can exhibit frequency (or period) dependent water surface oscillations when excited by incident waves. Such oscillations in harbors can cause significant damages to moored ships and adjacent structures. This can also induce undesirable current in harbor. Many previous investigators have studied various aspects of harbor resonance problem. In the present paper, both a localized finite element method(LFEM) which is based on the functional constructed by Chen & Mei(1974) and Bai & Yeung(1974) and an integral equation method which was used by Lee(1969) are applied to harbor resonance problem. The LFEM shows computationally more efficient than the integral equation method. Our test results show a good agreement compared with other results. In the present computations, specifically two harbor geometris are treated here. The present method by LFEM can be extended to a fully three dimensional harbor problem.

장주기파를 고려한 항만 가동율의 평가 (Evaluation of the Harbor Operation Rate Considering Long Period Waves)

  • In this study, the characteristics of long period waves are analyzed by field observation at Sokcho harbor on the eastern coast of Korea. firstly. the pressure data obtained from field observation are transformed into water surface elevations and the wave by wave analysis is applied to the observed wave data. also, we select long period waves by setting up the range 30-200sec, and suggest the relationship between ordinary waves and long period waves using the concept of the significant wave height. and, we examine the effects oft he long period waves on the rate of the harbor operation. The observation results demonstrate that the long period waves with heights of 1.2-14.6cm and periods of 35.8-162sec exist at Sokcho harbor. also, we found the rates of harbor operation based on long period waves are 61.8%-99.5% lower than the usual rates of 93.8%-100%.

  • For effective conservation of ocean and harbor, long-term and systematic development of the ocean and harbor monitoring system is essential. The monitoring system capable of real-time and accurate data acquisition is necessary for dealing with contamination such as red tide and the flood. This paper introduces the effective and economical real-time harbor environmental monitoring system that utilizes PCS wireless data communication technology. The monitoring system has various functions such as multiple communication, TCP/IP protocol for wireless internet access, system time synchronization, bi-directional communication between the measuring device and the server. The system has been implemented at Shinseondae harbor pier in Busan to validate the systems stability and effectiveness in data acquisition. The acquired real-time ocean and harbor environmental data is expected to have a large effect, when shared by public through internet.

국가어항 강릉 안목항과 해안가로의 경관색채 현황분석 연구 (A Study of Status Analysis on the Color-Scape about National Harbor Gangneung-Anmock and Coastal Street)

  • This paper analyzed the color of harbor and fishing village for the better landscape. Accordingly the aim of this study is to find out the color-scape in harbor, such as regional color and present status are to analyze with elements of design. In beginning point of development, it is to take practicable data about color planning for marine tourism. Regarding the utility of these characteristics, hue, value, chroma can be checked and design of color-scape may be possible to work out future harbor environments. This study suggests that harbor of contemporary is to be environmental harmony and regional color control. The result of this research, it is carried out that the color-scape is checked by partnership of experts, official and regional person with "agreement of landscape" to provide reasonable criteria in color surroundings. An analysis of regional color-scape is expected to use for landscape improvement of fishing village and harbor.

구룡포항의 개발과 파급효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Guryongpo Harbour and Its Impact)

  • Numerical model simulations are conducted for the evaluation of the water level variation in and out of the harbor due to the development and improvement of a harbor. The method used for the numerical analysis is the hybrid element method which includes energy dissipation due to imperfect reflection at the shore boundary and friction at the bottom. The model also includes the radiation condition on the open boundary by the analytic formulation and is applied to a real harbor, Guryongpo Harbor at the east coast of Korea. The result of experiment within the selected wave frequency band shows that the amplification factor out of the harbor is more than 2.0 at 32 sec period and strong responses near 20 sec, 25 sec, 54 sec periods in the harbor. Moreover, simulation results indicate that other longer wave periods affect to the variation of water level and horizontal water particle velocity exist. Thus, it seems to be necessary to modify the planform and the design of the harbor structures for the coming development.

항내 준설에 의한 항만 공진의 저감 (Reducing Harbor Resonance by Dredging of Harbor Basin)

  • 얕은 수심 위를 전파하는 파가 갑자기 훨씬 깊은 수심을 만나면 더 이상 전파하지 못하고 반사된다는 사실이 잘 알려져 있다. 이러한 현상을 항만에 적용하여 항내 수심을 항회에 비하여 매우 깊게 만들면 항내로 침입하는 파를 수심이 급변하는 지점에서 반사시킴으로써 항만 정온도를 개선할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 우선 완경사방정식 및 확장형 완경사방정식을 사용한 모형들을 입구에 급격한 수심 경사가 있는 직사각형 항만에서의 장주기 부진동에 적용한 결과 두 모형 사이에 차이가 거의 없음을 확인하였다. 이 수치모형을 항내 전체를 준설한 현실감 있는 모형 항만에 적용한 결과 기존 수심의 2배로 준설한 경우에는 저감 효과가 크지 않았으나 3배로 준설한 경우 선체운동에 악영향을 미칠 수 있는 주기 1∼5분의 장주기파를 크게 감소시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 항내 수역의 일부만 준설하는 경우에도 준설된 지역에서 전체 준설의 경우와 비슷한 정도의 효과가 있음을 확인함으로써 이 방법이 항내 장주기파 저감 대책의 하나로 고려될 수 있음을 제시하였다.

항만공진현상을 고려한 계류선박의 동요 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Analysis of Moored Ship Motion Considering Harbor Resonance)

  • 본 연구는 항만 공진 현상을 고려한 계류선박의 동요량 산정방법을 제시하고 공진현상이 선박의 동요에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 평가한 것이다. 공진 현상의 해석은 타원형완 경사방정식을 채용한 CGWAVE 모형을 사용하였고, 계류선박의 동요 해석은 3차원 Green 함수 모형을 사용하였다. 본 방법은 현지 계류선박의 동요량 계측 결과를 이용하여 타당성을 검증하였고, 포항신항의 최근 파랑 관측 자료와 비교하여 현지 항만의 적용성을 검토하였다. 파랑 관측 기록에서 얻어진 포항신항의 공진주기는 80분, 33분, 23분, 8분 등의 장주기 성분과 항내 슬립에서 발생한 주기 42초, 54초, 60초 등의 외중력파 성분이었으며 공진 해석 모형은 이들 공진주기를 잘 재현하였다. 본 연구에서는 포항신항의 제 8부두에 5,000톤, 10,000톤, 30,000톤의 선박이 계류되었을 때 공진 성분을 포함한 경우와 포함하지 않은 경우의 동요량을 각각 산정하여 공진 현상이 선박 동요에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 공진 성분을 포함한 경우는 그렇지 않은 경우에 비하여 12~400 %의 동요량 증가를 보였다. 공진 현상이 동요량에 미치는 영향은 Surge, Heave 동요는 선박이 클 수록, Roll과 Yaw 동요는 반대로 선박이 작을 수록 커짐을 알 수 있었다.
