  • The purpose of this study, due to recent increase of digital outdoor media, is to analyze the consumer experience of interaction with digital media. Through this study it was found that experience factor consisting of cognitive, emotional, and interactional factors has a mediating effect on brand preference and brand reliability which in turn influence consumers' purchasing intention. On the other hand, it was verified that the consumer satisfaction of the experience does not directly influence purchasing intention, but only through the mediation of brand reliability. This research has implications on the academic field as well as in work-level practices, as a study based on an actual operating digital media, not a laboratory simulation that verifies the importance of digital media experience in forming brand equity through immediate influence on brand preference and brand reliability.

  • Food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES) is a non-IgE mediated hypersensitivity disorder, which is associated with mainly gastrointestinal symptoms and has a delayed onset. The vomiting and/or diarrheal symptoms of FPIES typically begin in the first month of life in association with a failure to thrive, metabolic acidosis, and shock. Therefore, the differential diagnosis of FPIES and neonatal or infantile sepsis-like illnesses or gastroenteritis is difficult. The early recognition of indexes of suspicion for FPIES may help in the diagnosis and treatment of this disorder. The diagnosis of FPIES is generally made through clinical practice and food-specific IgE test findings are typically negative in this condition. Therefore, oral cow's milk challenge (OCC) remains the valid diagnostic standard for FPIES. An investigation of positive OCC outcomes helps to find out a diagnostic algorithm of criteria of a positive challenge in FPIES. Moreover, it has not been clearly determined in infantile FPIES when $1^{st}$ follow up-oral food challenge (FU-OFC) should be performed, with what kind of food protein (e.g., cow's milk, soy), and how much protein should be administered. Hence, to prevent the risk of inappropriate FU-OFC or accidental exposure and achieve appropriate dietary management, it is necessary to identify tolerance rates to major foods under the careful follow up of infantile FPIES patients. On the other hand, small intestinal enteropathy with villous atrophy is observed in FPIES and this enteropathy seems to be in part induced by both of epithelial apoptosis and intercellular junctional complex breakdown. The purpose of this report is to introduce an update on diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in FPIES and suggest the possible histopathological evidences in this disorder.

The Location and Topology of the 'Gungmyo' in Hanyang Doseong during the 18th and 19th Century (18·19세기 한양도성(漢陽都城) 안 궁묘(宮廟)의 입지와 위상)

  • This study was aimed at analyzing the location and topology of the 'Gungmyo(宮廟)' and in Hanyang Doseong(漢陽都城) during 18th and 19th century. Based on the changes of royal processions(行幸) which had been done between the Gungmyo and the Palace, the Gungmyo can be a barometer of cognition where the city center was. Hanyang Doseong was the the capital of Joseon(朝鮮) which had established by king Taejo(太祖). The city had been organized with Gyeongbok-gung(景福宮) as the center. However, after the Imjin War(1592), Gyeongbok-gung was destroyed and urban space was reorganized with Changduk-gung(昌德宮) which reconstructed first. As most kings in late Joseon dynasty had mainly stayed in Changduk-gung, lots of Gungmyos where a memorial service for king's relatives had been held were established in and around the palace and the frequency of visiting the Gungmyo varied by political purpose. Therefore, the location of the Gungmyo and the rounte of parade were important to impress on the center of urban space. In 18th century, lots of King's procession had been done with Changduk-gung as departure point. The king used to start from Donwha-mun(敦化門), and the routes included main street around Changduk-gung. It shows that the urban center focused on the east of the city. On the other hand, when the king lived in Kyeonghee-gung(慶熙宮), a secondary palace in late Joseon dynasty, the parade started from Hungwha-mun(興化門) and the urban center was expended to the west. Since Gyeongbok-gung had reconstructed in 1865, recognition scheme of urban space had changed from Changduk-gung to Gyeongbok-gung as the center. When the Gungmyo relocated western side of Gyeongbok-gung, spatial proximity of the palace and relation with facilities around downtown fed into changing the route of king's parade.

AQUACULTURE FACILITIES DETECTION FROM SAR AND OPTIC IMAGES

  • This study attempts to establish a system extracting and monitoring cultural grounds of seaweeds (lavers, brown seaweeds and seaweed fulvescens) and abalone on the basis of both KOMPSAT-2 and Terrasar-X data. The study areas are located in the northwest and southwest coast of South Korea, famous for coastal cultural grounds. The northwest site is in a high tidal range area (on the average, 6.1 min Asan Bay) and has laver cultural grounds for the most. An semi-automatic detection system of laver facilities is described and assessed for spacebome optic images. On the other hand, the southwest cost is most famous for seaweeds. Aquaculture facilities, which cover extensive portions of this area, can be subdivided into three major groups: brown seaweeds, capsosiphon fulvescens and abalone farms. The study is based on interpretation of optic and SAR satellite data and a detailed image analysis procedure is described here. On May 25 and June 2, 2008 the TerraSAR-X radar satellite took some images of the area. SAR data are unique for mapping those farms. In case of abalone farms, the backscatters from surrounding dykes allows for recognition and separation of abalone ponds from all other water-covered surfaces. But identification of seaweeds such as laver, brown seaweeds and seaweed fulvescens depends on the dampening effect due to the presence of the facilities and is a complex task because objects that resemble seaweeds frequently occur, particularly in low wind or tidal conditions. Lastly, fusion of SAR and optic spatial images is tested to enhance the detection of aquaculture facilities by using the panchromatic image with spatial resolution 1 meter and the corresponding multi-spectral, with spatial resolution 4 meters and 4 spectrum bands, from KOMPSAT-2. The mapping accuracy achieved for farms will be estimated and discussed after field verification of preliminary results.

The Relationship of Self-rated Health Condition to Stress Recognition, Health Related Habits, Serum Biochemical Indices, and Nutritional Intakes in Korean Healthy Adults (건강한 성인의 주관적 건강상태와 스트레스 인지, 건강 관련 습관, 혈청 생화학 지표 및 영양 섭취와의 관계)

  • This study examined the socioeconomic factors that affect self-rated health (SRH) in healthy adults, and the relationship of SRH to health-related habits, serum biochemical indices, and nutritional intakes. Subjects consisted of 1,154 healthy adults without any known disease, aged 19 to 65 years (average age of 36.7), whose information was obtained from the 2013 Korean National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey data. Of these subjects, 73 rated themselves as 'very healthy,' 460 indicated that they were 'healthy,' 568 self-identified as 'ordinary', and 53 put themselves in the 'unhealthy' category. The proportion of subjects who chose 'unhealthy' was significantly increased with higher frequencies of disruptions in their daily lives (p<0.05), regret after drinking (p<0.05), smoking (p<0.001), and higher levels of stress (p<0.001). On the other hand, the proportion of subjects reported as 'very healthy' was significantly higher with regular intense (p<0.001) or moderate physical activities (p<0.05), regular walking (p<0.05), a perception of being 'normal' in their body image (p<0.01), a decrease of body weight more than 3 kg in the past year (p<0.05), and without risk factors for metabolic syndrome (p<0.05). Serum triglyceride level was lower, and 25-(OH) vitamin D content was significantly higher, in the 'very healthy' group as compared to the 'unhealthy' group (p<0.05). Dietary fiber and vitamin C intakes were significantly higher in the 'very healthy' group than 'unhealthy' group (p<0.05). The overall results suggest that a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise, non-smoking, good stress management, and higher intakes of fiber and vitamin C, may be potential factors that affect one's positive perception of health.

  • We propose a stylized facial illustration method that expresses important features of a target highly abstractly but effectively from a human facial picture. Our method first detects facial components such as eyes and their associated regions from an input image, and then uses the detected results to render a stylized portrait. Our illustration method mainly consists of two key components and additional components: a tonal illustration component to draw simple tones, a line illustration component to draw a set of lines, and additional illustration components for hair, clothes. etc. The illustration part of the proposed method aims at illustrating features of a target effectively in a highly abstracted way like hand-drawn paintings. In order to achieve this goal, our method adopts an oriental black-ink painting style, which expresses objects effectively with empty spaces and simple expressions such as abstracted lines.

  • In this paper, we propose a real-time interaction method using user's mouth wind in mobile device. In mobile and virtual reality, user interaction technology is important, but various user interface methods is still lacking. Most of the interaction technologies are hand touch screen touch or motion recognition. In this study, we propose an interface technology that can interact with real time using user's mouth wind. The direction of the wind is determined by using the angle and the position between the user and the mobile device, and the size of the wind is calculated by using the magnitude of user's mouth wind. To show the superiority of the proposed technique, we show the result of visualizing the flow of the vector field in real time by integrating the mouth-wind interface into the Navier-Stokes equations. We show the results of the paper on mobile devices, but can be applied in the Agumented reality(AR) and Virtual reality(VR) fields requiring interface technology.

The Effect of SNS Users' Use Motivations on Using SNS and Recognizing Characteristics of SNS Messages: Focused on the Comparison among 'Facebook', 'Twitter', 'Cyworld', and 'Me2day' (소셜네트워크서비스의 이용동기가 실제 이용과 메시지 특성 인식에 미치는 영향: '페이스북', '트위터', '싸이월드', '미투데이'의 비교를 중심으로)

  • According to the result of the online survey of SNS users, SNS users' use motivations consist of 'information', 'participation', and 'interaction'. SNS use motivations explain characteristics of an individual SNS very well. SNS users that aim to collect information use much more the SNS for communication like 'Twitter' and 'Me2day' than other SNS. SNS users that aim to participate in communication through SNS use much more 'Cyworld' that is joined by the most subscriber. And SNS users that aim to interact with other users use much more the SNS for network like 'Facebook' and 'Cyworld'. This tendency can also be seen in the use hours and access times of SNS by SNS use motivations. Meanwhile, the SNS Users that aim to collect information and interact with other users positively rate SNS messages. On the other hand, the SNS Users that aim to participate in communication through SNS negatively rate those. This confirms that SNS use motivations affect SNS users' recognition of SNS messages.

A Research on the Actual Condition of Education on the Western Clothing Construction in Home Economics and Housework Curriculum of High School in Chonbuk Province (전라북도 고등학교 가정.가사 과목의 서양의복구성 교육실태)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey the actual condition of education on the western clothing construction in Home Economics and Housework curriculum of high school. And the finding of this study will the helpful to the persons in authority who take part in the course of compilation of the western clothing contruction. The subjects of this study were 101 high school teachers in Chonbuk province. Their responses to the questionaires were analyzed by frequencies and percentiles. The major findings of the study were as follows. 1. Most high school had only a little educational facilities for learning of clothing construction of, if any, they could only show examples in practice. 2 In case of making clothes, students who sew by hand carried out drafting and cutting on their desks in the classroom. When they have practical training, 56.4% of them cheese only one of one-piece dress trousers, and skirt which are presented in the textbook. The related teachers indicated that content composition of the texbook was not fit for the purpose of the students level, and also pointed out the deficiencies of educational facilities, lack of teacher’s research and training, and lack of school hours of evaluation, practical skill was performed in parallel with paper-test at 73.3%. 3. Pajamas and one-piece dress presented in the textbook were the most suitable for the practice at 64.7%. They hoped that illustrations in textbook are so large and full that clothes made through the practice can be worn. Also they hoped that their opinions and wearable guidance will be reflected in the textbook. They emphasized the need of western clothing construction unit because of acquistion of elementary knowledge. The current amount of content composition was enough or excessive. In addition, they understood the curriculum of high school is rather closely connected with that of middles school. Their recognition of the rate of difficulty is very similar to that of other school teachers. They recognized the goal of learning should be applied to the real home life.

A Situational Training System based on Augmented Reality for Developmentally Disabled People (발달 장애인을 위한 증강현실 기반 상황훈련 시스템)

  • Nowadays, many interface devices or training systems have been developed with recent developments in IT technology but only a few training systems for developmentally disabled people have been introduced. In this paper, we present a real-time, interactional and situational training system based on augmented reality in order to improve cognitive capability and adaptive ability in the daily life of developmentally disabled people. Our system is specifically based on serving food in restaurants. This augmented reality based system provides them to experience various different situations safely and take the training session as much as they want under any circumstances. When they use our system, they are able to look around with Head Mounted Display(HMD) and take training sessions easily based on various situational scenarios. After experimenting on our system for 3 months, we found they had no aversion about wearing HMD and learned quicker as they practiced over and over and improved their cognitive capability and adaptive ability. We also got a positive feedback that it had an excellent educational value from teachers in special-education-school.
