New Fluorene-Based Polyquinoxalines with Ether-Linkage in The Main Chain: Synthesis and Light-Emitting Properties

  • We synthesized and characterized new fluorene-based polyquinoxalines with ether-linkage in the main chain, which have luminescent properties. Cyclic voltammetry reveals that these polymers have a low-lying LUMO and HOMO energy levels. Therefore, the polymers would be attractive candidates for electron-tansporting or hole-blocking materials in LEDs.

  • 다채널 음장 재현 시스템에서 공간 전달 특성을 제거하는 역필터의 설계가 불가결하다. 주파수영역에서 최소 Norm해를 이용한 설계 방법은 시간 영역 설계방법과 비교하여 볼 때, 적은 계산량과 메모리량으로 설계할 수 있다. 그러나, 이 방법에서는 역필터를 필요로 하게 되고 FIR 필터로 설계 가능하다는 보장이 없다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 주파수 영역 처리를 반복하여 수행하는 것으로 다 채널 음장 재현시스템을 위한 안정한 역필터를 설계하는 방법을 제안한다.

Taxonomic Study on Korean Schizopora

  • Schizopora paradoxa is a white rot fungus showing great variation in hymenophoral configuration. It has been often treated as close to Irpex or Hyphodontia and frequently confused with S. flavipora which was identified as an unrecorded species in Korea. Distinct features including sizes of basidia and basidiospores as well as hymenophoral shape make S. paradoxa differ from S. flavipora. Remarkable characters of hymenophores and microscopic structures are described and their significance is discussed for the taxonomy of Korean Schizopora.

Highly Efficient Top-Emitting Electrophosphorescent Organic Light-Emitting Devices

  • We present both a theoretical analysis and experimental data to show that electrophosphorescent top-emitting organic light emitting-devices (TOLEDs) with a reflective anode and a transparent cathode can be more efficient than the equivalent state-of-the-art bottom-emitting electrophosphorescent OLEDs (PHOLEDs$^{TM}$). The lifetime of devices with transparent cathodes are shown to approach that of the corresponding bottom-emitting devices.
