This study aims to the increasing the reliability of gun firing system of patrol killer guided missile from failure mode analysis. In order to find out the breakdown parameter, the examination process of the sources of the problems and the quality improvement activities are analyzed with performance testing data. From this study, the rate of operation and the reliability of 76 mm naval guns will be increase. And the result of the study is expected to be used as a reference data in the naval gun firing system for another failure mode analysis.

DUe to the requirement of high precision and the complexity during the tool design for electron gun elements, it sometimes causes human-errors. Also, in the case of beginners, they have more trial and error than skilled engineers. To remove these problems and increase the productivity in the practice field, it need the deveiopment of CAD system for electron gun element tools. Through this study, a CAD system of electron gun element tools which is used by used by knowledge base system including expert's technology in the practics, has been developed. To developed this system, it has used C-language under HP-UNIX system and CIS customer language of the EXCESS CAD/CAM system. An application of this system will provide effective aids to the designer in this field.

High value sheet resistance (Rs, 350 \ulcorner/ -80 K \ulcorner/ ) borom implanted polysilicon resistors were fabricated under process condition compatible with bipolar integrated circuits fabrication. This paper includes the effect of contact ion implantation on Rs and the effect of electron gun(e-gun) deosition vs. non e-gun evaporated metal contacts on the Rs. From results, we observed that the contact ion implanted samples showed higher Rs value than those without contact ion implantation. Also, it was shown that there is noticeable amount of Rs degradation for e-gun samples, while sputtered samples expressed little Rs degradation after PtSi was formed.

A numerical analysis for a silencer with three baffles of 120mm tank gun has been performed. The Reynolds-Averaged Wavier-Stokes equations with Baldwin-Lomax turbulence model were employed to compute unsteady, compressible flow inside the tank gun and the silencer. An axisymmetric computational domain was constructed by using 12 multi block chimera grids. The resolution of flow field is observed by depicting calculated pressure and muzzle brake force. The peak blast pressure and noise through the silencer reduced approximately 99% and 41dB in comparison to the tank gun without the silencer at near filed.

We have successfully used the low-pressure BioWare gene gun, developed for gene transfer in animal cells, for plant tissues. The BioWare device is easy to manipulate. Just 50 psi helium pressure was sufficient to transfer foreign genes into the aleurone layer and embryo of maize without causing tissue damage in the impact area. As shown by expression signals from invasive histochemical ${\beta}-glucuronidase$ (GUS) activity, the foreign reporter gene expressed well in bombarded tissues. This successful GUS-transient expression extends the application of this low-pressure gene gun from animal cells to plant tissues.

Carboxy-guns are used for rapid and precise injection of $CO_2$ gas to the target skin area using external power source. In the design of carboxy-gun, the most important thing is how to precisely control injection volume of $CO_2$ gas. This paper deals with the control scheme of injection volume of carboxy-gun using solenoid valve. First the amount of volume that passes through the solenoid valve under on-off time ratio control is estimated based on the assumption of compressible gas flow. The flow rate of gas is experimentally measured under the varying pressure of the gas reservoir. Two results showed good correlation to each other, thus demonstrating the validity of the volume control strategy.

In order to investigate the clinical efficiency based on Oriental Medical References of Hyang-Sa-Yuk-Gun-Ja-Tang and Oh-Pe-San, histological studies have been done by using the experimental animal. The following results were obtained. 1. The Hyang-Sa-Yuk-Gun-Ja-Tang showed a significant promoting effect of repair on the epithelial layer from the basement membrane of duodenal ulcer in rats. 2. The Oh-Pe-San showed efficiencies about repair of the necrosis in epithelial layer on the acute gastritis in rats. According to above results, it is concluded that Oh-Pe-San and Hyang-Sa-Yuk-Gun-Ja-Tang were recognized to be effective on the acute gastritis and the duodenal ulcer in rats, and this study may suggest a clinical guidance to the prescriptions for the treatment of gastritis end gastric ulcer.

To meet an increasing demand for high performance in gun dynamic plant, both a precise and a fast response positioning are strongly required for the gun servomechanism control. A mode switching control(MSC) system, which includes a fine stabilizing controller, fast positioning one and a switching function, is widely used to meet this requirement. Stabilization is performed through PID controller, while proximate time optimal servo(PTOS) is used for target designation. Because gun dynamic have large damping comparing to acceleration, PTOS algorithm with damping is newly derived. This paper adopts the initial value compensation method that improve the transient response after switching. Some simulation results are given to show the effectiveness of our scheme.

Oriental liver fluke (Clonorchis sinensis) infection was surveyed among residents of Hamyang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea during the period of January 2001 to March 2002. Total 1,041 stool samples were collected from residents who visited Public Health Center and its branches in Hamyang-gun and examined using formalin-ether sedimentation method. The overall egg positive rate was 16%, male showing higher positive rate (21%) than female (10%). The age group of 30 to 50 years had the highest egg positive rate of C. sinensis from 20% to 22%. The positive examinees were treated with praziquantel and educated individually to prevent reinfection . Egg positive rate in this area was decreased when compared with results recorded in the past, however, still remained more than 10%. This study suggests that periodic examination, treatment as well as education of residents should be continued and systematized.
