We investigated the influence of the root of Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer on the secretion of catecholamines from bovine adrenal chromaffin cells, which are used as a model of nervous systems. In two major parts extracted from the ginseng root, the crude saponin fraction, but not the non-saponin fraction, reduced the secretion from the cells, stimulated by acetylcholine (ACh). Ginseng saponins (ginsenosides) are classified into three groups, the panaxadiol, the panaxatriol and the oleanolic acid groups, on the basis of the chemical structures of their saponins. Both the panaxadiol and the panaxatriol saponins, excluding only one oleanolic acid saponin ginsenoside-Ro, generally reduced the ACh-evoked secretion. The inhibitory effects of the panaxatriol were much stronger than those of the panaxadiol. However, ginsenoside-Rg, and -Rh3 in the panaxadiol saponins were the potent inhibitors comparable to the panaxatriol saponins. Ginsenoside-Rg2 in the panaxatriol was the most effective. It is probable that the ginsenoside inhibition of the catecholamine secretion is due to the suppression of the function of the nicotinic ACh receptor-cation channels. On the other hand, ginsenoside-Rg2 did not affect the angiotensin II-, the bradykinin-, the histamine- and the neurotensin- induced catecholamine secretions from the chromaffin cells and the muscarine- and the histamine- induced contraction of the ileum in guinea-pigs. Ginsenoside-Rbl, a panaxadiol saponin, and ginsenoside-Ro had no or only a slight effect on them. On the contrary, ginsenoside-Rg3 not only competitively inhibited the muscarine-induced ileum contraction but also reduced the angiotensin R -, the bradykinin-, the histamine- and the neurotensin-induced catecholamine secretions. Thus, the ginseng root contains active ingredients, namely some ginsensides, which suppress the responses induced by receptor stimulation. The inhibitory effects of ginseng saponins may be one of the action mechanisms for the pharmacological effects of the Panax ginseng root.
This study is for the analysis of the influence that the factors(communication, domestic life, offensive action, economic problem) of marital conflicts of old age and ecological systems factors(individual, family, sociality) have a impact to the divorce of elderly(thoughts and attempts of divorce) and the impulse to commit a crime(violence, egoism, running away from home). The guinea pigs is 350 married people of ages greater than 55 in the capital area. The 338 collected data excluding incomplete 12 data were analyzed. Statistical methods used in this study were factor analysis, frequency analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Hiearchical regression analysis and Scheffe test with SPSS 18.0. The result are as follows. First, the marital conflict and ecological systems have a severe impact to the divorce of elderly, the more the conflict of the domestic life and the offensive action, the conflict in communicative and economic problem are getting higher. Second, the marital conflict and ecological systems have a severe impact to the impulse to commit a crime, the more the conflict of a domestic life and the conflict caused by spouse's attack, the economic problem, the egotistic impulse are getting higher. Third, there are some statistically similar differences of all the parts(sex, academic ability, job, children coresidence, religion, physical condition, monthly average income) in the marital conflict by characteristic of sociology of population, ecological systems, the divorce of elderly and the impulse to commit a crime.

This evaluation tested the skin irritation and sensitization of an acaricide (Wagoojabi II®, WGJB) for the control of poultry red mite, containing 20% Chamaecyparis obtusa oil and 56% Cinnamomum camphora oil. In a primary skin irritation test, rabbits were dermally treated with WGJB for 24 h. The acaricide did not induce any adverse reactions such as erythema and edema on intact skin sites, but on abraded skin sites, some rabbits showed very slight erythema and edema 24 h after topical application. So, the acaricide was classified as a practically mild-irritating material based on a 0.625 primary irritation index score. In the skin sensitization test, guinea pigs were sensitized with intradermal injection of 0.1mL WGJB for 24 h. After 1 week, The WGJB was treated on the site of injection, and challenged 2 weeks later. The WGJB did not induce any allergic reactions. Therefore, the WGJB was graded as a weak material at '0' in both sensitization score and rate. From the results of this study, it is suggested that WGJB does not cause contact irritation and sensitization.

In this study, the cartridge part of the focused ultrasound stimulation system was used as a sample to conduct a skin irritation test and a skin sensitization test through animal experiments among the tests related to GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), a medical device safety evaluation standard. The test was conducted after IACUC approval using 6 female New Zeland White Rabbits. The polar and non-polar stimulation indices were all '0.0'. In addition, in the case of skin sensitization evaluation, 30 guinea pigs approved by IACUC were divided into control and experimental groups, and all induction and induction steps were applied using the eluate itself without separate dilution of the test sample and blank test solution. As a result of the experiment, the skin reaction grade of the control animal was 0 grade, and there was no animal showing more than 1 grade in the skin reaction of the test animal. As a result of both tests, no abnormal skin symptoms were observed, and when applied to the human body to treat patients, the test materials used in the tests will investigate the stability of whether any diseases that cause skin abnormal symptoms will occur.

Gabensis village is one of the biggest village In the Wampar Local Level Government area within the Huon Gulf District of Morobe Province with a population of around 3,000. The major staple food is banana which is well complemented by minor staples yam, cassava, Singapore/Chinese taro and sweet potato. Apart from gardening for own consumption, the villagers engage in selling of vegetables, garden staples, cocoa beans, coconuts, timber, chicken, fish and pig meat to supplement their livelihood. Livestock like pigs and chickens are also kept for meat and for commercial purpose. Bettlenut which was once one of the main cash crops has now been overtaken by cocoa due to a disease that had attacked almost the entire bettlenut tree population in the area. Even though the Wau-Bulolo highway cuts through the village and all have access to transport infrastructure, the majority of the population still encounter problems in communication due to poor telecommunication coverage. On average most people earn not more than K50 per week due to constrains in production and marketing among others. Gabensis village has the potential to develop a tourism industry given its natural attraction of Lake Wanam. Beside there is also the natural eel farming and the fish pond at the nearby Potsie village. These natural attractions pose huge tourism potential for the community. As part of government services delivery and development, education and health issues is very much important in the community however there is lack of infrastructural development and poor service delivery especially in the area of health. However, the responsibility is on the community to organize themselves to realize that potential. A well developed agro-ecotourism investments would have positive spillover effects to the community thus contributing towards improving the livelihoods of the many farming families.
In order to compare the anti-stress effect of Guibitang with that of ascorbic acid, after these medicines were administered to guinea pigs induced by heating and swimming stress, the changes of the weight of body and organ, and content of plasma catecholamines, serum total cholesterol, free cholesterol, triglyceride, protein, glucose and cortisol were measured. The results were as follows : 1. The weight of the body was increased with statistical significance in the groups administered ascorbic acid and ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group administered non ascorbic acid on both heating and swimming stress. 2. The weight of spleen decreased with statistical significance in the groups administered ascorbic acid, Guibitang and ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group administered non ascorbic acid on heating stress, but in case of swimming stress, the weight of spleen decreased with statistical significance in the groups administered ascorbic acid and ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group administered non ascorbic acid. The weight of adrenal decreased with statistical significance in the groups administered ascorbic acid and ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group administered non ascorbic acid on heating stress alone. 3. Plasma norepinephrine content decreased with statistical significance not only in the groups administered ascorbic acid and ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group administered non ascorbic acid but in the group administered ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group administered ascorbic acid on heating stress. In case of swimming stress, norepinephrine decreased with statistical significance in the groups administered ascorbic acid, Guibitang and ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group administered non ascorbic acid. 4. Plasma dopamine content decreased with statistical significance only in the group administered ascorbic acid and ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group administered non ascorbic acid on both heating and swimming stress. 5. Serum total cholesterol content decreased with statistical significance in the groups administered ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group administered non ascorbic acid on heating stress, but in case of swimming stress, it decreased with statistiscal significance only in the group administered ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group administered non ascorbic acid. 6. Serum triglyceride content decreased with statistical significance not only in the groups administered ascorbic acid, Guibitang and ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group administered non ascorbic acid but in the group administered ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group adminstered ascorbic acid on heating stress. In case of swimming stress, triglyceride decrease with statistical significance only in the group administered ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group administered non ascorbic acid. 7. Serum glucose content increased with statistical significance in the groups administered Guibitang and ascorbic acid with Guibitang as compared with in the group administered non ascorbic acid on both heating and swimming stress, particulaly in case of swimming stress, in the group administered ascorbic acid with Guibitang, it increased with statistical significance as compared with in the group administered ascorbic acid. 8. L-Ascorbic acid (AsA) is an essential nutrient for prevention of scurvy in humans, primates and guinea pigs that lack $L-gulono-\gamma-lactone$ oxidase which is required for the final step of AsA biosynthesis. AsA participates in various hydroxylation reactions involved in the biosynthesis of collagen. The purpose of this study is to clarify the role of AsA on collagen synthesis in 3T6 fibroblasts and primary cultured cells of chondrocytes. Cells were cultured in medium supplemented with catalase and AsA at various concentration. Supplement of AsA induced collagen synthesis in 3T6 fibroblasts and primary cultured cells of chondrocytes. The most remarkable induction of collagen synthesis by AsA was found in primary cultured chondrocytes. The content of collagen representing the amounts of extracellular matrix significantly increased in the cells of which growth was stimulated by AsA, while it decreased with increasing passage numbers of subculture in cells. It showed that the content of collagen decreased in the medium which contained AsA at the concentration higher than 5.0 mM. However, the contents of collagen to DNA were not different among various AsA concentrations. Supplementing with AsA resulted in enhancement of collagen formation and extracellular matrix. Therefore, there might be a Positive correlation between the activity of catalase and the AsA concentration. Moreover, it can be assumed that AsA stimulates the collagen synthesis by optimizing the cell-culture environment.
