Chlorella의 유기산대사에 관한 연구 (Studies on the organic acids metabolism in chlorella cells.)

  • Using the synchronous culture method and the manometric technique, changes in respiratory activities, utilization of some organic acids (succinate, malate, lactate and acetate etc.) and its effect on glucose metabolism in Chlorella cells at different growing stages were measured. 1) Endogenous respiration of the cells was not active at growing stage and was almost constant throughout the early ripening, maturing and division stages. 2) Lactate was utilized as respiratory substrate better than other organic acids tested. Exogenous respiration of glucose was most active at growing and maturing stages and was decreased strikingly at division stage. 3) Succinate and citrate inhibited endogenous and glucose respiration of the cells throughout the all life cycle. 4) Malate and acetate were utilized in the cells at early growing and division stages better, and malate enhanced the glucose respiration while in case of acetate it was depressed. 5) Calcium ion inhibited not only permeability of respiratory substrate but endogenous respiration itself.

맥류의 수확시기가 사일리지의 재료적 특성 및 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Different Growing Stages of Winter Cereal Crops on the Quality of Silage Materials and Silages)

  • 본 시험은 보리호밀연맥 및 밀 4가지의 맥류에 있어서 수확시기가 사일리지의 재료적 특성과 제조한 사일리지의 품질에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자 실시하였다. 사일리지의 제조는 4회(수잉기출수기개화기황숙기)의 수확시기별로 실시하였다. 각 맥류는 위의 4처리 2반복으로 소형 비닐 백에 각각 1kg 정도의 재료를 넣어 진공포장하여 40일간 발효시켰다.사일리지 재료의 조성분은 수잉기에서 출수기개화기황숙기로 진행되면서 수분 및 조단백질 함량은 감소하고, NDFADFhemicellulose 함량은 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 수용성 탄수화물의 경우 전체 시험구에서 수잉기에서 황숙기로 진행되면서 과당 및 포도당의 함량이 유의하게 감소하였다. 사일리지 재료의 초산 함량은 각 생육단계에 따라 일정한 경향을 보이지 않았다. 사일리지 재료의 pH는 전체적으로 5.91-6.01의 범위였으며, 초종간 및 생육단계별로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 그리고 완충력은 전 처리구에서 건물기준 23.23-29.47meq/ 100g의 범위를 나타내었으며, 생육단계가 진행됨에 따라 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 제조된 사일리지의 조성분은 생육단계가 진행됨에 따라 전 초종에서 수분조단백질이 함량은 감소하는 경향을 나타냈으며, 섬유소의 함량은 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 생육단계가 경과됨에 따라 조제된 사일리지의 pH는 각 초종에 따라 다소의 차이는 있으나 높아지는 경향이었으며, 초산과 낙산 및 젖산의 함량은 전체적으로 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 그리고 완충력은 각 초종의 생육단계가 경과됨에 따라 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 따라서 맥류 사일리지의 제조시 이러한 재료적 특성을 잘 활용하는 것이 양질의 사일리지를 제조하는데 효율적인 하나의 방법이라고 사료된다.

Neurospora의 생육시기에 따른 호흡능의 변화와 자외선 감수성과의 상관관계

  • Using conidia of Neurospora, changes in respiratory activities and the sensitivity to the ultraviolet light of the cells at different growing stages were measured by manometric methods, and the correlation between them was observed. Efficiency in the utilization of various carbon sources, such as, glucose, sucrose, maltose, starch and sodium acetate, in growth and exogenous respiration of N. crassa was also determined. Growth rate of N. crassa was decreased considerably in the medium containing sodium acetate than in the glucose medium and was almost zero in the lactose medium, whereas the utilization of sucrose, maltose and starch was ve교 high, as that of glucose. Respiratory activities of the cells veried considerably depending upon their different growing stages. Actively growing hyphae exhibited the greatest activity in exogenous glucose respiration, followed by germinating and activated conidia in decreasing order. There was no proportional relationship between the dose of ultraviolet light irradiated and its effect on the respiratory activity of the cells, though the more the dose of ultraviolet light, the more the injury. The sensitivity of the cells to ultraviolet light varied with the different respiratory activities of the cells linked to the developmental stages. In general, the more actively growing cells having high respiratory activities exhibited the more serious injury.

Identification of Differentially Expressed Proteins at Four Growing Stages in Chicken Liver

  • Because of high growth rate and large deposition of fat in the abdomen, the chicken has been used as a model organism for understanding lipid metabolism, fattening and growing. In this study, differentially expression of proteins in chicken liver, one of the important organs for lipid metabolism, has been investigated at four different growing stages. After separation of proteins using two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE), more than 700 protein spots were detected. Among them, 13 growing stage specific proteins in chicken liver were selected and further investigated by matrix-assisted laser adsorptions ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS). Of these, 12 proteins were matched to existing proteins based on a database search. The identified fat-related proteins in this study were fatty acid synthase (FASN) and malic enzyme (ME1). These proteins were more highly expressed at week 32 than at other weeks. In order to confirm the differential expression, one of the proteins, FASN, was confirmed by western blotting. The identified proteins will give valuable information on biochemical roles in chicken liver, especially for lipid metabolism.

벼의 생육시기에 따른 일부 광호흡효소의 활성변화 (Activities of Catalase, Glycolate Oxidase, Hydroxypyruvate and NADPH-Glyoxylate Reductases at Different Growing Stages in the Leaves of Rice Plants)

  • Catalase, glycolate oxidase, hydroxypyruvate and NADPH-glyoxylate reductases activities in cell free extracts from leaves of 3 cultivars, Suwon 264, IR 36 and Jin Heung of rice plants were studied at different growing stages. Catalase and glycolate oxidase shows inclining activities toward the maximum vegetative growth whereas declining activities in either the enzymes were noticed during the maturing stage. After the photoperiodic condition exhibit increasing hydroxypyruvate and NADPH-glyoxylate reductases activities with time until maturing stage. No significant differences were found in the enzyme activities, and in analytical data of nitrogen, chlorophyll contents, dry weight and soluble proteins among the 3 cultivars.

Effect of Waterlogging Duration on Growth Characteristics and Productivity of Forage Corn at Different Growth Stages Under Paddy Field Conditions

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of waterlogging duration on the growth characteristics and productivity of forage corn at different growth stages under paddy field conditions. Treatments consisted of waterlogging at two growth stages (V7 or V14) for four waterlogging durations (no waterlogging, 48 hours, 72 hours, and 96 hours, respectively). The V14 growth stage was more vulnerable to waterlogging than the V7 stage. Among the waterlogging durations, the lodging score increased at 48 hours. The stem height of forage corn decreased with the increase in waterlogging duration at the different growth stages (V7 and V14). Increase in waterlogging duration reduced the stem dry matter yield, ear dry matter yield, and total dry matter yield at both growing stages (V7 and V14). The waterlogging treatments at the V14 stage affected ear dry matter yield more than those at the V7 growing stage. Thus, the management of forage corn under paddy field conditions must be strengthened during early (V7) and grain fill stages (V14). When waterlogging occurs, surface and subsurface drainage should be implemented within 48 hours to control (no waterlogging) the groundwater level and, thus, minimize economic losses due to forage corn damage.

Gonadal Development, Spawning and Plasma Sex Steroid Levels of the Indoor Cultured Grunt, Hapalogenys nitens

  • The gonadosomatic index (GSI), gonadal development and changes in hormones in plasma level of the indoor cultured grunt (Hapalogenys nitens) were investigated by histological study from August 2011 to October 2012. The GSI showed similar trends with gonad developmental stages during the culture periods. Changes in plasma level of estradiol-$17{\beta}$ of female H. nitens reached the highest value before the spawning period, and seasonal changes in plasma level of estradiol-$17{\beta}$ were similar in trends of oocyte developments and GSI changes. Testosterone levels of male H. nitens reached the highest value before and after the spent stage. Ovarian developmental stages of H. nitens could be classified into early growing stage, late growing stage, mature stage, ripe and spawning stage, recovery and resting stage. The testicular developmental stages could be divided into growing stage, mature stage, ripe and spent stage, and recovery and resting stage.

잎담배 재배농가의 생산비 분석 (Production Cost Analysis of Leaf tobacco farm Households)

  • This study had carried out an analysis of leaf tobacco production cost by cost items, growing stages, and farm sizes per 10a to provide the basic data for determination of the purchasing price of leaf tobacco by KT&G. Considering the survey results of 12 tobacco farm households, the composition rates of production cost by items revealed as 7-10% for land service, 5-22% for depreciation, 13-25% for material costs, 50-65% for labour cost respectively. The production cost of leaf tobacco by growing stages were shown as 15.3% in nursery bed period, 32.3% in main growing period in field, 30.8% in harvesting period and 21.6% in packing period. The magnitude of wage expenditure was appeared as harvesting stage, packing stage, growing stage on main field and nursery bed stage in order. The amount of material costs were revealed as the growing stage in main field, harvesting stage, nursery bed stage and packing stage respectively. The production costs of leaf tobacco per 10a by farm sizes were shown as 1,615,879won for small farm, 1,446,896won for medium farm and 1,454,408won for large farm respectively. The production cost of leaf tobacco had shown decreasing tendency according to increasing farm sizes. To promote the international market competitiveness of leaf tobacco producing farms, labour saving production technologies and cost effective farm size to decrease tobacco production cost should be developed.

모밀(Fagopyrum esculentum Moench)생장과정중의 유리 Amino 산과 당질의 성장에 관하여 (The Variation of the Contents of Free Amino Acids and the Carbohydrates in the Whole Plant of Fagopyrum escullentum Moench during the Stages of Growing)

  • At the different growing stages of Fagopyrum esculentum Moench planted at the green house and out doors, the contents of free amino acids in the whole plants,were determined quantitatively by spot-extract colorimetric method (J. Awapara method) using the chromatograms obtained by the ion-exchange resin and paper chromatographic method. And the contents of carbohydrate in the whole plant were determined by Bertrand method. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Almost same kinds of free amino acids were detected in the both plants. 2. Concentrations of most amino acids was increased progressively during growth; further growth was accompanied by decreased concentrations. 3. Rate of growth and increasing of total amino acid content of green house plant is greater than that of out dorrs plant. 4. At the same stages of gwoth, total free amino acid content of green house plant is higher than that of out doors plant but sugar content is lower. 5. There was rapidly increasing of sugar content and decreasing of total free amino acid content except asparagine during mature of seeds.

Research on the Impact of Agricultural Mechanization Service on Wheat Planting Cost: A Case Study of Henan Province

  • Given the different effects of agricultural mechanization on various stages of wheat planting in Henan, this article selects 78 observation samples from Henan, a major wheat-growing province. It uses different research methods (multiple linear regression, social network analysis model, multi-layer sensory nerves network) to conduct a comparative study, and the calculation results of the model show that the experimental results have a strong convergence and consistency. Agricultural mechanization services have significant effects on the three stages of wheat planting: harvesting, plowing and sowing. A higher degree of mechanized service in several stages can reduce the cost of growing wheat on family farms.
