  • The patient characters in medical emergency facilities is in emergent situation and very wide medical area. So, the spatial composition of this facilities should be more efficient than general medical ones. For this reason, patient who visit medical emergency center should be triaged by each property of patient. And then the clinical space is to be composed in response to flow of each patient group that triaged. Therefore this study aims to find method of the spatial composition and architectural details of medical emergency center.

  • The Zopheridae Solier consisting of members from three previous families, Zopherinae Solier, Monommatinae Blanchard and Colydiinae Erichson, is considered the taxonomically most challenging group, and comprises more than 1,700 described species worldwide. The members of Zopheridae represent diverse morphological variations, and are difficult to separate morphologically from other tenebrionoid families. Two Zopheridae genera, Colobicus Latreille and Lasconotus Erichson, are identified for the first time in Korea, and two wood-boring species, C. hirtus (Rossi) and L. niponicus (Lewis), are newly reported in the Korean fauna. A key to the genera of Korean Zopheridae, and diagnoses, habitus photographs, and illustrations of diagnostic characters of the two species are provided.

  • For a lifted nontrivial additive character $\lambda'$ and a multiplicative character $\chi$ of the finite field with $q^2$ elements, the 'Gauss' sums $\Sigma\lambda'$(tr $\omega$) over $\omega$ $\in$ SU(2n + 1, $q^2$) and $\Sigma\chi$(det $\omega$)$\lambda'$(tr $\omega$) over $\omega$ $\in$ U(2n + 1, $q^2$) are considered. We show that the first sum is a polynomial in q with coefficients involving certain new exponential sums and that the second one is a polynomial in q with coefficients involving powers of the usual twisted Kloosterman sums and the average (over all multiplicative characters of order dividing q-1) of the usual Gauss sums. As a consequence we can determine certain 'generalized Kloosterman sum over nonsingular Hermitian matrices' which were previously determined by J. H. Hodges only in the case that one of the two arguments is zero.

  • The Polyporaceae is a chaotic mass of genera having poroid hymenophores in the Aphyllophorales. To classify the Polyporaceae into more natural groups, phylogenetic analyses were performed using nuclear small subunit ribosomal DNA sequences. Thirty-six species from the families of the Polyporaceae, the Hymenochaetaceae, the Ganodermataceae, the Corticiaceae, the Bondarzewiaceae, the Meruliaceae, the Steccherinaceae and the Lentinaceae were phylogenetically compared. By performing maximum parsimony analysis, seven phylogenetically meaningful groups were identified and discussed. The hyphal system, presence or absence of clamps, and the type of rot were found as important characters in defining the groups. Each group was phylogenetically significant enough to be a core member of each family when the Polyporaceae was split into smaller and more natural families.

본 논문에서 제안하고자 하는 스케줄러는 IEEE 802.11에 CSDP (Channel State Dependent Packet) 스케줄러의 LSM(Link State Monitoring)의 개념과 IEEE 802.11e에서 제안하고 있는 EDCA (Enhanced Distributed Channel Access)방식과 HCCA (HCF Controlled Channel Access) 방식이 결합되어 있는 스케줄러에 실제 스케줄링이 이루어지는 PHY Queue에 가기 전 대기하는 Queue에 가상 큐를 적용하여 트레픽 특성을 고려하고, bad가 발생하는 링크로 가는 트래픽에 대해서는 임시 큐에 저장한 후에 링크가 good 상태가 되면 전송함으로써 보다 높은 QoS를 제공하며, 전체 시스템의 효율을 향상시키는 스케줄러를 제안하고자 한다.

  • The Albuginales (Oomycetes) consist of obligate biotrophic pathogens, none of which is culturable on artificial media. This group causes white blister rust disease in diverse angiosperm plants, including many economically important crops such as sunflower, horseradish, rape, radish, spinach, and wasabi. Recent advances in molecular phylogenetic tools and findings of new morphological characters have advanced our knowledge on their diversity, evolution, and systematics. This review introduces the white blister rusts and discusses recent innovations resulting from studies on Albuginales.

  • The family Trogossitidae Latreille occurs worldwide, including some Pacific islands. The family contains about 50 genera and 600 described species, and the group was recently classified by Kolibáč into three subfamilies, Lophocaterinae, Peltinae and Trogossitinae. Among the lophocaterine genera, a genus Ancyrona Reitter includes 62 species in most parts of the world except the Nearctic region, and is divided into five informal species groups by Kolibáč. In this study, the genus Ancyrona and its a single species, A. diversa (Pic), is newly reported in the Korean fauna. A diagnosis, habitus photographs, and illustrations of female diagnostic characters are provided, with a key to Palaearctic species of the genus Ancyrona.

  • Several differences are revealed in the segmentation and setation of the antennule, maxillule, maxilliped and fifth legs between three genera of the family Metridinidae, Metridia, Pleuromamma, and Gaussia. The phylogenetic relationships are cladistically analyzed on the basis of 10 morphological characters. The cladogram shows that Gaussia and Pleuromamma form a sister group, with Metridia which is the first branch to diverge within the family. The presence Of quadritheks on the male antennules of Metridia and Pleuromamma seems to be an important synapomorphy. The loss of quadritheks in Gaussia represents likely evidence of a character reversal into the ancestral condition.

  • In order to produce the bacteriolytic enzyme, bacterial strains capable of excreting a large amount of the enzyme were screened from the coastal sea water samples in Pusan. The bacterial strain SH-1, which showed the highest activity among 43 bacteriolytic enzyme producing bacteria, was finally selected for further studies. The strain SH-1 was an endospore-forming grampositive rod, and the position of spore was paracentral. These morphological characteristics assigned the isolated strain to the morphological group I classified by Gordon. The fatty acid composition of the bacterial stain was analyzed to be consisted of branched chains of iso-Cn and anteiso-Cn. Based on the percent content of the branched chain (93.85%), the isolates could be identified as a species of Bacillus. According to the experimental results of the API system (API 50CHB & API 20E) the strain was identified as Bacillus subtilis. Numerical texonomy, in which 82 major characters were examined using several species of Bacillus as the standard bacteria, indicated that the strain SH-1 showed 90% similarity to Bacillus subtilis. Thus, the isolated strain SH-1 could be identified as Bacillus subtilis.

  • This paper proposes a new set of topological features (primitives) for use with a syntactic recognizer for high-accuracy recognition of printed alphanumeric characters. The recognition is accomplished on nine character groups, where each group has different combinations of four feature points. A skeleton enhancement eliminating isolated points and smoothing irregular points is developed. The tree automata processed in parallel enables the realization of high-recognition speeds and font-type independent recognition. The proposed character recognition system is tested for alphanumeric character fonts of dot matrix printer and plotter using IBM-PC/XT.
