수중에 잠긴 접지전극주변에서 이온화에 의한 전위저감 및 에너지 방출의 평가 (Evaluation of the potential reduction and energy dispersion caused by ionization phenomena at the submerged ground rod)

  • When high surge voltage invaded into the ground rod contacted with ground water, the ionization phenomena are happened in the water. Although some researchers have surveyed the ionization phenomena in soil, they have just analyzed the variation of the ground resistance. The most important role of the ground rod is to elect human beings from potential rise and to dissipate energy to the earth safely. In this wort we presented the method evaluating the potential reduction and energy dispersion. Also we analyzed theses factors as a function of charging voltages at the water resistivity of $50\;{\Omega}{\cdot}m$ using the Matlab Program. As a result the ground rod potential was reduced to 38 kV by ionization just below breakdown voltage. The energy more than half of the total injected energy was dispersed through the grounding electrode caused due to ionization.

개폐과전압 발생시 지중송전선로 편단접지 구간에서 SVL에 미치는 과도특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on SVL Transient Characteristics by Switching Overvoltage at Single Point Bonding Section in Underground Transmission Cables)

  • This paper describes sheath voltage limiter(SVL) transient characteristics by switching overvoltage considering single point bonding in underground transmission cables. The crossbonding system is generally used for grounding methods of underground transmission system. However, the single point bonding system is used in selective area which is difficult to consist of crossbonding major section. The sheath voltage limiters are connected between joints in the single point bonding. Specially, the high overvoltage might be generated in that section as well as the aging of sheath voltage limiter might be progressed by various electrical stress including lightning overvoltage, switching overvoltage and power frequency overvoltage. Therefore, in this paper, the switching overvoltage characteristics in underground cables are firstly analysed using EMTP simulation. Then, the switching overvoltage of sheath voltage limiter is also studied in single point bonding. Finally, the reduction method of sheath voltage limiter switching overvoltage is proposed by various simulation studies including circuit breaker operating order.

Performance Evaluation of Early Streamer Emission Lightning Air Terminal

  • Studies have claimed that ESE (Early Streamer Emission) air terminals offer a vastly increased zone of protection over that of traditional lightning rods (Franklin rods) by causing the emission of an upward streamer/leader: The upward streamer/leader will propagate towards the tip of the downward leader at an early stage in the attachment process.. This paper shows the results of a performance evaluation test of a particular type of the ESE air terminal (called "ElecHippo") with a simple rod tested at the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI). The corona emission current of the ElecHippo made by Yong-Jin Enterprise Corp. has also been measured at the Occupational Safety & Health Research Institute (OSHRI). The results show that the ElecHippo meets the French standard of NFC 17-102-1995. The results also verify the ESE performance by measuring the ion emission current generated in the discharge electrode gap as a function of the capacitance and inductance of the equipped devices. Finally, we propose a new method for grounding the system to reduce the lightning damage by combining the ESE air terminal, the early discharge earth plate, the lightning strike recorder and the surge protection device.

IBS 빌딩에서의 서어지 저감을 위한 접지방안 연구 (A Study on Grounding Technology for the Reduction of Electric Surge in IBS Building)

  • According to the realization of highly information dependent society, the recent building system is developed into the concept of suitable for management of intellegent work, which is demanded to unify of IBS(Intelligent Building System), IC(information communication), OA(office automation), BA(building automation) system and computer technology. However inspite of the presence arrester, cable shielding, insulated TR, filter, earth etc., in the IBS building for the cope with several surge and noise has several problems from the wrong operation of the equipment which caused from several surge, damage of equipment, and noise etc. And the miss operation caused by wrong earth works, which must be considered at first during the building construction. In order to minimize these problems, it's necessary that various earth project are performed effectively, and bonding methods between the mutual wiring of earth system and the equipments in the building should be improved sucessively. So in this paper, we analyze present domestic conditions of the earth technology in IBS building, and propose minimization method for the various surge and noise problem, and examine and analyze through the applied works.

함정 발생 수중 전자기장 신호의 특성 및 측정 기법 (Characteristics and Measurement Method of the Underwater Electromagnetic Signature Emitted from a Naval Ship)

  • The underwater electromagnetic signatures of a naval ship are mainly generated from three sources which are the permanent and induced magnetic field in the ship's hull and other ferrous components, the cathodic current electromagnetic field established by the Impressed Current Cathodic Protection(ICCP) system or the Sacrificial Anode and the stray electromagnetic fields generated by onboard equipment. These signatures can be minimized by certain design methods or installation of signature reduction equipment. In this paper, we represented the characteristic of the underwater electromagnetic signature and the signature reduction techniques for a naval ship. Also, we measured the electromagnetic field changes emitted from the real ship using the Electric and Magnetic field Measurement System(EMMS). We found that the underwater electromagnetic signature for a naval ship can be used as input or trigger signal in a surveillance system and an influence mine.

  • 시설물이나 장비로 surge wave가 유입되는 것을 방지하기 위해서는 접지시스템의 접지저항을 수 $\Omega$ 정도로 낮추어야 하지만 시공비를 낮추기 위하여 적절한 접지저항 값을 결정하는 것이 중요한 문제이다. 본 연구에서는 접지저항 simulator를 이용하여 최적화된 경제적 접지저항(임피던스) 값을 설정하였으며 수용성 알칼리족 원소와 활성탄소를 주성분으로 하는 새로운 접지충진제를 개발하여 접지품질을 개선하기 위한 전기적 특성을 평가하였다.

  • The paper brings together several strands of debate and deliberation in which I have been involved since the early 2000s on the definition of Southeast Asia and the rationale of Southeast Asian Studies. I refer to the relationship between area studies and methodologies as a conundrum (or puzzle), though I should state from the outset that I think it is much more of a conundrum for others than for me. I have not felt the need to pose the question of whether or not area studies generates a distinctive method or set of methods and research practices, because I operate from a disciplinary perspective; though that it is not to say that the question should not be posed. Indeed, as I have earned a reputation for "revisionism" and championing disciplinary approaches rather than regional ones, it might be anticipated already the position that I take in an examination of the relationships between methodologies and the practice of "area studies" (and in this case Southeast Asian [or Asian] Studies). Nevertheless, given the recent resurgence of interest in the possibilities provided by the adoption of regional perspectives and the grounding of data gathering and analysis within specified locations in the context of globalization, the issues raised for researchers working in Southeast Asia and within the field of Southeast Asian Studies require revisiting.

전류보조전극 거리 및 주파수에 따른 접지임피던스 특성 (Characteristics for Ground Impedance according to Distance of Current Probe and Frequency)

  • 본 논문에서는 전위강하법을 이용한 전류보조전극의 거리 및 주파수에 따른 조합형 봉형 접지전극의 접지임피던스 특성을 다루고, 측정오차를 최소화하기 위한 방법을 제안하였다. 전위강하법은 전압과 전류 측정원리에 기반을 두고 측정오차는 보조전극의 위치에 의해 발생한다. 전류보조전극의 거리와 주파수에 기인한 접지임피던스 영향을 분석하기 위해 전류보조전극의 거리를 5~20[m]로 변화시키며 측정이 이루어졌고, 55~513[Hz]로 측정주파수를 변화시키며 특성을 분석하였다. 연구결과는 접지시스템에서 접지임피던스를 측정할 경우에 전류보조전극의 위치와 측정주파수를 결정하는데 활용될 수 있다.

해상 상태 및 선저여유수심을 고려한 연안 내 선박의 최적 항로 결정 (Determination of Optimal Ship Route in Coastal Sea Considering Sea State and Under Keel Clearance)

  • Ship route planning is to find a route to minimize voyage time and/or fuel consumption in a given sea state. Unlike previous studies, this study proposes an optimization method for the route planning to avoid the grounding risk near the coast. The route waypoints were searched using A* algorithm, and the route simplification was performed to remove redundant waypoints using Douglas-Peucker algorithm. The optimization was performed to minimize fuel consumption by setting the optimization design parameters to the engine rpm. The sea state factors such as wind, wave, and current are also considered for route planning. We propose the constraint to avoid ground risk by using under keel clearance obtained from electoronic navigational chart. The proposed method was applied to find the optimal route between Mokpo and Jeju. The result showed that the proposed method suggests the optimal route that minimizes fuel consumption.

지능형 서비스 로봇을 위한 온톨로지 기반의 동적 상황 관리 및 시-공간 추론 (Ontology-Based Dynamic Context Management and Spatio-Temporal Reasoning for Intelligent Service Robots)

  • 일상생활 환경 속에서 자율적으로 동작하는 서비스 로봇에게 가장 필수적인 능력 중 하나가 동적으로 변화하는 주변 환경에 대한 올바른 상황 인식과 이해 능력이다. 다양한 센서 데이터 스트림들로 부터 신속히 의사 결정에 필요한 고수준의 상황 지식을 생성해내기 위해서는, 멀티 모달 센서 데이터의 융합, 불확실성 처리, 기호 지식의 실체화, 시간 의존성과 가변성 처리, 실시간성을 만족할 수 있는 시-공간 추론 등 많은 문제들이 해결되어야 한다. 이와 같은 문제들을 고려하여, 본 논문에서는 지능형 서비스 로봇을 위한 효과적인 동적 상황 관리 및 시-공간 추론 방법을 제시한다. 본 논문에서는 상황 지식 관리와 추론의 효율성을 극대화하기 위해, 저수준의 상황 지식은 센서 및 인식 데이터가 입력될 때마다 실시간적으로 생성되지만, 반면에 고수준의 상황 지식은 의사 결정 모듈에서 요구가 있을 때만 후향 시-공간 추론을 통해 유도되도록 알고리즘을 설계하였다. Kinect 시각 센서 기반의 Turtlebot를 이용한 실험을 통해, 제안한 방법에 기초한 동적 상황 관리 및 추론 시스템의 높은 효율성을 확인할 수 있었다.
