  • KODAS is made up of the Central Control System(CCS) as four Vax workstations linked up with LAN networks, six Substation Communication Control Units(SCCU) installed in substation to transfer data, 125 Feeder Remote Units(FRU) located at the lower position of automated switch to provide the information of Fault Indicator(FI) and three kinds of automated switches to have remote control functions such as SF6 gas feeder automation switch, recloser and gas insulated pad mountes switchgear for under ground line. This paper explains the functions and characteristics in detail about each devices mentioned above.

  • 고저항지락사고시 선로의 지락후비보효용인 지락거리계전기 및 변압기 후비보호용 방향지락과 전류계전기의 비협조 문제로 인하여 광범위한 정전이 유발될수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이에 대한 대책으로 고저항지락보호용 과전류계전기의 도입과 적용방안에 대하여 제안한다.

A Simulator for Potential Distribution Analysis

  • This paper proposes a reduced-scale simulator that can replace numerical analytic methods for the estimation of potential distribution caused by ground faults in various grounding systems. The simulator consists of a hemispherical electrolytic tank, a three-dimensional potential probe, a grounding electrode, and a data acquisition module. The potential distribution is measured using a potentiometer with a position-tracing function when a test current flows to the grounding electrode. Using the simulator, we could clearly analyze the potential distribution for a reduced- scale model by one-eightieth of the buried depth and length of the grounding rod and grounding grid. Once both the shape of the grounding electrode and the fault current are known, the actual potential distribution can be estimated.

  • Most of faults occurred in transmission lines are single-phase to ground faults and transient faults. Single-phase auto reclosing is an appropriate scheme to maintain the system stability and restore the system effectively when those faults are occurred. In single-phase auto reclosing scheme, the secondary arc is generated after faulted phase is tripped to eliminate the fault and it is sustained by the capacitive and inductive coupling to the healthy phases. It is important to reclose the faulted phase after fully extinction of secondary arc because of the damage applied to system. Therefore, it is necessary to research on the detection of secondary arc extinction to ensure high success rate of reclosing. In this step, firstly, the accurate modelling of secondary arc should be performed. In this paper, the modelling of secondary arc is performed by using EMTP-RV and the simulation results show that the implemented model is correct and effective.

  • 절연물의 열화가 진행되면 최초로 1선 지락사고가 발생할 가능성이 많고 1선 지락사고는 2선 지락 및 단락사고로 파급되어 설비에 심각한 손상으로 이어지게 된다. 따라서, 1선지 락 사고에 대한 완전한 보호방식의 적용은 설비 신뢰성 증대라는 측면에서 매우 중요한 사항이라고 판단된다. 이에 시화호조력 발전소에 설치될 수차발전기는 고정자권선의 지락사고에 대한 100%보호방식을 적용하였으며 이 설계사례를 토대로 실제적으로 적용가능한 발전기 고정자권선의 지락보호증대방식을 공유코자 한다.

  • 전력계통의 고장계산에는 상호 결합된 삼상회로를 결합이 없는 단상회로 3개, 즉 영상, 정상, 역상의 대칭요소로 변환하여 해석하는 대칭좌표법이 널리 사용되고 있다. PSS/E는 국내 전력회사에서 고장 계산을 위해 널리 사용되어온 상용 프로그램이며, 고장계산 결과는 차단기 등 각종 기기의 정격의 결정 등에 이용된다. 특수한 경우에 지락사고 해석시 과도한 안전여유를 고려하는 것이 필요한 경우가 있다. 본 논문에서는 송전선로 지락시 등가 전원단 용량이 임의로 증가했을 때에 송전선로 중간의 임의 지점의 지락고장전류를 계산하는 수식을 유도하였으며, PSS/E 계산값과의 비교를 통해 계산방법의 신뢰성을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 불평형 계통 전압환경에서 모듈형 멀티레벨 컨버터 기반의 고압 직류 송전시스템(MMC-HVDC, Modular Multilevel Converter - High Voltage Direct current)의 순환전류 제어를 위해 PI(Proportional Integral), PR(Proportional resonant), Deadbeat 제어를 적용하여 각 제어기 성능을 비교 검증 한다. 단상 지락 사고 (Single Line to Ground fault) 조건에서 순환 전류 제어 알고리즘을 검토하고, 발생되는 순환전류의 크기와 고조파 양상을 PSIM을 이용하여 시뮬레이션 검증을 하였다.

  • This paper studies on the development of an electric fire prevention system with the detection and alarm in case of parallel arc fault occurrence in low voltage distribution lines. The proposed detector has the characteristics of high speed operation responsibility and superior system reliability from composition using a large number of semiconductor devices. The line voltage is always feedback, and when an arc or a spark occurs, these are detected by the microcomputer. In addition, we design and develop algorithms using high speed and high precision microcomputer. A new conceptual control technique is adopted that RCD cuts-off by forming a forced short circuit between the phase voltage and ground in the event of an electrical accident. Some experimental tests of the proposed system also confirm practicality and the validity of the analytical results.

  • Generally, satellites continuously monitor that its major functions are working properly and their hardware are in a good status using several SOH data. In case a fault that is not recognized as a temporal problem or a failure that can be considered to propagate its damage to the other parts are detected, fault management logic is performed automatically without any contact of ground station. In this paper, attitude error detection using sun sensors on a rotating solar array is proposed. Attitude error can be detected by comparing the offset angle between the actual data computed from the sun sensor and the data predicted from the orbit and ephemeris information for the two types of solar array operation method. During the eclipse, the output of attitude error detection method becomes zero because the sun sensor output cannot be provided. Finally, the proposed method is analyzed through the data processing using on-orbit data.

  • The discontinuity of rock is one of important elements that have impact on the dynamic movement of rock. A slope made of gneiss has complicated geological structure because of the gneiss forming process through metamorphism covering wide range and the anisotropic structure with foliation. In this study, before cutting slope, the rock of slope had been found as a good quality by the boring test. But during construction tension cracks had occurred in the section with 170m length during large-scale excavation work with depth more than 20m. Ground surface geological investigation, boring exploration, resistivity logging and borehole image processing had been done to find the causes of the tension crack. It was possible to estimate the scale of fault existing in large area through resistivity logging and geological investigation. Large scale slickenside and fault clay had been found as the result of comprehensive analysis.
