서울시내 동절기 상록성 지피식물식재 현황에 관한 조사연구 (Studies on the Present Status of Evergreen Ground-Cover Plants in Winter of Seoul)

  • The current status of evergreen ground-cover plants as of in the winter months in 50 places selected at random in Seoul was assessed to see how they are at the present, and the following matters of evergreen ground-cover plants were observed to be common aspect of them today during the year of 1989 and 1990 and in winter of Seoul. 1. Ground-cover area in 50 different places of Seoul was 36% of the green area, and the evergreen ground-cover area was 3% of total ground-cover area. As the result, most of ground cover plants founded to be zoysia grasses. 2. Total number of evergreen ground-cover plants species was 24, and the species most frequently found were Juniperus chinensis and horizontalis, Buxus koreana, Liriope platyphylla var. nana. Taxus cuspidats, Rhododendron lateritium, Pleioblastus pygmaea, Poa pratensis in that order of the number of plasces assessed, and sere Poa pratensis, Agrostis tennuis, Liriope platyphylla, Buxus koreana, Juniperus chinensis and horizontalis, Taxus cuspidata. var. nana, Rhododendron lateritium in the order of area planted. 3. Woody plants included 9 species and occupied 16% in the area, also introduced plants included 14 species and occupied 79% in the area. As introduced evergreen grasses occupied, almost of evergreen ground-cover herbs, planting of evergreen ground-cover herbs and native plants are thought to be desirable. 4. Flowering plants of 16 species were found to be 16% of the total evergreen ground-cover area. 5. The ratio of topographical difference, such as plain versus slope for planting site, was 82 and 18% respectively, and sunny versus shady and intermediate places were 72, 15 and 13% respectively. 6. Although appearance of plants was generally fair, poor and drying plants were assessed 33% for the number of places planted, and 11% for the area. It seems to be necessary to manage those plants to their growth characteristics, and desiable to introduce various plant species adaptable to the winter climate of Seoul and grow for the winter landscaping purpose. 7. The poor use and lack of evergreen ground-cover plants are regarded to be deficient in the valus and reconization of them, particularly in the landscaping works. It is therefore considered important to bring out pertinent measures against these inadequate situations.

Trend of global land cover mapping and global land cover ground truth database

  • There are many global/continental or large area land cover mapping projects because land cover is one of key parameters in environmental studies. Though ground truth collection is a important and difficult task in land cover mapping, it is usually performed independently in each project without any cooperation between them. This is the background of the development of Global Land Cover Ground Truth (GLCGT) database by the cooperation of many projects and researchers. The developed GLCGT database will be used freely by any researcher. This cooperative and common development of GLCGT database will realize reliable and continuously improved land cover ground truth data. It also eliminates duplicated efforts of ground truth collection among projects.

  • Land cover map of 30 arc-second grid by NOAA AVHRR data for the whole Asia was produced by the authors as the project of the Asian Association on Remote Sensing(AARS). Land cover change monitoring of continental scale by satellite data needs preprocessing to remove undesirable factors due to noises, atmosphere, or the effect by solar zenith angle. The paper describes the method to remove these factors. The most important thing for better mapping/monitoring in the future is the accumulation of ground truth data by many land cover related researchers. The project of the development of Global Land Cover Ground Truth Database(GLCGT-DB) is proposed.

  • Usually, Steel pipe grouting method or cut and cover method has been applied to tunnel with very shallow overburden or it is situated in valley. However, in case of lack of overburden height to reinforcement tunnel crown which is very difficult to construction. Also, application of cut and cover method that do not consider surrounding site condition causes popular enmity generation and environmental damage. It is the best alternative method that reduces the amount of excavated soil and excavate tunnel under ground to solve these problems. The tunneling method using cover structure which is to prevent a tunnel from collapse because this method can be reduce excavation area and construct tunnel under ground after set a cover structure and backfill ground. In this study, to know more effective structure type, comparative analysis was performed to behavior characters of slab and arch type construction that can be used to cover structure. Also a 2D and 3D numerical analysis have been performed to verify the stability of ground during excavation. 라이닝-지반 수리상호작용이 해저터널에 미치는 영향 (Effect of hydraulic lining-ground interaction on subsea tunnels)

  • 라이닝 작용수압과 유입량은 지하수 수위 아래 혹은 하 해저터널 설계시 중요하게 고려되어야할 수리요소이다. 이 요소들은 수심, 심도, 수리경계조건의 영향을 받는다. 본 논문에서는 각 설계요소가 라이닝하중과 유입량에 미치는 영향을 수치해석적 도구를 이용하여 살펴보았다. 수심영향해석은 심도 30 m에 건설된 마제형 터널에 대하여 수심과 라이닝/지반 상대투수계수 비를 다양하게 변화시켜 조사하였고, 심도영향 해석은 수심 60 m의 터널에 대하여 심도 및 라이닝/지반 상대투수계수 비를 변화시켜 해석하였다. 해석결과 수리경계조건과 상관없이 수심 및 심도가 증가함에 따라 지반하중이 증가하였다. 이는 배수터널은 침투력의 영향으로, 비배수 터널은 정수압의 영향으로 수두가 증가함에 따라 지반하중이 증가함을 보여준 것이다. 수심, 심도의 증가에 따라 유입량은 선형적으로 증가하였으며, 라이닝/지반 상대투수계수비와 유입량관계는 펼쳐진 S자 곡선(stretched S-curve)형태로 나타남을 확인하였다.

유기농 사과과원에서 초생재배를 위한 자생지피식물의 선발 (Selection of Native Ground Cover Plants for Sod Culture in an Organic Apple Orchard)

  • 유기농 사과과원에서 초생재배를 위해 활용할 수 있는 자생지피식물 선정을 위하여 세 가지 자생식물이 잡초의 발생 및 과실의 특성과 토양의 화학성 변화에 미치는 영향에 대해서 조사하였다. 지피식물의 생육은 30 ㎝ (L) × 30 ㎝ (W) × 100 ㎝ (H) 밀도에서 측정되었으며, 조사 결과 긴병꽃풀의 초장과 건물중이 다른 식물체들에 비해서 큰 것으로 조사되었다. 토양 피복율이 낮았던 섬백리향과 좀씀바귀에서의 잡초 발생빈도와 발생량은 대조구와 거의 유사하였던 반면, 토양 피복율이 높았던 긴병꽃풀 처리구의 경우 대조구와 비교하여 잡초의 발생억제 효과가 큰 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 긴병꽃풀의 개화기는 ‘쓰가루’ 사과 품종의 개화시기 일치하여 방화곤충의 유인을 증가시켰으며, 이에 따라 착과율의 증대 효과도 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 실험에서 지피식물의 피복에 따른 나무의 생육과 과일의 특성의 차이는 나타나지 않았으나, 토양의 화학성분은 대조구에 비해 지피식물 처리구에서 유기물 함량과 인산 함량이 다소 높게 나타나는 것으로 분석되었다. 시험결과 전반적으로 긴병꽃풀은 토양을 완전히 피복함으로써 잡초의 발생을 감소시켰고, 토양 화학성도 개선하여 사과 재배농가에 초생재배용 피복식물로서 활용 가능성이 큰 것으로 조사되었다.

사과원 피복 초생의 개화가 화분매개자 네트워크와 사과 생산에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Blooming in Ground Cover on the Pollinator Network and Fruit Production in Apple Orchards)

  • 화분매개는 속씨식물 번식에 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 화분매개 곤충은 식물 다양성과 밀접한 관계를 가지며, 농작물 생산성 향상에 기여한다. 사과원 내 식물 다양성은 과수와 주변부, 그리고 하부 식생에 의해 결정된다. 본 연구는 사과꽃 개화기에 서양민들레 등 초생이 피복된 사과원과 초생이 없는 과수원에서 화분매개자의 다양성과 네트워크, 그리고 결실률과 생산된 과실의 크기 차이를 분석하였다. 경북 안동시 길안면 소재 각 5개의 사과원에서 2020년 4월 사과 개화기에 이루어졌다. 사과와 같은 시기 개화하는 초생은 민들레가 우점이었다. 두 사과원 유형에 따른 꿀벌수는 통계적으로 차이가 없었으나, 전체 풍부도 및 검정파리류와 뒤영벌류의 풍부도는 초생 피복 사과원에서 높았다. 민들레 피복 사과원에서 화분매개자 16 그룹과 801개 상호작용이, 초생 제거 사과원에서는 화분매개자 14개 그룹과 589개 식물-화분매개자 상호작용이 확인되었다. 또한, 초생 피복 사과원의 수확기 사과 크기가 더 컸다. 본 연구의 결과는 서양민들레 등 초생 피복은 봄철 화분매개자의 다양도를 증가시킬 수 있고, 수확기 과수의 크기에 긍적적 영향을 줄 수 있으며, 지속 가능한 사과원 경관관리를 위한 초생재배의 중요성을 확인시켜 주었다.

도시 토지피복별 불투수면적률과 녹지면적률에 따른 지표면 일최고온도 변화량 산정방법 (Development of calculating daily maximum ground surface temperature depending on fluctuations of impermeable and green area ratio by urban land cover types)

  • Heatwaves are one of the most common phenomena originating from changes in the urban thermal environment. They are caused mainly by the evapotranspiration decrease of surface impermeable areas from increases in temperature and reflected heat, leading to a dry urban environment that can deteriorate aspects of everyday life. This study aimed to calculate daily maximum ground surface temperature affecting heatwaves, to quantify the effects of urban thermal environment control through water cycle restoration while validating its feasibility. The maximum surface temperature regression equation according to the impermeable area ratios of urban land cover types was derived. The estimated values from daily maximum ground surface temperature regression equation were compared with actual measured values to validate the calculation method's feasibility. The land cover classification and derivation of specific parameters were conducted by classifying land cover into buildings, roads, rivers, and lands. Detailed parameters were classified by the river area ratio, land impermeable area ratio, and green area ratio of each land-cover type, with the exception of the rivers, to derive the maximum surface temperature regression equation of each land cover type. The regression equation feasibility assessment showed that the estimated maximum surface temperature values were within the level of significance. The maximum surface temperature decreased by 0.0450℃ when the green area ratio increased by 1% and increased by 0.0321℃ when the impermeable area ratio increased by 1%. It was determined that the surface reduction effect through increases in the green area ratio was 29% higher than the increasing effect of surface temperature due to the impermeable land ratio.

Effects of PCB Ground Plane and Case on Internal WLAN Patch Antenna

  • We demonstrate that the effect of the PCB ground length and the cover is important in the performance of 2.4 GHz patch antennas. The Center frequency in the return loss shifts as much as 0.5 GHz, when the length of the PCB ground increases from 30 to 85 mm. The position of 10-dB bandwidth accordingly shifts to lower frequency region. Finally, the resonance at 2.4 GHz becomes stronger when the top cover exists. The radiation pattern of the patch antenna is also strongly affected by the ground structure and the existence of the top cover. In both the return loss and the radiation pattern, 3-dimensional simulations are shown to be an efficient tool.

저압 지중함에서 감전사고 방지를 위한 대책연구 (Countermeasures for Preventing Electric Shock in Low-Voltage Handhole)

  • This paper describes the countermeasures for preventing the electric shock which can be occurred in the low-voltage handhole underwater. Low-voltage handholes were designed and made for the test in the testing field. Which were installed 4 cases. a metal handhole cover was employed in case 1; FRP(Fiber glass Reinforced Plastic) handhole cover in case 2; an insulated rubber was put on the joint of the cables in case 3; the exposed conductors(cover, frame etc) were commoned and grounded in case 4. Thus, an ground potential near the low-voltage handhole was measured and evaluated quantitatively for the 4 cases. The measured results show that the potential of case 2.3 were lower than that of case 1 because the insulated rubber and the FRP cover prevented direct contact to the fault point. The case 4 is the lowest among the 4 cases because the common and grounding helps the fault current release into the ground, which makes the ground potential rise lower. As a result, although each case has the defects, these ways can effectively lower the electric shock risk in the low-voltage handhole.
