  • Sustained economic development around the world is accelerating resource depletion. Research and development of secondary batteries that can replace them is also being actively conducted. Secondary batteries are emerging as a key technology for carbon neutrality. The core of an electric vehicle is the battery (secondary battery). Therefore, in this study, the temperature change by the heat source of the hammer and the rotational speed (rpm) of the abrasive disc of the Classifier Separator Mill (CSM) was repeatedly calculated and analyzed using the heat flow simulation STAR-CCM+. As the rotational speed (rpm) of the abrasive disk increases, the convergence condition of the iteration increases. Under the condition that the inlet speed of the Classifier Separator Mill (CSM) and the heat source value of the disc hammer are the same, the disc rotation speed (rpm) and the hammer temperature are inversely proportional. As the rotational speed (rpm) of the disc increases, the hammer temperature decreases. However, since the wear rate of the secondary battery material increases due to the strong impact of the crushing rotational force, it is determined that an appropriate rpm setting is necessary. In CSM (Classifier Separator Mill), it is judged that the flow rate difference is not significantly different in the direction of the pressure outlet (Outlet 1) right above the classifier wheel with the fastest flow rate. Because the disc and hammer attachment technology is adhesive, the attachment point may deform when the temperature of the hammer rises. Therefore, it is considered necessary to develop high-performance adhesives and other adhesive technologies.

  • This study was carried to develop the chip-harvester and to analysis the operation productivity and cost for effective collection and forwarding of forest biomass. Main target specification of chip-harvester is speed of 8km/h, maximum climbing capacity of $30^{\circ}$ and maximum load capability of 2000 kg. Body structure is articulate type to reduce turning radius. Driving equipment is six-wheel drive, and a rear wheel is tandem bogie type to increase grip force. As a result of the driving test about developed chip-harvester, driving speed was 6.9 km/hr and 8.1 km/hr in ${\pm}10%$ slope with loaded and 7.3 km/hr and 7.9 km/hr in ${\pm}10%$ slope without load. As a result of the operation productivity and cost, operation productivity of grinding and forwarding was approximately $10m^3$ per day, and operation cost was 393,126 won per day.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study and analyze the improvement method for the failure examples including the vehicle brake system in actual field. It was verified that the indicator plate of pad wear scratched the brake disk because of wearing after displacement of non- identification parts pad. The caliper of other vehicle was installed with brake system verified the phenomenon produced groove in center point because of one side wear when the pad was not fully contacted with the rub disk by other action surface pressure and pad action condition. It verified that the crack phenomenon fatigue was produced by brake thermal deformation because of decreasing the thickness by grinding to modify the non-uniformed wear of brake disk. It verified that the friction sound was produced by the friction phenomenon because of non-uniformed contact of lining and an alien substance with inner of the drum and lining braking by crack phenomenon with brake drum surface.

  • During the last decade there have been many studies on the new ceramics especially engineering ceramics. Sintered silicon carbide is one of the main materials in engineering ceramics. This study shows the effects of surface treatment and microstructure especially the abnormal grain growth on the strength of sintered SiC. Surface of sintered SiC and treated with 400, 800 and 1200 grit diamond wheel. Grain growth is introduced by increasing the sintering times at 205$0^{\circ}C$. The $\beta$longrightarrow$\alpha$ transformation occurs during the sintering of $\beta$-starting materials and is often accompanied by abnormal grain growth. The overall strength distribution are estimated using the Weibull statistics. The results show that the strength of sintered SiC is limited by extrinsic surface flaws in normal-sintered specimens. And it is sound that the finer the surface finishing and the grain size the higher the strength results. But the strength of abnormal sintering specimens is limited by the abnormally-grown large tabular grains. The Weibull modulus increases with the decreasing grain size and the decreasing grit size of grinding.

  • In this research, we describe teaching based sweeping control for grinder robot has been proposed as a system which is suitable to work utilizing pressure sensitive alternative to human. Teaching method is used for grinder robots operations because of their position accuracy, path accuracy, and machining reaction force. A grinder robot for two-dimensional iron plate was developed on the basis of an force sensor based teaching method. An automatic-path-generation method and experimental results using specific points was adopted to reduce the number of teaching points and time. And also, in order to determine the proper machining conditions, various machining conditions such as grinder-wheel rotation speed and robot moving speed, were evaluated.
