현대건축 표면에 적용된 디지털미디어의 표현 특성 연구 - 설치미술적 특징에 기초한 분석 - (A Study on the characteristics of digital-media application on surface - An analysis based upon the related characteristics of installation art -)

  • Surface has been an important issue in contemporary architecture. That originates in structural freedom of surface since the end of modern architecture and the current stream of surface becoming an identity of building. Development of digital-media has brought a great change to our society in general. Digital-media is characterized by use of digital-information and interactive communication. Digital-media has been applied on surface in contemporary architecture lately. It is a purpose of the study to analyze the characteristics of digital-media application on surface based on the related characteristics of installation art. The categories and the contents for the frame of case analysis were arranged through document research. The foreign and domestic cases of digital-media application were analyzed based on the frame of analysis. Digital-media, which is installed on surface, is interacted with human and surroundings. It enhances emotional communication between human and architecture. Surface is not any more a simple fixture but an interactive creature. It makes surface more dynamically and fluidly that the course of light and human movement affect on digital-media. Surface itself is also turned into an object of art. It reflects the interweaving characteristics between contemporary architecture and installation art. It was analyzed through the study that emotional level of people is the important issue shared in digital-media application on surface and installation art. The complementary relationship between surface of contemporary architecture and installation art can be manipulated by the application of digital-media on surface.

  • Today, great percentage of apparel fabrics comprise knit products. A few apparel items are almost exclusively made from knit products including sweaters, T-shirts, lingerie, and hosiery. In weft knits, intermeshing yarn traverses the fabric crosswise. The production rate of knitting machines is about four times higher than that of conventional looms iin proportion to the amount of fabric produced per unit time. Knit apparels fabrics are noted for freedom of body movement, easy-care, resilience, soft draping and quality. The appearance of fabrics is of prime importance along with tactile features such as smoothness, crispness, stiffness when we deal with the handling evaluation of the textiles. In practice, the quality and performance of fabrics judged by sighted evaluators, and it is perhaps logical, in attempting to establish an effective fabric objective measurement system. It is worthwhile to make objective measurement that correlate well with subjective evaluations made by sight and touch together. However, it often imposes difficulties to effectively measure and analyze the appearance or optical properties of the textile surface features. In this study, an attempt is made to provide a preliminary approach to the analysis of the gloss property, which is one of the optical properties of fabrics. The specimens range from 70/24 nylon 6 filament yarn knit fabric to 70/68 nylon 6 filament yarn knit fabric, the latter being finer. A few three-dimensional models based on Peirce's model of knit stitch have been proposed and material properties were given to calculate the properties. Goniophotometric measurements of the specimens were also carried out.

A new study in designing MTMDs in SDOF and MDOF systems based on the spectral analysis method

  • This study aims to optimize, design, and predict the MTMDs performance in SDOF systems using spectral analysis, and then apply their results to MDOF structures. Given the importance of spectral analysis in the design of new engineering structures, achieving a method for designing TMDs based on this theory can be of great importance for structural designers. In this study, several convenient combinations of MTMDs in an SDOF system are first considered to minimize the maximum displacement. For calculating the frequency ratios of dampers, an innovative technique is adopted in which the values of different modal responses obtained from the spectral analysis are approached together. This procedure is done using a harmony search (HS) algorithm. Also, using the random vibration theory, the damping ratio of the dampers is obtained. Then, an equation is presented for predicting the performance of MTMDs. For evaluating this equation, three structures with different stories are designed. Some of the presented combinations of dampers are added to them. The time history analyses are employed to analyze the structures under 30 different accelerograms. The findings indicated that the proposed equation could efficiently predict the performance of the MTMDs. Furthermore, four different patterns of damper distribution along the height of the structures are defined. The effect of them on the maximum deformation of the structures in time history analyses is discussed, and an equation is presented to estimate this effect. The results indicated that the average and maximum error percentages of the proposed equations are about three and seven percent, respectively, compared to the time history analyses results, which are negligible values.

  • 기술혁신에는 본질적인 어려움이 따르는데, 이는 상당부분 기술이 지닌 불확실성에 기인한다. 따라서 혁신과정에서 불확실성에 따른 위험을 감소시키기 위한 예측 방법론은 정량적 분야와 정성적 분야 모두에서 제시되어 왔다. 한편 최근 빅 데이터와 인공지능에 큰 관심이 이어지며 특히 알파고의 알고리즘 중 하나인 딥 러닝이 뛰어난 성능을 보이고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 혁신성과 예측에 있어 딥 러닝을 이용한 방법론을 접목하여 연구를 진행하였다. 모델 구축 및 학습에 있어 KIS 2016 데이터를 이용하였으며, 투입 요인으로는 정보 원천의 사용도와 혁신 목적을 사용하였고 산출 요인으로는 혁신 성과 지표를 구성하여 사용하였다. 분석 결과 선행 연구들에 비해 예측의 정확도가 향상되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 학습이 진행됨에 따라 예측의 자유도 역시 향상됨을 확인하였다.

장 폴 고티에 무용의상의 조형성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Aesthetic Characteristics of the Dance Costume of Jean Paul Gaultier)

  • Fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier incorporated his own boundless and unique artistic Into his design of dance costumes, presenting an unobstructed imaginary world that was filled with freedom, which is no less than one would expect from the one-time enfant t${\'{e}}$rrible of Paris fashion. This creativity of Gaultier was made possible only through the fantastic partnership he formed with the French modern dancer, R${\'{e}}$gine Chopinot. Gaultier and Chopinot shared a deep-rooted sympathy that enabled their own artistic worlds to fully mingle and cross over, resulting in a doubled synergy of their talent and their fame. This study analyzed 11 dancing costumes created through the collaborated efforts of those two enfants t${\'{e}}$rribles, one from the fashion industry and the other from the world of dance. The following are the results of my analysis. Gaultier's dance costumes served as a artistic venue for experimenting with a number of creative inspirations lurking in his mind, which were sometimes expressed in pr${\^{e}}$t-${\`{a}}$-porter collections. Instead of the decorative and expressive features of conventional dance costumes, his was the revival of the dancer's persona as a human being, ablaze with individuality and uniqueness. He pointed out that there is no good in the distorted turturro's fixed point of view, and the great joy of an opposing way of thinking that overturned the established. Leotard material was used as a second skin by transforming it into various styles and delivering his message. In addition, obscene and sexual expressions were delivered in a direct narrative. His eccentric ideas provided entertainment while showing his oppositional way of thinking. In the dance, the effect of the costumes was doubled by the use of cumbersome and exaggerated accessories, which is generally forbidden in modern dance.

1930년대 의상 실루엣이 직물의 꽃문양 디자인에 미치는 영향 (Influence of 1930s Western Women's Apparel Silhouette on the Flower Textile Pattern)

  • This study focuses on looking at the influence of silhouette in the 1930s on fabric pattern design by comprehending how differently flower-pattern design were found according to clothing silhouette. The period scope of research was limited to 1930s, and the research object was set as the flower patterns seen in the designer's high-fashion and the women's daily apparel as well as the clothes for sports and leisure activities. Based on the above research scope, the researcher investigated the clothing silhouette and the textile patterns in 1930s by reviewing the literature about domestic and foreign books, research papers, domestic and foreign fashion magazines, information on the Internet. A glance at the women's clothing in the 1930s reveals that they emphasized something inactive, elegant, feminine and that great popularity was given to feminine silhouette that closely fitted the body and long and slim, as skirts became longer and longer. Like this, silhouette refused traditional methods in the technique of expressing flower patterns that were on-trend in that period, pursued the freedom of line and form, used shadowing technique by means of free pens and brushes and the effect of watercolors. It also arranged in a semitransparent way and painted contours alone, too. Flower patterns fell into two categories: amorphous abstract patterns and standardized abstract patterns. The patterns expressed themselves, divided into small-scale irregular patterns and abstract geometric patterns that filled the entire textile.

스토킹 처벌규정 도입의 필요성에 대한 고찰 (A Study on the need of the Implementation for Criminal Penalty of Stalking)

  • 스토킹은 최근 사회의 변화와 정보통신기술의 발달에 따라 더욱 다양화되고 수법이 발전하고 있으나 스토킹이 중한 범죄로 이어지기 전에 예방적으로 대처할 수 있는 현행 법률이 거의 없어 초기 대응이 어렵다. 우리나라의 스토킹 규제 관련 법안은 1999년 발의된 이후 제18대 국회까지 4개의 법안이 발의되었으나 입법화되지 못하였고, 제19대 국회에서도 2개의 법안이 발의되어 있는 상황이다. 스토킹은 피해자의 정신적, 신체적 자유의 영역을 침해하는 상습적이고 고의적인 범죄이다. 미국, 영국, 독일, 일본 등 선진국에서 스토킹 규제 관련 법률을 마련하여 적절한 대처를 하고 있는 것처럼 우리나라도 스토킹 행위에 대한 효과적 대응과 피해자의 보호를 위해 관련 법률의 도입이 요청된다.

Carpentier-Edwards 판막의 장기 술후성적 (Long-term Results of the Carpentier-Edwards Porcine Valve)

  • The Carpentier-Edwards porcine xenograft valve was used in 21 patients at Seoul National University Hospital during the period between 1977 and 1979. Twenty-four Carpentier-Edwards valves were implanted along with 2 others. Three patients died within 30 days of operation, an operative mortality rate of 14.3%. Eighteen early survivors were followed up for a total 67.5 patient-years [mean, 45.0$\pm$32.0 months]. There were 2 late deaths with a linealized late mortality rate of 2.96%/patient-year; one died from cerebral bleeding [1.48% bleeding/patient-year] and the other from prosthetic valve endocarditis [1, 48% endocarditis/patient-year]. There was no case of thromboembolism. Two patients developed mitral regurgitation [2.96% failure/patient-year]. Symptomatic improvement was excellent. The actuarial survival rate and the probability of freedom from overall valve failure were 75.3$\pm$9.6% and 80.7$\pm$12.9% at 9 years after surgery respectively. During the period from October, 1968, through June, 1985, 1, 190 substitute heart valves were used in a total of 967 patients at Seoul National University Hospital; of which, 90.9% were either porcine aortic or bovine pericardial xenograft valves. For the evaluation of the xenograft tissue valves, the consecutive patients with lonescu-Shiley valve in the mitral, aortic and both positions, Angell-Shiley valve and Carpentier-Edwards valve were recently studied on the clinical ground. They were 531 patients, and 643 xenograft valves were used. The operative mortality rate was 6.97% and a linealized late mortality rate 2.94%/patient-year. A total of 490 early survivors were followed up for 917.6 patient-years [mean, 22.5 months], and 70% of patients completed the follow-up. The linealized incidences of complications were: 2.29% emboli/patient-year, 1.98% bleeding/patient-year, 1.20% endocarditis/patient-year, and 3.49% failure/patient-year. These clinical resutls are fully comparable with those in the major reports. The durability of the glutaraldehydepreserved xenograft heart valves remains as a great concern and a continuing debate, expecially for the group of patients in the pediatric age. The need of more durable material for the improved tissue valves was also discussed.

  • Nietzsche in the early 20th century, many Western thought came to China pushed the time, who want to reform the Chinese young intellectuals was a great welcome. However Guo Mo ruo particular aspect of the acceptance of Nietzsche, whereas Nietzsche regarded as an extreme pessimist history, and his extreme caution and idealistic form of individualism was often criticized. 모바일 아케이드 게임의 일일 퀘스트 디자인 연구 -플레이어의 성향과 동기를 중심으로- (Daily Quest Design for Mobile Arcade Games -The Effect of Player's Tendency on Motivation-)

  • 최근에 서비스되는 모바일 게임들은 대부분 일일 퀘스트 시스템을 갖고 있다. 일일 퀘스트는 매일마다 반복적으로 수행할 수 있는 과제와 적절한 보상을 제공하여, 플레이어에게 게임의 플레이 방향을 알려주면서 접속을 유도할 수 있는 훌륭한 장치이다. 그러나 비슷한 과제의 반복적인 수행은 자칫하면 지루해질 수 있어 플레이어들의 동기부여를 고려한 일일 퀘스트에 대한 연구는 게임 경험 향상에 중요한 주제이다. 본 연구는 일일 퀘스트에 대한 학술적 논의가 매우 부족함에 대한 인식을 기반으로, 현재 서비스 중인 모바일 게임의 일일 퀘스트 유형을 정리하고, 플레이어의 성향에 따라 어떤 일일 퀘스트 유형을 선호하는지, 어떤 유형에서 동기를 더욱 향상시킬 수 있는 지를 분석하였다. 그 결과로 다음 세 가지를 도출해 내었다. 첫째, 일일 퀘스트를 클리어할 때마다 단계적으로 추가 보상을 제공하여 플레이어들의 동기를 향상시킬 수 있다. 둘째, 플레이 성향에 따라 선호하는 일일 퀘스트의 유형이 다를 수 있으며, 자율성을 중요하게 생각하는 플레이어들은 자신이 직접 퀘스트를 선택할 수 있는 기회를 통해 동기를 향상시킬 수 있다. 마지막으로, 숙련으로부터 더욱 동기 부여를 받는 성향의 플레이어들은 퀘스트를 모두 완료했다는 피드백으로 동기를 향상시킬 수 있다.
