사이즈 적합성과 효율성이 향상된 야구 다리보호대 개발을 위한 그레이딩 편차 선정 (Selection of Grading Deviations to Develop Improved Baseball Leg Guards for Size Suitability and Efficiency)

  • Baseball is a life sport that gives vitality to people. However, currently available leg guards do not have a variety of sizes and it is very difficult to purchase a leg guard that is suitable for the size of a specific consumer. Therefore, this study investigated the size system of a leg guard sold in the market and suggested a grading deviation suitable for the legs of Korean males. The results of the study were as follows. First, most brands were sold only in three size systems as children's, teenagers, and adults. Adult size systems were not subdivided. Second, Korean male legs were classified into Group 1 (large girth and height and lower body muscle) and Group 2 (small girth and height and low underbody muscle). Third, the size system is based on vertical items such as height and mid-thigh circumference. Each group produced 10 sizes. The smallest height or the largest height was also found to be about 4.5 to 5.0cm smaller or larger than the sample size for each group. The total length of the leg guard was about 2.5cm when the height was increased or decreased by one size. It was confirmed that the deviation of the circumference of the mid-thigh should be about 2.0cm larger or smaller than the sample size even if the height is the same. The deviation of the knee circumference and ankle circumference was smaller than the other circumference. In conclusion, the dimension combinations of the leg guard must be set differently to provide a leg guard with high size suitability according to leg type.

칼라센서를 이용한 담배 완숙도의 식별장치 개발 (Development of Tobacco Ripeness Grading Meter Using the Color Sensor)

  • A tobacco ripeness grading meter was designed and constructed using the color sensor, its performance was evaluated. A degree of ripeness grading of a leaf is very closely related to the measured tobacco leaf color. Measuring the small amount of the reflectance precisely depends on the apparatus including color sensor, light source, detector sensitivity, and geometric characteristics of appratus. To analyze and minimize the variational effects, experiments to select the proper condition were performed. Because of the combined effect mentioned above, the system has some variation on its response. Basis on the results of the experiments, prototype was developed and interfaced to a computer system. The main components of prototype included a tungsten lamp as a light source, Amorphous full color sensor with three filters, regulated D.C. power supply, OP - AMP(741 TC) for amplification, AR - B3001 board for interfacing to a computer with analog to digital conversion, and a compatible IBM PC XT computer. The experimental results of the developed ripeness tobacco leaf measurement system are summarized as following: [1] The output readings of ripeness grade meter for tobacco leaf, which is based on harvesting time, showed the apparent difference in variety of different quality. It was considered suitable that three filters(red, green, blue) in Amorphous full color sensor could be used in four different ripeness degree measurement of tobacco leaf. [2] The output readings of ripeness grade meter for tobacco leaf, which is based on government procurement, showed apparent difference in variety of different quality. Tobacco leaf varieties to stalk position are divided into tips, leaf, cutters, and primings, It is considered suitable that only red filter in the sensor could be used to classify the grade of tobacco leaf within the same kind tobacco stalk. However, the ripeness grade meter was not adequate to classify all the tobacco grades in the four different tobacco leaves.

Gleason's Grading of Prostatic Adenocarcinoma: Inter-Observer Variation Among Seven Pathologists at a Tertiary Care Center in Oman

  • Prostatic adenocarcinoma is the commonest solid malignancy seen in Omani elderly males 60-80 years of age. The Gleason grade is the most widely used grading system for prostatic carcinoma and is recommended by the World Health Organization. A peer review was carried out at the Pathology Department of Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH), Oman, to assess the quality of reporting at the center. The aim of this study was to determine inter-observer variation among 7 pathologists working at a tertiary care center in Oman. A total of 47 consecutive prostatic biopsies were interdependently reviewed by seven pathologists and the results obtained were compared with each other and the original diagnosis. This peer review indicated a fair inter-observer agreement (0.482) among 7 pathologists in the department, with fair to moderate agreement when the results were compared to the reported diagnosis, comparable to the published literature. Dual and sub-specialty reporting are being instituted to improve the performance in this vital aspect of pathology.

개에서 내측슬개골 탈구 등급에 따른 고관절 이상과의 상관관계에 대한 방사선학적 평가 (Radiographic Evaluation of Hip Conformation in the Dogs with Medial Patella Luxation)

  • This study was performed in 41 dogs with unilateral or bilateral medial patella luxation (MPL) and/or cranial cruciate ligament rupture (CCLR). These dogs were classified into 4 groups according to MPL grading system. Radiographic evaluation was performed for pelvis and stifle joint in the dogs. Norberg, inclination, quadriceps and femoral varus angle were measured and analyzed with MPL grading and the existence of cranial cruciate ligament rupture. The Norberg and inclination angle showed no differences between 4 grading groups and between CCLR and no CCLR groups. However, quadriceps and femoral varus angle were statistically different between grade 1, 2 and grade 3, 4 groups. They also have shown the statistical difference between CCLR and no CCLR group. Further studies for how these parameters affect the prognosis and the results of surgical treatment of MPL should be needed.

치수규격 및 그레이딩을 위한 체형 유형화에 관한 연구(II) (A Study on Classifying Body Forms for the Standards Regarding Size and Grading Method(II))

  • This study illucidated the importance of drop Value in the resets of surveying the current values of sizing and grading. Therefore, it is meaningful to get the classification of body form with the appropriate distribution of drop values of the body. The distribution of drop value and the frequency of each form is very helpful to name the combined sizing or coverage of ready-made clothes. This study aimed at classifying body forms with various drop values using multivariate analysis for sizing and grading. Factor analysis and cluster analysis were done using measured values from unmarried women. The resets are as follows; The factor which explains body forms was obtained by factor analysis, and the representative major 18 items which have important roles in classifying body forms were selected among the measured values with high factor loading and communality. 1) The body forms were classified into 3 groups based on the characteristics, frequencies and distributions of them obtained from cluster analysis. 2) Each classified body form showed conspicuous difference in drop value and the difference of body form mainly resulted from the difference between bust and hip(drop value) in Korean unmarried women. 3) Discriminant analysis showed that the most significant discriminant factor of the trunk classification were bust circumference, upper bust circumference, hip circumference and stature. 4) The cover ratio of size studied in this study for the Korean Sizing system for women's garment were founded high.

신경회로망을 이용한 담배 숙도인식 및 등급판정 (Recognition of Tabacco Ripeness & Grading based on the Neural Network)

  • Efficient algorithms for the automatic classification of flue-cured tovacco ripeness and grading have been developed The ripeness of the tobacco was classified into 4 levels vased on the color. The lab-built simple RGB color measuring system was utilized for detecting the light reflectance of the tobacco leaves. The measured data were used far training the artificial neural network The performance of the trained network was also tested far the untrained samples. The spectrophotometer was used to detect the light reflectance and absorption of the graded tobacco leaves in the frequency ranges of the visible light The measured data and the statistical analysis was performed to investigate the light characteristics of the graded samples. The measured data were obtained from samples of 5 different grades directly without considering the leaf positions. Those data were used far training the artificial neural network The performance of the trained network was also tested far the untrained samples. The neural network based sensor information processing showed successful results for grading of tobacco leaves.

Relationship between porcine carcass grades and estimated traits based on conventional and non-destructive inspection methods

  • As pork consumption increases, rapid and accurate determination of porcine carcass grades at abattoirs has become important. Non-destructive, automated inspection methods have improved slaughter efficiency in abattoirs. Furthermore, the development of a calibration equation suitable for non-destructive inspection of domestic pig breeds may lead to rapid determination of pig carcass and more objective pork grading judgement. In order to increase the efficiency of pig slaughter, the correct estimation of the automated-method that can accommodate the existing pig carcass judgement should be made. In this study, the previously developed calibration equation was verified to confirm whether the estimated traits accord with the actual measured traits of pig carcass. A total of 1,069,019 pigs, to which the developed calibration equation, was applied were used in the study and the optimal estimated regression equation for actual measured two traits (backfat thickness and hot carcass weight) was proposed using the estimated traits. The accuracy of backfat thickness and hot carcass weight traits in the estimated regression models through stepwise regression analysis was 0.840 (R2) and 0.980 (R2), respectively. By comparing the actually measured traits with the estimated traits, we proposed optimal estimated regression equation for the two measured traits, which we expect will be a cornerstone for the Korean porcine carcass grading system.

재료에 따른 다짐말뚝 구근 형성 메커니즘 (Mechanism on Bulb Formation of Compaction Pile Depending on Materials)

  • 본 논문에서는 연약지반개량을 위해 활용되고 있는 모래다짐말뚝 공법의 개선을 위해 개발된 입도조정골재 다짐말뚝의 구근 형성 및 품질을 평가하고자 다짐말뚝 시공을 모사하는 축소모형실험 시스템을 개발하고 일련의 실험을 수행하였다. 현재 모래다짐말뚝 공법의 경우 모래의 공급 부족으로 인해 경제성이 하락하였고, 쇄석다짐말뚝 공법은 해상 초연약점토지반에 시공 시 구근의 팽창 파괴로 인한 불균일한 구근과 퍼짐 현상 발생으로 해상 연약지반 적용에 한계가 있어왔다. 구근의 균일한 형성은 다짐말뚝의 지지력에 큰 영향을 미치나, 현재까지 구근 형성에 대한 연구사례는 전무하다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 다짐말뚝 구근이 시공되는 절차를 모사하여 구근 형성 메커니즘을 규명하고, 기존 다짐말뚝 공법을 개선하는 입도조정골재의 품질 평가를 목표로 하였다. 본 연구에서는 다짐말뚝 재료와 지반 강도를 매개변수로 하여 4차례 실험을 수행하였다. 다짐말뚝 재료는 입도조정골재와 모래를 비교·분석하였다. 실험결과, 입도조정골재 다짐말뚝의 구근은 모래다짐말뚝과 유사한 품질로 나타났으며, 입도조정골재 다짐말뚝의 지지력이 모래다짐말뚝 보다 향상되는 것을 확인하였다.

수화 시의 형태학적 특징에 따른 건해삼의 등급 분류 시스템 개발 (Sea Cucumber (Stichopus japonicus) Grading System Based on Morphological Features during Rehydration Process)

  • 본 연구에서는 건해삼의 수화도에 따른 등급 분류를 확립하고자 하였다. 건해삼은 영상분석을 통하여 건해삼의 길이, 너비, 부피, 겉넓이의 형태학적 특징을 추출하였다. 측정된 data를 이용하여 k-mean clustering을 실시, 95개의 건해삼을 3개의 등급으로 분류하여 $30^{\circ}C$에서 40시간 수화실험을 실시하였다. 건해삼의 k-mean clustering을 실시한 결과 건해삼의 부피와 겉넓이는 건해삼의 등급을 가장 잘 나타낼 수 있는 인자였다. 등급별 수분 함량은 grade1은 71.23%, grade2는 75.60%, grade3는 85.62%를 확인하였다. 본 수화속도의 차이는 등급별 해삼이 동일한 수화 flux를 갖는 것을 고려하였을 때, 해삼의 수화는 겉넓이에 지배적임을 확인할 수 있다. 해삼의 수화는 물의 물질전달을 통해 이루어지며 Fick의 확산법칙에 따라 겉넓이가 커질수록 물질전달 속도가 증가함을 본 연구의 수화실험 결과에서도 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 건해삼의 등급을 분류하여 최적의 수분 함량(75%)을 충족하기 위한 등급별 수화시간을 도출하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 건해삼의 등급판별은 "수화도에 따른 건해삼의 품질 변화"에 대한 추가적인 연구를 통해 등급별 최적의 수화시간의 도출이 가능하다.

제주 의료관광을 위한 에코 휴양복의 패턴그레이딩 연구 (A Study on Pattern Grading of Eco Resort wear for Jeju Medical Tourism)

  • 본 연구는 국제자유도시 제주의 친환경 소재 휴양복을 고찰해 봄으로써 앞으로 제주 의료관광 산업에서의 부가가치 및 수익 창출에 기여하고자 수행되었다. 의료관광 상품에 고품격 맞춤형 휴양복을 포함시킴으로써 관광객들이 제주에서 휴양복 착용의 쾌적한 체험을 하고 기념품으로 가져감으로써, 제주에 대한 좋은 인상과 추억을 갖게 된다면, 또다시 제주를 관광 목적지로 선택할 것이다. 잘 개발된 갈옷 휴양복은 다른 갈옷 상품과도 잘 매치될 수 있으므로 제주 문화상품 갈옷의 추가 구매 효과도 전망할 수 있다. 아울러 개발 휴양복의 사이즈 체계와 패턴 그레이딩을 구축을 통해 상품생산의 효율성이 상대적으로 매우 취약한 지역 업체의 애로사항을 해결하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 제주지역 갈옷업체를 조사하여 애로사항 및 개선점을 고찰하였다. 둘째, 제주 의료관광을 위한 갈천 소재 휴양복을 정의하고 문헌 몇 시장조사, 디자인 논의 등의 결과를 반영하여 타당성 있는 대표 디자인을 선정하였다. 셋째, 생산표준화를 위한 상품제작 사이즈체계를 정립하고 패턴그레이딩을 구축하여 제안하였다.
