중학교 1학년 수학과 서술형 평가문항 개발 연구 (A Study on Development of Problems for Descriptive Evaluation in Grade 7 Mathematics)

  • In this paper, descriptive assessment method for middle school mathematics was evaluated by developing a framework for designing and grading problems for descriptive assessment and analyzing the effectiveness of the problems. The new descriptive assessment problems were developed by reviewing the current 7th National Mathematics Curriculum of Korea and aligned mathematics textbooks to define a set of problem design principles and evaluation framework for the assessment strategy. The developed problems were first pilot tested and then revised based on the feedback from the test. The final version was field tested by 100 students in 7th grade middle school. After the field test, the problems were graded by two middle school math teachers and one math education researcher to determine the overall correlation between graders and also to analyze effectiveness of the evaluation framework of the test. This result of this study is expected to assist in the further development of descriptive problems and grading framework by providing a reference work for teachers to better understand the process and the limitations of executing the new assessment strategy.

남성정장 상.하의 그레이딩에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pattern Grading for Men's Formal Wear)

  • The purpose of this study was to propose a computer-based grading method for men's formal wear according to the sizing systems based on the size and dimension whereby manufactured men's formal wear can be classified. The following procedures were as follows : 1) We surveyed the sizing systems and the computer-grading methods that have been used and presently practiced by the domestic garment industry of the ready-made men's wear. 2) Using the survey data of the domestic men's ready-made clothing industry and that of the National Anthropometric Survey of Korea in 1997, we proposed the new sizing and grading systems of men's formal wear within the framework of the Korean Garment Industry's directions and the data of the domestic men's ready-made clothing industry. 3) The suitability of the new grading systems to the domestic garment industry were put to a wearing teat. The findings were as follows : 1) Survey of the domestic ready-made garment industry showed that each company classified its own manufactured goods according to its own sizing and grading systems. 2) The superiority of the grading system was been demonstrated by a high approval rate of the subjects who participated in the testing.

Moving towards Evidence-Based Clinical Practice Guidelines

  • The Institute of Medicine in its report "Clinical Practice Guidelines we can trust" defined standards for clinical practice guidelines. However, many guidelines continue to rely on expert opinion and lack a formal framework for moving from evidence to recommendations. These guidelines may or may not be labeled as "consensus statements" and do not meet contemporary standards for guideline documents we would refer to as "evidence-based". Therefore, the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation working group developed a novel, rigorous and transparent approach to grading certainty (quality) of evidence. In addition, it created a system for "moving from evidence to decisions", for example for the development of evidence-based guidelines. In this article, we aim to introduce this approach to appraising the certainty of relevant evidence and estimate the benefits and detriments of health care interventions within the larger context of evidence-based medicine.

의과대학생의 정신건강 증진을 위한 지원의 틀과 방안 (A Comprehensive Framework and Approaches for Enhancing Mental Health in Medical Students)

  • Research suggests that medical students frequently experience mental health problems such as stress, burnout, and depression, which may, in turn, affect suicidal ideation and behaviors. Since mental health problems profoundly impact academic achievement and professionalism, it is vital to understand factors influencing students' mental health and identify strategies to provide the necessary support. Some relevant influencing factors range from the personal level, including gender, personality traits, perfectionism, and social support, to the environmental level, including the grading system, educational phases, exposure to patients' death, mistreatment, and culture of medicine. In this regard, a comprehensive mental health support system that encompasses environmental interventions, as well as personal-level support, is needed. Simultaneously, proactive approaches that address the improvement of self-care and alleviation of systemic burdens are essential, together with the predominant reactive approaches focusing on problems and deficits. Altogether, we proposed a framework for enhancing mental health constructed by four categories (personal-reactive, environmental-reactive, personal-proactive, environmental-proactive) based on the intervention level and goal of support. All four categories have important implications, and one cannot replace the other, but expanding environmental-proactive support will allow more students to learn how to pursue health independently. We expect that this comprehensive framework for enhancing mental health could expand support systems for medical students' personal and professional development.

드라이빙 시뮬레이터 기반 자율주행차 판단능력 등급화를 위한 평가지표 선정 (Selection of Evaluation Metrics for Grading Autonomous Driving Car Judgment Abilities Based on Driving Simulator)

  • 현재 전 세계적으로 연구·개발 중인 자율주행차 Level 3에서 Level 5단계는 운전자의 인지-판단-제어과정을 차량에 탑재된 각종 센서로 대체하여, 운전과정의 대부분을 인공지능이 자율적으로 수행할 수 있도록 한다. 하지만 현재 자율주행차는 국가별로 상이한 자율주행차의 판단능력 최소기준을 만족할 경우, 임시운행 허가를 받아 도로주행이 가능하도록 하고 있다. 향후 자율주행차가 보급될 때 구매자들은 임시운행 허가의 한계로 위험상황 회피능력에 대한 신뢰도가 높지 않을 것으로 예상된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 드라이빙 시뮬레이터 기반으로 운전자의 위험상황 회피능력 비교·평가를 통해 자율주행차 판단능력 등급화 방안 제시 및 시나리오별 등급화가 가능한 평가지표를 도출하고자 하였다. 드라이빙 시뮬레이터 실험에는 성인 30명(남=25, 여=5명)이 참여하였다. 실험결과 분석은 K-평균 군집분석과 독립표본 T-검정을 진행하였으며, 이를 통해 자율주행차의 판단능력 등급 분류가 가능함과 등급 분류의 통계적 유의성을 확인할 수 있었다. 향후 자율주행차의 위험상황 회피능력에 대한 신뢰수준을 향상시키는데 크게 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

농어촌지역 하위정주체계 모형의 대안설정 (An Alternative Model on Hierachial Settlement System in Rural Areas)

  • In rural settlement planning, its spatial development framework should be constructed on the basis of the hierachial settlement system. However, up to now, there does not exist widely - accepted model on rural settlement hierachy. In this study the basic planning principles and directions on the modelling of the settlement hireachy in rural areas have been consolidated through theoretical study and situational analysis on planning environments. And also, a new yardstick on the grading of the middle - level centers between villages and rural towns has been tried to find out. The research resulted that the existance of periodical rural market might be used as a simple and innovative yardstick on the hierachial ordering of rural settlement system. Based on the above results, an alternative 4 - step model of rural settlement hierachy was proposed ; Rural Town(county hall sitted) -Market Center(having standard periodical market) - Village Center(having no market) - Village. Finally, because the conclusion has been made by very limited case studies and several previous works, there should need continuous studies and checks in future for full reasoning of the proposed model.

Vibration analysis of FG reinforced porous nanobeams using two variables trigonometric shear deformation theory

  • A finite element method analysis framework is introduced for the free vibration analyses of functionally graded porous beam structures by employing two variables trigonometric shear deformation theory. Both Young's modulus and material density of the FGP beam element are simultaneously considered as grading through the thickness of the beam. The finite element approach is developed using a nonlocal strain gradient theory. The governing equations derived here are solved introducing a 3-nodes beam element. A comprehensive parametric study is carried out, with a particular focus on the effects of various structural parameters such as the dispersion patterns of GPL reinforcements and porosity, thickness ratio, boundary conditions, nonlocal scale parameter and strain gradient parameters. The results indicate that porosity distribution and GPL pattern have significant effects on the response of the nanocomposite beams.

  • Image processing techniques play an increasingly important role in many aspects of our daily life. For example, it has been shown to improve agricultural productivity in a number of ways such as plant pest detecting or fruit grading. However, massive quantities of images generated in real-time through multi-devices such as remote sensors during monitoring plant growth lead to the challenges of big data. Meanwhile, most current image processing systems are designed for small-scale and local computation, and they do not scale well to handle big data problems with their large requirements for computational resources and storage. In this paper, we have proposed an IPABigData (Image Processing Algorithm BigData) platform which provides algorithms to support large-scale image processing in agriculture based on Hadoop framework. Hadoop provides a parallel computation model MapReduce and Hadoop distributed file system (HDFS) module. It can also handle parallel pipelines, which are frequently used in image processing. In our experiment, we show that our platform outperforms traditional system in a scenario of image segmentation.

Dual-scale BERT using multi-trait representations for holistic and trait-specific essay grading

  • As automated essay scoring (AES) has progressed from handcrafted techniques to deep learning, holistic scoring capabilities have merged. However, specific trait assessment remains a challenge because of the limited depth of earlier methods in modeling dual assessments for holistic and multi-trait tasks. To overcome this challenge, we explore providing comprehensive feedback while modeling the interconnections between holistic and trait representations. We introduce the DualBERT-Trans-CNN model, which combines transformer-based representations with a novel dual-scale bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT) encoding approach at the document-level. By explicitly leveraging multi-trait representations in a multi-task learning (MTL) framework, our DualBERT-Trans-CNN emphasizes the interrelation between holistic and trait-based score predictions, aiming for improved accuracy. For validation, we conducted extensive tests on the ASAP++ and TOEFL11 datasets. Against models of the same MTL setting, ours showed a 2.0% increase in its holistic score. Additionally, compared with single-task learning (STL) models, ours demonstrated a 3.6% enhancement in average multi-trait performance on the ASAP++ dataset.

  • 본 연구는 수학과 서술형 평가에 관한 문항개발 사례 연구로서 교사들이 학교 현장에서 실제적으로 활용할 수 있는 평가문항과 평가기준을 개발하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 평가문항과 평가기준의 개발절차를 마련하고 초등학교 4-나 단계의 각 단원에 해당되는 구체적인 서술형 평가 문항과 그에 대한 평가기준을 개발하였다. 개발 과정에서 문항의 신뢰도 검증을 위하여 서술형 평가 문항과 평가기준을 초등학교 4학년 학급에 적용한 결과를 분석하였다.
