Design of Fuzzy-Neural Networks Structure using HCM and Optimization Algorithm (HCM 및 최적 알고리즘을 이용한 퍼지-뉴럴네트워크구조의 설계)

  • This paper presents an optimal identification method of nonlinear and complex system that is based on fuzzy-neural network(FNN). The FNN used simplified inference as fuzzy inference method and Error Back Propagation Algorithm as learning rule. And we use a HCM Algorithm to find initial parameters of membership function. And then to obtain optimal parameters, we use the genetic algorithm. Genetic algorithm is a random search algorithm which can find the global optimum without converging to local optimum. The parameters such as membership functions, learning rates and momentum coefficients are easily adjusted using the genetic algorithms. Also, the performance index with weighted value is introduced to achieve a meaningful balance between approximation and generalization abilities of the model. To evaluate the performance of the FNN, we use the time series data for 9as furnace and the sewage treatment process.

  • Recently, an attempt to analyze and modify metabolic networks of living organisms in global level emerged with the benefit of development of high-throughput techniques, and it is generally called systems biology. Various systems biology studies have been carried out for the development of enhanced metabolite production systems. By modification of metabolic characteristics of microorganisms, metabolite productivities and yields obtained with metabolically engineered bacteria increased significantly compare with that obtained with wild type bacteria.

  • Ninety percent of an average Chinese manufacturer's time spent is on logistics. Therefore, logistics presents the greatest challenge for multinational companies conducting businesses in China. Although more than 18,000 registered logistics companies exist in China, 85 percent of their revenues are generated from basic trucking and storage services. These facts indicate that China will need increasing presence of high-quality foreign 3PL providers, who are able to provide sophisticated IT systems, industry/operational expertise, standardized operating processes, and international networks, compared to their Chinese counterparts. However, they are facing complicated array of laws and regulations as well as difficulty of finding qualified people to fulfill these needs. There are a number of foreign 3PL providers engaged in China's logistics sector to reap a huge opportunity. Nevertheless, many 3PL foreign providers are still cautious about making large investments. Thus they arelooking for alliances that can provide complementarities instead. Another salient feature of strategy is to take over the transportation assets and warehousing of major Chinese manufacturers and distributors.

  • This paper proposes a new method for improving the performances of the neural network for optimization using a hyubrid of gradient descent method and dynamic tunneling system. The update rule of gradient descent method, which has the fast convergence characteristic, is applied for high-speed optimization. The update rule of dynamic tunneling system, which is the deterministic method with a tunneling phenomenon, is applied for global optimization. Having converged to the for escaping the local minima by applying the dynamic tunneling system. The proposed method has been applied to the travelling salesman problems and the optimal task partition problems to evaluate to that of hopfield model using the update rule of gradient descent method.

  • This paper describes an experiment on the embedded network agent. The embedded network agent is the device that will enable other devices to communicate over the Internet. Many devices have no way to communicate with other devices over the Internet The embedded network agent extends the stand-alone devices that have no TCP/IP protocol suite to the Internet, the global networks, without any hardware and software. To support the better efficiency, this parer proffers new TCP state diagram of the embedded network agent. This TCP state on the embedded network agent considers the status of the common devices behind the embedded network agent. Because of this consideration, the embedded network agent tenders an improved result to user.

  • This paper propose a method for representing distributed data of sensor networks. The proposed method is based on a general distributed regression framework that models sensor data by fitting a global function to each of the local measurements and explores the possible extensions of distribution regression by using complex signal representations. In order to reduce the amount of processed data and the required communication, the signal model has to be as compact as possible, with the ability to restore the arbitrary measurements. To achieve this requirement, data compression step is included, where the basis function set is changed to an overcomplete set. This have better advantages in case of nonstationary signal modeling than complete base representation.

  • 무선 센서 네트워크의 다양한 응용분야에서, 일어나는 심각한 보안 위협 중 하나가 공격자가의 노드 훼손을 통해 발생하는 보안정보 훼손된 및 위조된 보고서의 삽입이다. 최근에 Fan Ye 등은 이런 위협에 대한 대안으로 전역 키 풀을 전체 센서네트워크에 나누어서 할당하고, 전송 경로 중에 있는 노드들이 미리 할당받은 각자의 보안정보인 인증키를 이용해서 위조 보고서를 판단하는 통계적 여과기법을 제안하였다. 그러나 이 기법에서는 노드들의 훼손으로 인한 일부 인증키가 훼손 됐을 시 고정된 몇 개의 구획으로 나뉜 전역 키 풀 때문에 훼손된 키의 구획에 속해 있는 나머지 훼손되지 않은 인증 키들이 여과과정에서 인증키로써의 기능을 할 수 없게 된다. 본 논문에서는 전역 키 풀의 분할 여부 결정에 퍼지 로직을 적용하여 전역 키 풀을 네트워크 상황에 맞추어 나누는 적응형 분할 결정 기법을 제안한다. 전역 키 풀의 구획은 오염된 구획의 비율. 오염된 키의 비율, 노드의 에너지 비율을 고려하여 퍼지로직에 의해 분할 여부를 결정한다.

Adapting Public Research Institutes to New Dynamics of Innovation

  • Governments around the world place great hopes in innovation in their search for new sources of growth and for responses to grand challenges, such as climate change, new or re-emerging infectious diseases, accelerating urbanisation, ageing, food security, and availability of clean water. However they must devise their relevant support policies -- including through sponsored research within public research institutes -- taking into account that innovation processes are currently undergoing a major transformation. New innovation patterns include a broadening scope of relevant activities, a growing importance but changing nature of scientific roots of technological development, a stronger demand-pull, the emergence of new local and national STI powerhouses, and the rise of more open and globalised innovation networks. They translate into new opportunities but also constraints for policies to enhance the contribution of public research institutes to national innovation performance. The article derives the main policy implications regarding the desirable evolution of the mission, research focus, as well as the funding and steering of public research institutes, with a special reference to Korea.

Computationally Efficient Implementation of a Hamming Code Decoder Using Graphics Processing Unit

  • This paper presents a computationally efficient implementation of a Hamming code decoder on a graphics processing unit (GPU) to support real-time software-defined radio, which is a software alternative for realizing wireless communication. The Hamming code algorithm is challenging to parallelize effectively on a GPU because it works on sparsely located data items with several conditional statements, leading to non-coalesced, long latency, global memory access, and huge thread divergence. To address these issues, we propose an optimized implementation of the Hamming code on the GPU to exploit the higher parallelism inherent in the algorithm. Experimental results using a compute unified device architecture (CUDA)-enabled NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560, including 335 cores, revealed that the proposed approach achieved a 99x speedup versus the equivalent CPU-based implementation.

  • In Korea it continues to grow elderly population, especially the elderly who lived alone and above-average temperatures is increased by global worming lately. So that, to take immediate action and to solve social isolation for elderly people living alone, we prospect it plays an important role ubiquitous information technology(IT) such as Geosensor based on GIS, RFID and wireless sensor networks, etc. In this paper, we searched domestic and foreign response status of heat wave for the elderly and proposed u-Care service for the elderly to stay indoors during heatwave warning. In future, we will design u-Care system and carry out various researches on accuracy, revitalization, the law, etc.
