This study was conducted to compare global mindset competency between engineering and non-engineering college students. Participants were 100 engineering and 202 non-engineering college students. Results indicated that engineering college students showed significantly lower mean scores on foreign understanding and self-directed adaptability than non-engineering college students, whereas there were no significant differences on self-ratings of foreign language ability. Hierarchical regression analyses revealed that the incremental validity of global mindset competency factors on global competency was significant. Finally, limitations of the present study and suggestions for further studies were discussed.

산업 현장에서 축적된 기술과 전문성을 갖고 있는 시니어의 창업은 사회적인 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 본 연구는 시니어를 대상으로 4차 산업혁명기에 코로나19로 인해 변화된 일자리 사회구조와 최근 급격하게 진행되고 있는 고금리 및 글로벌 공급망 문제 등으로 불안 요인과 불확실성이 증폭된 경제 상황 속에서 시니어의 주요한 창업역량 변수들이 창업의도에 어떤 영향을 미치는가 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 또한 예비창업자 개인 심리적 특성인 마인드셋의 관점에서 성장 마인드셋과 고정 마인드셋이 시니어 창업의도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는지 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 창업자의 심리적 특성을 마인드셋의 관점에서 접근하여 창업분야에 적용하려고 시도하고 실무적 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 본 연구는 마인드셋의 구성 요인인 성장 마인드셋, 고정 마인드셋과 창업역량의 기술적 역량, 네트워크 역량, 자금조달 역량이 시니어 창업의도에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하고 창업효능감의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 실증분석 결과는 성장 마인드셋과 기술적 역량은 창업의도에 정(+)의 효과를 미치는 것으로 검증되었다. 또한 성장 마인드셋과 기술적 역량이 창업의도에 미치는 영향에서 창업효능감의 매개효과가 유의한 것으로 검증되었고 시니어 창업에 있어 성장 마인드셋과 기술적 역량이 중요한 변수임을 검증하였다. 연구 결과 다음의 정책적 시사점을 준다. 시니어 창업을 활성화하기 위해서는 첫째, 창업자 교육 시 효과의 극대화를 위해 창업자의 심리적 특성인 성장 마인드셋 특성에 부합한 맞춤형 창업교육 등의 프로그램이 필요하다. 둘째, 기술 역량과 전문성을 갖춘 시니어 창업에 대해서는 저금리의 정책금융 확대 등 정부지원 확대로 기술창업의 저변확대가 요구된다. 셋째 시니어에게 축적되어있는 전문성과 기술력을 퇴직 후에도 창업에 연계될 수 있도록 퇴직 전부터 창업 프로그램의 제공 등 창업을 준비할 수 있는 제도적 시스템의 지원이 필요하다.

Purpose: This study analyzed the relationship between corporate capacity and management performance in the Korean distribution industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. Research design, data and methodology: The data for this study used the 2021 KOTRA GCL Test Data, and multiple regression analysis was performed using SPSS 26. As corporate competency, human capital and related capital of intellectual capital theory were utilized, and the global network level of social network theory was also utilized. As an additional analysis, corporate characteristics factors were used. Results: First, the level of global mindset of human capital acted as a positive factor in management performance, and the level of professional manpower did not achieve significant results. Second, related capital acted as a positive factor in corporate performance. Third, from the perspective of social network theory, the global network level of companies acted as a positive factor in management performance. Finally, the relationship between corporate characteristics and management performance was marginally significant. Conclusions: In order to improve the business performance of a company in a market shock such as the COVID-19 pandemic, it is required to strengthen the level of network construction with customers and increase the level of intellectual capital that a company has.
