In this paper, we present the global minimization condition by an informal analysis of the Langevine competitive learning neural network. From the viewpoint of the stochastic process, it is important that competitive learning guarantees an optimal solution for pattern recognition. By analysis of the Fokker-Plank equation for the proposed neural network, we show that if an energy function has a special pseudo-convexity, Langevine competitive learning can find the global minima. Experimental results for pattern recognition of handwritten numeral data indicate the superiority of the proposed algorithm.

The change of the global environment, especially the development of the communication and transportation and the decrease of the trade barrier promotes the progress of globalization. Under this background, the globalization progress of Chinese electronic firms is also pushed forward, compared with the early firms, which is being quickly shortened. This study has some purposes. First, this tries to investigate the growth process of the Chinese electronics firms, by which reveals the progress of the global competition ability and the background of promoting their rapid globalization. Second, this study estimates and analyzes the implemented process of Haier's globalization strategy, which is the Chinese most representative global Firm. Finally, this article elaborates the globalization of Chinese firms and the apocalypse of the Korean firms and also shows the corresponding projects for them.

본 논문은 중국전통문화 오행문무(五行文武)와 인터랙티브 미디어 아트 개념을 결합한다. 중국 전통악기 고금(古琴, Gu Qui)을 레이저 다이오드와 빛감지센서를 이용하여 현을 하드웨어적으로 구현하고, VVVV를 활용하여 센서 인식, 음향재생, 프로젝션 화면 영상 시각화에 해당하는 소프트웨어를 구현한다.

This article aimed to investigate problems relating to medical tourism based on a review of medical tourism reports and statistics in the global healthcare industry. To be a leading nation in the global healthcare industry, the needs and culture of many peoples, including Muslims, should be considered. Qualified medical services by JCI certification, including nutrition services, will provide opportunities to participate in the international and Asia medical tourism markets. In this article, the definitions of medical tourism, medical service, Halal and Haram, nutrition service for inbound Muslim patients, and Halal food supply in Korea were examined for medical service improvement. Mutual assistance between the government and private enterprise, sharing of medical service information, and construction of a cooperative network system are needed and should be supported by the government.

This paper discusses some requirement issues of future global e-trade. Korea has been making lots of efforts on e-trade promotions and many research results support that the performance of e-trade should be increased. There are still many unsolved issues as well as future demands in this area. In this paper, we propose some e-trade requirements for next generation and those are e-trade governance, collaboration enhancement among trading participants, the utilization of e-trade documents repository, the expansion of global e-trade network, and e-trade intelligence just to name a few. For each requirement, we propose some research topics as well as practical implications for improving the performance of global e-trades. One can find some useful thoughts for the future research based on the propositions made by this paper.

Nursing research in the United States (US) spans several decades. Many of the priorities/trends have stayed through the years. Today, the goal of producing evidence to support nursing care interventions coupled with the drive for Magnet Recognition has encouraged academic nurses (faculty) to work with nurse clinicians to form research teams. Interdisciplinary research teams have also formed to address growing concerns over patient safety and quality care. These issues are not just US issues but global ones. This article addresses US trends with the link to global research trends. The role that organizations such as the International Council of Nurses (ICN), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Council of International Neonatal Nurses, Inc. (COINN) pay in shaping research agendas and promoting nursing research is highlighted. It emphasizes the key role that nurses, especially nurse leaders/administrators play in changing health outcomes through support of nursing research.

This paper is to find optimum design of plane framed structures with discrete variables. Global search algorithms for this problem are Genetic Algorithms(GAs), Simulated Annealing(SA) and Shuffled Complex Evolution(SCE), and hybrid methods (GAs-SA, GAs-SCE). GAs and SA are heuristic search algorithms and effective tools which is finding global solution for discrete optimization. In particular, GAs is known as the search method to find global optimum or near global optimum. In this paper, reinforced concrete plane frames with rectangular section and steel plane frames with W-sections are used for the design of discrete optimization. These structures are designed for stress constraints. The robust and effectiveness of Genetic Algorithms are demonstrated through several examples.

This paper proposes an image processing algorithm to stabilize shaken scenes of UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) caused by vehicle self-vibration and aerodynamic disturbance. The proposed method stabilizes images by compensating estimated shake motion which is evaluated from global motion. The global motion between two continuous images modeled by 6 parameter warping model is estimated by non-linear square method based on Gauss-Newton algorithm with excluding outlier region. The shake motion is evaluated by subtracting the global motion from aerial vehicle motion obtained by averaging global motion. Experimental results show that the proposed method stabilize shaken scenes effectively.

Reconstruction of the past vegetational changes of Korea in connection with climate changes enables to understand the impacts of past and future global warming on alpine vegetation. Despite the early appearance of the cold-tolerant vegetation since the Mesozoic Era. the occurrence of warmth-tolerant vegetation during the Oligocene and Miocene implies that most of alpine and subalpine vegetations have been confined to the alpine and subalpine belts of northern Korean Peninsula. The presence of cold-episodes during the Pleistocene. however. might have caused a general southward and downslope expansions of cold-tolerant alpine and subalpine vegetation. But the climatic warming trend during the Holocene or post-glacial period eventually has isolated cold-tolerant alpine and subalpine vegetation mainly in the northern Korea. but also on scattered high mountains in the southern Korea. The presence of numerous arctic-alpine and alpine plants on the alpine and subalpine belts is mainly due to their relative degree of sensitivity to high summer temperatures. Global warming would cause important changes in species composition and altitudinal distributional pattern. The altitudinal migration of temperate vegetation upward caused by climatic warming would eventually devastate alpine plants.

In tandem with Korea's globalization efforts, local restaurant business in growing leaps and bounds. By the year 2000, the industry is expected to soar to one of the major industries with hosting many large-scale international events. Rising to the occasion, the Korea Restaurant Industry needs change itscurrent modus operandi focusing on management skill improvement and globalizatin of its network. In Particular, they need to have their competity edge against multinational Restaurant brands both in local and overseas markets. To further develop the local industry, we need to work on the following areas. 1. Top management is required to show firm commitment to development of local brand that can be a real player in the global market. 2. To make any impact in the global market, a specific marketing strategy needs to be developed fit for each market. 3. To save initial investment expenditure, a close cooperation among local industries is prerequisite. 4. To make the industry easier to go global, local government needs to provide them with financial and taxational benefits.
