수평 T형 분지관 내 냉매 이상유동 분배특성에 미치는 변수들의 영향 (Effect of Parameters on the Two-Phase Flow Distribution Characteristics of Refrigerants in a Horizontal T-Junction)

  • The present study has been experimentally investigated the effect of geometric and operating parameters on the two-phase flow distribution of refrigerants in a horizontal T-junction. The operating parameters were the kind of refrigerants (R-22, R- l34a, and R-410A), saturated temperature, and the inlet mass flux and quality. The geometric parameters were the tube diameter and the tube diameter ratio. The measured data of refrigerants were compared with the values predicted using the models developed by several researchers for air/water or steani/water two-phase flow. Among the operating parameters, the inlet Quality was the most sensitive to the mass flow rate ratio. Between the geometric parameters, the tube diameter ratio was more sensitive than tube diameter.

연마재 워터젯 암석절삭을 위한 결합 노즐의 기하학적 변수 영향 (Effects of geometric parameters of a combined nozzle for rock cutting using an abrasive waterjet)

  • 연마재 워터젯을 이용하여 암반을 굴착하기 위해서는 노즐이 삽입되고 절삭하는 연속적 공정이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 노즐이 삽입되기 위한 충분한 절삭 폭을 확보하기 위해 한 쌍의 연마재 워터젯 노즐을 이용하여 암석 절삭실험을 실시하였다. 한 쌍의 노즐형태와 위치에 따른 기하학적 변수에 따라 암석 절삭형상과 절삭 폭이 달라지는 것을 확인하였다. 정의된 기하학적 변수에 따라 절삭 깊이 및 폭을 측정하여 암반에 형성되는 절삭단면 형상을 분석하였다. 그 중 노즐 삽입이 가능한 기하학적 변수를 제시하고 현장적용 가능성에 대해 검증하였다.

Estimation of Geometric Mean for k Exponential Parameters Using a Probability Matching Prior

  • In this article, we consider a Bayesian estimation method for the geometric mean of $textsc{k}$ exponential parameters, Using the Tibshirani's orthogonal parameterization, we suggest an invariant prior distribution of the $textsc{k}$ parameters. It is seen that the prior, probability matching prior, is better than the uniform prior in the sense of correct frequentist coverage probability of the posterior quantile. Then a weighted Monte Carlo method is developed to approximate the posterior distribution of the mean. The method is easily implemented and provides posterior mean and HPD(Highest Posterior Density) interval for the geometric mean. A simulation study is given to illustrates the efficiency of the method.

  • In this paper, we deal with the problem of deciding the length of data for estimating the parameters in geometric Brownian motion. As an approach to this problem, we consider the change point test and introduce simple test statistic based on the cumulative sum of squares test (cusum test). A real data analysis is performed for illustration.

  • An automotive wheel bearing is one of the most important components to guarantee the service life of a passenger car. The endurance life of a bearing is affected by many parameters such as material properties, heat treatment, lubrication conditions temperature loading conditions, bearing geometry, internal clearance and so on. In this paper, we calculate the endurance life of wheel bearing units and analyze the sensitivity of bearing geometric parameters on the life by using Taguchi method.

  • Automotive wheel bearings are one of the most important components to guarantee the service life of a passenger car. In this paper, we analyze the relation between loads and deformations of wheel bearing units. On the basis of it we calculate the endurance life of wheel bearing units and analyze the contribution of bearing geometric parameters on the endurance life by using Taguchi method.

Nonlinear resonances of nonlocal strain gradient nanoplates made of functionally graded materials considering geometric imperfection

  • When studying the resonance problem of nanoplates, the existing papers do not consider the influences of geometric nonlinearity and initial geometric imperfection, so this paper is to fill this gap. In this paper, based on the nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT), the nonlinear resonances of functionally graded (FG) nanoplates with initial geometric imperfection under different boundary conditions are established. In order to consider the small size effect of plates, nonlocal parameters and strain gradient parameters are introduced to expand the assumptions of the first-order shear deformation theory. Subsequently, the equations of motion are derived using the Euler-Lagrange principle and solved with the help of perturbation method. In addition, the effects of initial geometrical imperfection, functionally graded index, strain gradient parameter, nonlocal parameter and porosity on the nonlinear forced vibration behavior of nanoplates under different boundary conditions are discussed.

  • 이 논문은 삼차원 메쉬의 의미있는 조각의 기하적 속성을 나타내기 위하여 정의한 병합우선순위메트릭에 기반한 사용자 의도 메쉬분할의 그리디 방법을 제시한다. 우선순위메트릭은 가우시안사상의 분포, 경계경로의 오목성, 경계경로의 길이, 면의 개수, 분할해상도의 5 가지 기하적 매개변수로 구성된 가중치 함수이다. 이러한 방식은 구도의 변경 없이 다른 기하적 매개변수를 정의하고 추가함으로써 확장될 수 있다. 실험 결과, 분할된 조각의 모양은 기하적 매개변수의 가중치를 부여함으로써 사용자 의도대로 조절될 수 있음을 보여준다.

  • 최대건조단위중량은 노상토 재료 특성으로서 매우 중요한 인자이다. 최대건조단위중량을 예측하는 기존의 모델들은 많은 변수를 포함하고 있어 다소 복잡해 보인다 본 논문에서는 사질토의 최대건조단위중량을 예측할 수 있는 간편한 식을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 36개 시료를 체분석하여 입도분포를 구하고, 다짐시험 한 후 그 결과를 회귀 분석하였다. 제안식은 변수로 노상토의 기하평균과 기하표준편차 또는 입도분포계수를 포함한다. 제안식의 검증을 위해 전국16개 지역의 채취 시료에 대한 최대건조단위중량의 실측치와 예측치를 비교한 결과 잘 맞는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

능동형 케이싱 트리트먼트의 형상 변화가 원심압축기의 공력성능에 미치는 영향 (Geometrical Effects of an Active Casing Treatment on Aerodynamic Performance of a Centrifugal Compressor)

  • In this study, a parametric study on a cavity as casing treatment of a centrifugal compressor has been conducted using three-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations with shear stress transport turbulence model. Two kinds of cavity were applied at choke and surge conditions, respectively, in this work. Inlet and outlet port widths, angle of outlet port, and length of cavity were chosen as the geometric parameters and investigated to find their effects on the aerodynamic performances such as adiabatic efficiency at design mass flow rate and stall margin of the centrifugal compressor. It was found that the aerodynamic performances of the centrifugal compressor were affected considerably by the four geometric parameters. The adiabatic efficiency was hardly changed by the geometric parameters, excepts for the angle of outlet port. With an increase in the angle of outlet port, the adiabatic efficiency and the stall margin decreased. The stall margin was more sensitive to the outlet port width than to the other geometric parameters. And, with a decrease in the outlet port width, the stall margin increased by 2% compared to that of the reference.
