  • The study of Web GUI(Graphic User Information) system for Virtual Reality System is mainly performed on effective methodology which transform real world data to computing world data. MGIS(Marine Geographic Information System) has its own target on reliable data service by acquisition of geometric information using accurate measurement and graphical visualization. This type of raw data visualization can be built without software tools, yet is incredibly useful for interpreting and communicating data. Even simple visualizations can aid in the interpretation of complex 3D relationships that are frequently encountered in the geosciences. The Virtual Reality Modeling Language provides an easy way for geoscientists to construct complex visualizations that can be viewed with free software. This study propose a three dimensional Web GUI system using MGIS-based three dimensional data models and virtual imaging system. Finally, we design a Web GUI system integrating above data models.

  • Recently, Szmidt and Kacprzyk[Fuzzy Sets and Systems 118(2001) 467-477] Proposed a non-probabilistic-type entropy measure for intuitionistic fuzzy sets. It is a result of a geometric interpretation of intuitionistic fuzzy sets and uses a ratio of distances between them. They showed that the proposed measure can be defined in terms of the ratio of intuitionistic fuzzy cardinalities: of F∩F$\^$c/ and F∪F$\^$c/, while applying the Hamming distances. In this note, while applying the Euclidean distances, it is also shown that the proposed measure can be defined in terms of the ratio of some function of intuitionistic fuzzy cardinalities: of F∩F$\^$c/ and F∪F$\^$c/.

  • The ontological status of Newtonian space-time has been debated under the name of substantivalism-relationism controversy. The debates between the two parties are concerned with the nature of existence of space-time. Substantivalism maintains that the points of space-time have existence analogous to material substance. Relationism claims that space-time should be understood as the framework of possible spatio-temporal relations between bodies. Newtonian space is considered as a three dimensional entity in accordance with our geometric common sense. Yet given that the concept of motion is defined as the change of position throughout time, it is possible to interpret space-time as a 4 dimensional entity. In this essay, substantivalist-relationist debate is considered within the context of non-relativistic 4 dimensional space-time theory. This essay attempts to clarify the dispute over the ontology of space-time by elucidating the relationship between the ontology of space-time, motion, and space-time symmetry.

  • Ongoing efforts for improved fracture toughness of engineered cementitious materials address the inherent brittleness of the binding matrix at several different levels of the material's geometric scale through the addition of various types of reinforcing fibers. Crack control is required for crack widths that cover the entire range of the grain size spectrum of the material, and this dictates the requirement of hybrid mixes combining fibers of different size (nano, micro, macro). Use of Carbon Nano-Tubes (CNT) and Carbon Nano-Fibers (CNFs) as additives is meant to extend the crack-control function down to the nanoscale where cracking is believed to initiate. In this paper the implications of enhanced toughness thus attained at the material nanostructure are explored, with reference to the global smeared constitutive properties of the material, through consistent interpretation of the reported experimental evidence regarding the behavior of engineered cementitious products to direct and indirect tension.

  • In this paper, we define a new subclass of k-uniformly starlike functions of order γ (0 ≤ γ < 1) by using certain generalized q-integral operator. We explore geometric interpretation of the functions in this class by connecting it with conic domains. We also investigate q-sufficient coefficient condition, q-Fekete-Szegö inequalities, q-Bieberbach-De Branges type coefficient estimates and radius problem for functions in this class. We conclude this paper by introducing an analogous subclass of k-uniformly convex functions of order γ by using the generalized q-integral operator. We omit the results for this new class because they can be directly translated from the corresponding results of our main class.

  • This study classified spatial distribution patterns of vegetated bars in the Naesungcheon Stream, defined universally applicable planar geometric variables, and quantified characteristics of dominant vegetated bar distribution forms. The analysis identified four primary types of spatial distribution, with two types (vegetated alternate/point bars and vegetated floodplains with single or multi-vegetated bars) accounting for more than 90% of the study area. Study results indicated that relatively large vegetated bars tended to be widely spaced or distributed in combination with multiple smaller vegetated bars that were overlapped in the Naesungcheon stream. Quantified spatial distribution characteristics of vegetated bars derived from this study could be used as essential basis information for vegetation management in rivers similar to the Naesungcheon Stream. Additionally, analysis results for planar geometric variables and spatial distribution forms are expected to facilitate experimental designs that mimic river conditions in flood management and ecohydraulic studies, contributing to the interpretation of complex characteristics of interactions between vegetated bars, flow, and bed changes.

  • Recently, the research of the analysis of the crime spatial is increased by using the computer information technology and GIS (Geometric Information System) in order to prevent the urban crime so as to increase the urbanization rate. In this paper, a probability map formed by the raster is organized by the quantification of crime risk per the cell using the region property of the urban spatial information in the static environment. Also, a map of the risk probability is constructed based on the relative risk by the region property, the relative risk by the facility, the relative risk by the woody plant and the river, and so on. And, this integrated risk probability map is calculated by averaging the individual cell risk applied to the climatic influence and the seasonal factor. And, a probability map of the overall risk is generated by the interpretation key of the crime occurrence relative risk index, and so, this information is applied to the probability map quantifying the occurrence crime pattern. And so, in this paper, a methodology of the modeling and the simulation that this crime risk probability map is modified according to the passage of time are proposed.

  • Growing urban areas modify patterns of local land use and land cover. Land use changes associated with urban expansion. One way to understand and document land use change and urbanization is to establish benchmark maps compiled from satellite imagery. Old satellite Imagery is useful data to extract urban information. CORONA is a photo satellite reconnaissance program used from 1960 to 1972 and its imagery was declassified and has been available to the public since 1995. Since CORONA images are collected with panoramic cameras, several types of geometric distortions are involved. In this study we proposed mathematical modeling method which use modified collinearity equations. After the geometric modeling, we mosaicked images. We can successfully extract urban boundaries using GLCM method and visual interpretation in CORONA (1972) and SPOT (1995) imagery and detect urban changes in Seoul quantitatively.

  • In numerical control (NC) machining, a machining error in equipment generally occurs for a variety of reasons. If there is a change in direction in the NC code, the characteristics of the automatic acceleration or deceleration function cause an overlap of each axis of the acceleration and deceleration zones, which in turn causes a shift in the actual processing path. Many studies have been conducted for error calibration of the edge as caused by automatic acceleration or deceleration in NC machining. This paper describes a geometric interpretation of the shape and processing characteristics of the operating NC device. The paper then describes a way to determine a feedrate that achieves the desired tolerance by using linear and parabolic profiles. Experiments were conducted by the validate equations using a three-axis NC machine. The results show that the machining errors were smaller than the machine resolution. The results also clearly demonstrate that the NC machine with the developed system can successfully predict machining errors induced with a change in direction.

  • The MICE industry is a new industry that combines corporate meetings, intensive tours, conventions and exhibitions. The convention (the international conference itself) is a conception born from the interpretation of multiple industries such as conferences, incentive tourism, exhibitions and fairs. It is therefore necessary to develop products that can contribute to the revitalization of the MICE industry. We will participate in globalization era trends by developing original design with unique color sense as well as traditional beauty and elegance that can represent the Korean Wave in order to develop high value-added fashion cultural products. We examine the formative characteristics of Chogakbo and apply them to the harmony of geometrical characteristics and colors. The morphological characteristics and sewing method of the Korean traditional 'fo' were also used for shirt designs. It is a fashion cultural product that applies to the Korean Cheokagbo design as well as maintains a basic aloha shirt design that can be worn by everyone (regardless of gender and age) to make it globally acceptable. We used a simple and interesting geometric configuration of the surface represented by the surface composition of the patchwork as well as proposed a design costume by 3D clothing simulation work. The research results can be used as basic data for the domestic fashion market and cultural goods market.
