SWAT을 이용한 최상류 소유역 토양침식 평가: 안성 월동저수지 유역을 대상으로 (Evaluation of Soil Erosion in Small Mountainous Watersheds Using SWAT Model: A Case Study of the Woldong Catchment, Anseong)

  • Successful sediment management at the watershed scale requires an understanding of the erosion, transport and sedimentation processes at the specific site scale. However, studies on the sediment runoff characteristics in a small uppermost watershed, which serves as a sediment supply function, are very rare. Therefore, this study attempted to investigate the fluctuations in major sediment supply areas and sediment runoff in the uppermost mountain small watershed, and for this purpose, ArcSWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tools with GIS interface) was applied to the Woldong reservoir catchment located in Gosam-myeon, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. The model results were manually calibrated using the monitoring data of the Woldong reservoir sedimentation rate from 2005 to 2007. It was estimated that annual average of 34.4 tons/year of sediment was discharged from the Woldong reservoir basin. This estimate almost coincided with the monitoring data of the Woldong reservoir during the low flow period but tended to be somewhat underestimated during the high flow period. Although the SWAT model does not fully reflect the erosion process of gully and in-channel, this underestimation is probably due to the spatial connectivity of sediment transport and the storage and reactivation of the sediment being transported. Most of the forested hillslopes with a well-developed organic horizon were evaluated as having a low risk of erosion, while the places with the highest risk of erosion were predicted to be distributed in the logged area with some weeds or shrubs (classified as pasture) with relatively steeper slopes, and in the bare land. The results of this study are expected to be useful in developing strategies for sediment control and reservoir management.

GOSAT 기반의 동북아시아 CO2 분포도에 적용된 크리깅 기법의 비교평가 (Comparative Evaluation among Different Kriging Techniques applied to GOSAT CO2 Map for North East Asia)

  • The GOSAT (Greenhouse gases Observing SATellite) data provide new opportunities the most regionally complete and up-to-date assessment of $CO_2$. However, in practice, GOSAT records often suffer from missing data values mainly due to unfavorable meteorological condition in specific time periods of data acquisition. The aim of this research was to identify optimal spatial interpolation techniques to ensure the continuity of $CO_2$ from samples taken in the North East Asia. The accuracy among ordinary kriging (OK), universal kriging (UK) and simple kriging (SK) was compared based on the combined consideration of $R^2$ values, Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Mean Error (ME) for variogram models. Cross validation for 1312 random sampling points indicate that the (UK) kriging is the best geostatistical method for spatial predictions of $CO_2$ in the East Asia region. The results from this study can be useful for selecting optimal kriging algorithm to produce $CO_2$ map of various landscapes. Also, data users may benefit from a statistical approach that would allow them to better understand the uncertainty and limitations of the GOSAT sample data.

친환경 해양관광시설 조성을 위한 관련 제도에 대한 검토 - 도서지역 골프장입지의 지형, 지질 특수성을 중심으로 - (A Study of Relevant System for Developing Eco-friendly Maritime Resort - Focused on Geographical and Geological Characteristics of Golf Courses in Islands Region -)

  • A complex maritime resort combined marina and with course of Korea is required to improve international tourism competitiveness by taking advantage of her environmental favorable circumstances. The development of tourism, however, is focused on land-oriented that incurred lower tourism efficiency and international tourism competitiveness. In addition, the regulation of "Preliminary environmental assessment for golf courses" by the Ministry of Environment is emphasized on land geography and geology that can cause damage of tourist attractions in an island region. In particular, the development of 6th or 7th ridges in mountainous island region within 2km from the sea, that holds scenic and academic value, can go against environment-friendly by geographical and geological damage. According to the regulation for consultation for golf courses and forestry is to preserve regional ecosystem over 6th ridge, but it cannot be applicable to island region because that can form excessive slopes where marine ecosystem is required to be maintained. It, therefore, can be desirable that the development of over 6th ridge in an island region. It is suggested that continuous comparative studies of geographical and geological characteristics between land and island region will be carried on to establish feasible and reasonable development model so that balanced development of land and island, and versatile international environment-friendly maritime resort can be achieved and developed.

  • 남북한의 불안정한 군사적 갈등과 충돌이 계속되고 있는 지금 우리에게는 북한의 군사력을 파악하고 비교 평가하며, 부족한 부분에 대해 군사력 증강을 통해 대비해나가는 과정이 반드시 필요하다. 하지만 한반도의 군사균형(또는 군사비교)분석을 위해서는 단순한 콩알세기 식의 전투력에 대한 양적비교 뿐만 아니라 전투력의 질적비교, 그리고 군사작전 수행능력, 국가의 전쟁수행능력과 같은 넓은 범위까지도 포함할 수 있는 보다 넓은 시각에서의 군사력 평가가 이루어져야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 총괄평가(Net Assessment) 방법을 활용하여 남북한 재래식 군사력 가운데서도 수상함 중심의 해군력을 유형적 군사력(병력·장비)의 양적/질적 비교와 무형의 변수(해양/해군전략, 지리 등) 의 비교를 통해 상대적 전투력을 종합 비교하고, 전략적 비대칭 요소를 식별 및 분석하고자 한다.

GIS기법을 이용한 백두산 화산재해 종합평가 연구 (A Study on Integrated Assessment of Baekdu Mountain Volcanic Aisaster risk Based on GIS)

  • 2014년 에콰도르의 툰구라와 화산폭발, 2010년 아이슬란드 에이야프야틀라이외쿠틀 화산폭발 등과 같이 최근 화산활동으로 인한 재해피해가 증가하고 있으며 이에 대한 대책마련이 시급한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 현재 폭발 위험성이 높은 활화산 중 하나인 백두산을 대상으로 객관적 관측자료와 과학적인 방법에 근거하여 재해위험지역 분석을 실시하였다. 첫 번째로 중국학자 Liu Ruoxin의 연구에 근거하여 1215(${\pm}15$)년 백두산 화산 대폭발 화산재해 데이터를 참조하여 백두산지역의 지진관측자료와 화산지역 형태변화 관측자료, 화산지역 유체지구화학관측자료, 사회경제 통계데이터를 이용해 재해유발요소, 잠재적인 재해유발환경, 피해대상의 취약성을 종합적으로 평가하였다. 평가결과를 토대로 대상지역에 대한 백두산화산재해위험등급분포도를 산출하였으며, 그 결과 백두산화산재해위험등급을 4단계로 체계화하였다. 분석결과 백두산화산재해위험등급은 중심부에서 주변으로 갈수록 점차 등급이 낮아지는 것으로 분석되었으며 1,2급 위험지역은 화산폭발 시 위험도와 피해가 클 것으로 예상되는 고위험지역으로, 3,4급 위험 지역은 화산재해위험이 상대적으로 낮은 지역으로 나타났다. 또한 같은 강도의 화산재해요소의 작용하에서는 연구지역의 서쪽지역이 받는 위험성이 동쪽지역보다 높은데 이는 비교적 낮은 잠재적인 재해유발환경의 안정성과 높은 피해대상 취약성에 의해 결정됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

공간적 다기준평가 기법을 이용한 도시의 삶의 질 분석 (A Spatial Multicriteria Analysis Approach to Urban Quality of Life Assessment)

  • 도시의 삶의 질 분석에 대한 화소기반 기법은 복잡성이라는 조건 하에서의 공간의사결정문제로 간주될 수 있다. 왜냐하면, 도시의 삶의 질 분석은 상이한 가중치가 부여된 여러 개의 평가기준에 기반을 두고 높은 혹은 낮은 수준의 삶의 질을 가진 지역을 도시공간에서 탐색하기 때문이다. 이러한 도시의 삶의 질 분석에는 측정단위가 다른 여러 개의 평가기준들의 부적절한 스케일링, 평가자의 판단에 있어서 비구조적인 주관성 그리고 래스터 GIS환경에서 대량의 데이타 처리 등과 같은 어려움이 있다. 도시의 삶의 질 분석에 있어서 이러한 비구조적 문제를 해결하기 위한 대안적인 접근방법의 개발이 필요하다. 이러한 점에서, 본 연구는 래스터 GIS 환경에서 도시의 삶의 질을 평가하기 위한 공간적 다기준평가 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 이러한 방법론은 애틀란타 대도시권을 사례로 예시되어진다. 본 연구에서 사용된 방법론은 도시의 삶의 질을 평가하는데 있어서 새로운 대안적인 접근방법으로 제시된다.

  • 본 연구는 경상북도를 사례로 1990년대 말부터 추진한 재래시장 활성화 정책의 효과를 평가해보는데 주된 목적이 있다. 재래시장 활성화를 위해 추진한 시장의 시설현대화와 경영현대화사업의 효과에 대한 정성적 평가결과, 각각 그 효과는 미약한 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 기존의 재래시장 활성화 정책이 재래시장의 공간경쟁력 강화에 대한 고려가 부족하였기 때문으로 보인다. 이에 본 연구에서는 재래시장의 공간경쟁력을 강화하는데 역점을 둔 대안적인 재래시장 활성화 정책을 모색 제안하였다.

  • This paper examined the impacts of the regional developments and dwellers behavior on the Seacoast. Seacoast features a variety of landforms which are created by the action of waves and tidal flows. The coastal landforms are found mainly in the interface between land and sea. Although erosional landforms constitute prominent landscape features as sea stack, sea arch, and rock cliff do, it is nonetheless the depositional features such as beaches, tidal flats, offshore bars, deltas, sanddunes, and coastal plains that have various ramifications for human communities. Among these, beaches and coastal sanddunes are special in that their formation is attributable to the combined action of waves, tidal flows, and winds. The main line of discussion in this dissertation is concerned with the transformation of group of beaches sanddunes along the coastline of Chungcheong-Namdo Province. To some extent, the erosion of coastal dunes has been a global phenomenon. The degradation process occurs most actively when the spring tides attack beaches, berms, and foredunes. Also involved in the transformation of coastal dunes are factors of human agency. The extent, speed, and pattern of their morphological changes are a function of land-use pattern. The reclamation of swale and the exploitation of sands as construction material and silica sand, for example, ruin the feature of coastal dunes.

북한 자연생태계의 생물지리적 특성 (Biogeographic Feature of North Korean Ecosystem)

  • This work aims to collect a biogeographic informations on the biota, alpine ecosystem, nature reserves, forest ecosystem of North Korea, and also to accumulate a basic data on the current situation and problem of the natural ecosystem of North Korea for the preparation of future cooperation and exchange between South and North Koreas. The obtained findings are as follow. First, North Korean biota contains 18,013 species, and consists of 6,710 plant species, including 3,860 species of vascular plants. Secondly, urgent investigation on the biogeographically important arctic-alpine and alpine plants and ecosystem, those are known to be endangered due to environmental change and global warming, is required. Thirdly, the conservations of diverse nature in North Korea are conducted by the introduction of various systems, such as nature preservation region, reserves for plant, animal and sea bird, and natural monuments. Fourthly, out of 9.5 million hectares of forest, one million hectares have already faced forest denudation, thus caused lots of damages for forest ecosystem. Sharp decline of North Korean forest land are due mainly to the expansion of terraced dry-field farming and deforestation. Recovery of denudated forest land should be approached by both South and North Korean sides to solve the problem of shortage of foods and restoration of natural ecosystem of North Korea.

도로밀도에 대한 소하천 유역 기반의 총량규제 기초자료 확보 방안 (Acquisition of Evidential Information to Control Total Volume of Road Density per Tributary Watershed)

  • This paper is primarily intended to propose a new concept of "aggregate control of road density" which is defined as the area-wide road surface per watershed area. An empirical study for experimental sites was conducted to confirm how a standard GIS technology can be used to assist in estimating the road density in terms of total volume threshold control. Guidelines for a replicable methodology are presented to provide a strong theoretical basis for the standardization of factors involved in the estimation of the road space threshold; the meaningful classification of road types, delination of watershed boundary, interpretation for distribution trends of road density etc. A variety of visual maps using overlay analysis can be generated over large areas quickly and easily to show the fact that some degree of road space already exists in the experimental sites. They could be used as an evidence to limit further construction of road network in comparison with other tributary watershed. It is anticipated that this research output could be used as a valuable reference to confirm the potential of introducing the new concept of "site specific road density" to support more scientific and objective decision-making in the process of road construction project.
