희박연소 안정화를 위한 가스유동장 조건에 관한 연구 (Optimal Gas-Flow Conditions for Stabilization of Lean-Burn Combustion)

  • Gas flow characteristics within the cylinder is important factors in impoving lean combustion stability. This paper shows the effects of various flow fields generated by a swirl control valve(SCV) on combustion process in a 4-valve spark ignition engine. An impulse swirl/tumble meter was used to elucidation the steady-state flow characteristics, and a rotating grating type LDV was developed to measure the mean velocity and tunbulence intensity in relation to the crank angle. These methodologies were applied to clarify the correlation between gas flow characteristics and combustion stability at a lean air fuel ratio. An analysis of the correlation revealed the gas flow conditions required to optimize a lean-burn system.

수소 충전소 계량오차 검증 설비 설치를 위한 위험성 분석 사례 연구 (A Case Study on the Risk Analysis for the Installation of Measurement Error Verification Facility in Hydrogen Refueling Station)

  • 수소 충전소를 이용한 에너지원의 상거래에 있어 부정확한 계량에 의한 과 충전 등의 사고 예방과 정확한 계량을 통한 수소 상거래의 투명성 확보를 위해서는 높은 정확도의 유량계가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 코리올리 방식 유량계 시작품을 개발하였으며, 계량 성능 검증을 위하여 기존에 운영 중인 충전소를 대상으로 공정변경을 통한 계량 성능 비교 실험 중 발생할 수 있는 사고의 예방을 위하여 위험성 평가를 수행하였다. 실증실험용 계량설비 설치를 위한 공정 변경 구간을 정의하고 HAZOP을 실시하였다. 또한 실증 실험 중 밸브오 개방 예방 등 실험자 안전성 확보를 위한 JSA도 병행하였다. HAZOP을 통하여 도출된 위험 요소를 개선하기 위한 방안을 수립하였으며 JSA를 통해 인적오류를 최소화하고 작업자의 안전성 확보할 수 있는 작업 절차를 수립하였다. 이와 같은 위험성 평가 결과를 반영하여 계량시스템 설치를 위한 설계 변경 및 시스템 제작을 완료하였으며 개발된 계량기 시작품의 성능비교 실험을 통해 안전성을 확인할 수 있었다. 개발된 시작품 유량계는 70MPa의 운전 조건에서 총 30회 유량 측정 실험 결과 평균 오차는 -1.58% ~ 3.96%로 나타났다. 이와 같은 계량오차는 상업용으로 설치 운영 중인 유량계와 동등 수준의 성능을 가진 것으로 분석되었다.

열선을 이용한 혼합기체의 농도와 유량의 측정 (Measurement of Gas Concentration and flow Rate Using Hot Wire)

  • A measurement device for gas concentration and flow rate using hot wire is developed for the utilization in industrial applications. The device has two cells of measuring and reference, and a bridge circuit is installed to detect electric current through the hot wire in the cells. An amplification of the signal and conversion to digital output are conducted for the on-line measurement with a personal computer. The flow rate of air and carbon dioxide gas is separately measured for the performance examination of the device. Also, the concentration of air-carbon dioxide and carbon dioxide-argon mixtures is determined for the same evaluation. The outcome of the performance test indicates that the accuracy and stability of the device is satisfactory for the purpose of industrial applications.

나선형 흡기포트의 유동특성이 과급식 디젤엔진의 성능 및 배출가스에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Flow Characteristics of Helical Intake Port on the Performance and Emission in a Turbocharged DI Diesel Engine.)

  • This study is to consider that the helical intake port flow and fuel injection system have effects on the characteristics of engine performance and emissions in a turbocharged DI diesel engine of the displacement 9.4L. The swirl ratio for ports was modified by hand-working and measured by impulse torque swirl meter, For the effects on performance and emission, the brake torque, BSFC were measured by engine dynamometer and NOx, smoke were by gas analyzer and smoke meter. As a result of steady flow test, when the valve eccentricity ratio are closed to cylinder wall, the flow coefficient and swirl intensity are increased, And as the swirl is increased, the mean flow coefficient is decreasing, whereas the gulf factor is increasing. Also, through engine test its can be expected to meet performance and emission by the following applied parameter; the swirl ratio is 2.43, injection timing is BTDC $13^{\circ}$CA and compression is 15.5.

초임계 영역에서 수평관내 $CO_2$ 열전달과 압력강하 (The heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of $CO_2$ during supercritical region in a horizontal tube)

  • The heat transfer coefficients during gas cooling process of carbon dioxide in a horizontal tube were investigated. The experiments are conducted without oil in the refrigerant loop. The main components of the refrigerant loop are a receiver, a variable-speed pump, a mass flow meter, a pre-heater, and a gas cooler(test section). The water loop consists of a variable-speed pump, an isothermal tank, and a flow meter. The gas cooler is a counterflow heat exchanger by cooled water flowing in the annulus. The $CO_2$ flows in the horizontal stainless steel tube. which is 9.53mm in O.D. and 7.75mm in I.D. The gas cooler is 6 [m] in length. which is divided into 12 subsections, respectively. The experimental conditions considered in the study are following range of variables : refrigerant temperature is between 20 and $100^{\circ}C$. mass fluxes ranged from 200 to 400kg/($m^2$.s), average pressure varied from 7.5 to 10.0MPa. The main results were summarized as follows : The friction factors of $CO_2$ in the gas cooler show a relatively good agreement with those predicted by Blasius' correlation. The local heat transfer coefficient in the gas cooler has compared with most of correlations, which are the famous ones for forced convection heat transfer of turbulent flow. The results show that the local heat transfer coefficient of gas cooler agrees well with the correlation by Bringer-Smith except that at the region near pseudo critical temperature. while that at the near pseudo critical temperature is higher than the correlation.

Numerical and Experimental Analyses of a Hot-Wire Gas Flowmeter

  • A measurement device for gas flow rate using hot-wire module is developed for the utilization in low-accuracy industrial applications. The module has three wires of measuring and heating, and a bridge circuit is installed to detect electric current through the wire in the module. An amplification of the signal and conversion to digital output are conducted for the online measurement with a personal computer. In addition, temperature distribution in the module is numerically analyzed to examine the measured outcome from the module experiment. The flow rate of air and carbon dioxide gas is separately measured for the performance examination of the device. The experimental relation of measurement and flow agrees with the prediction from the numerical analysis. The outcome of the performance test indicates that the accuracy and reproducibility of the module is satisfactory for the purpose of industrial applications.

초등학교 과학과 이산화탄소 발생실험의 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study About Improvement of Experiment of Carbon Dioxide Production on Elementary School Science Textbook)

  • The purpose of this study was to find the difficulties and problems in the carbon dioxide production experiment and to suggest the device for the improvement. Many students have misconception for the smell of carbon dioxide. I found that the smell of carbon dioxide of producting through the experiment didn't concern with the quantity of calcium carbonate. I certificated that the smell of carbon dioxide was related with the concentration of hydrochloric acid. I built two trap applicaing suction in the gas production device to exclude fully the smell of carbon dioxide. So the smell of carbon dioxide was not present by passing the two trap. To find the ideal experimental conditions I perform the experiment step by step. As the result enough carbon dioxide to use for the property experiment was collected under the condition that is 60 mL of 3 molarity hydrochloric acid and 30 g calcium carbonate. I certificated to mesuring flowing quantity of carbon dioxide using the flow meter of carbon dioxide. In the improvement experiment of the property of carbon dioxide, I proposed the experiment device regarding as spreading of the gas and children's interest. To improve the problem of gas production experiment, I proposed the gas certification device using a thread.

  • Emergency shut-on valve was developed to shut off natural gas at the front of a gas meter in the house. The shut-off flow rate and differential pressure of this valve was controlled by adjusting the distance between the spool and magnet. Also the spool shape was an important factor in the performance of this valve. The experimental and computational results will be useful for the design having better performance.

표준유량계법을 적용한 수소 충전소 계량 정확도 평가 (Evaluation of Metering Accuracy of Hydrogen Station Using Master Meter Method)

  • 수소는 차량에 충전 시 급격한 온도변화와 압력상승으로 인해 정확한 충전량의 측정이 어렵다. 수소 인프라 구축을 위하여 상거래 시 민감한 문제가 될 수 있는 충전량 정밀 측정 기술은 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 수소 충전기의 계량 관리를 위한 연구의 일환으로 국내 수소 충전소의 계량정확성 평가를 실시하였다. 실험을 위하여 표준유량계법을 적용한 장비를 제작하고 실제 수소자동차의 충전 환경에서 유량을 측정하였다. 그 결과 평균적으로 10% 내외의 오차가 발생하였으며, 1대 충전 당 수소 손실량은 최대 60g까지 나타나는 것으로 확인되었다.
