In this paper, we will introduce some method about retrieving suitable images to game or adjusting game difficulty in enjoying some contents like mini-game. It will use the technology about extracting color and texture features in content-based image retrieval in image processing. So in card game, it select card image automatically. And by controlling seed image number, we can adjusting game difficulty. Through the experiment, it shows that our image retrieval method can retrieve more useful images that can be used in game than others.
This study examined how the use of co-game play, which implies specific behavioral condition, changes the influence and direction of the sensation seeking, gender, and identity stability, which are predictors on game addiction. The results of this study are as follows. First, sensation seeking had no significant effect on game addiction. However, the main effect of co-play on game addiction was confirmed. Second, the moderating effects of gender on co-play and game addiction were significant. It indicates that co-play has a greater impact on game addiction in female than male.
This study was accomplished to examine the relationship between the videogame player's perceived congruity and intention to game use, and to investigate the mediating effect of emotion as the psychological factor. Games for the research subject are confined to single player games on console or PC not online or mobile games to rule out human interaction. The results proposed that self and functional congruity have positive impact on intention to game use, and emotion is in the mediating effect of these relationships. Based on the results of the analysis, game producers have some implications for the game which is appropriate for the quality, the gamer's image, and the emotional aspect.

This study was conducted to investigate relationships and gender differences in dietary supplement (DS) and oriental supplement (OS) prevalence as well as anti-doping awareness during training and the game period. Korea National Sport University athletes (343 male and 136 female) participated in this study and completed DS and OS practice and anti-doping awareness questionnaires. Forty-six percent of athletes used DS during the training period, and there was significantly higher DS use in females (53%) compared to males (43%) (P < 0.05). Twenty-eight percent of athletes used OS, and there was significantly higher OS use in females (35%) than males (26%) (P < 0.05) during the training period. The primary reason of DS use was to supply energy both in males (36%) and females (28%). The main reason for male athletes' OS use was to supply energy (41 %). Meanwhile, the reasons for female athletes' OS use were to supply energy (23%), to maintain health (19%), and to improve recovery ability (20%), which showed a significant gender difference (P < 0.05). Athletes rated their perceived degree of satisfaction, perceived importance, and beliefs in efficacy of DS and OS use all over 50% during the training period, and no gender differences were detected. In a comparison between athletes educated about anti-doping (at least more than one time) and non-received athletes, DS and OS use during the training period was 2.30 (1.47-3.60) and 1.71 (1.03-2.82), respectively. DS and OS use immediately before the game period was 2.38 (1.50-3.80) and 3.99 (1.20-13.28), respectively.Elite athletes' anti-doping education was highly related to increased DS use during the training period and immediately before the game. Although elite athletes use various DS and OS during the training period and before the game period, doping education for elite athletes is related with DS and OS use during the training period and before the game.
The movie and game are on the center of entertainment industry. The OSMU(One Source Multi Use) method of two media is the most conspicuous in sharing stories. Particularly, the storytelling of a game emphasizes a harmonization between the elements that can be used for a game on narrative point of view(the traditional plot like novel, film and etc.) and the elements reflecting the interactivity, the characteristic of a game. In the gaming made with a film and filming made with a game, the main element of successful storytelling is the story value. In this paper, we describe through the case analysis of the gaming made with a film and filing made with a game in three aspects based on hero's journey steps of Joseph Campbell and $Gr\acute{e}mas's$ actant model theory, which they are the story event, the type and relation of characters, and the complication type between the characters. we, consequently, believe that the compatible storytelling between two media (film and game) and the setting way of characters could be made with the successful diversification in OSMU.
Recently, as one method of the game manipulation, physical interactive game is increasing, which controls the program by direct human movement. Tangible interface for physical interactive game implementation can control virtual model directly through real world object. A digital desk, one of the tangible interface, offers the interface that human can manipulate virtual object directly, by making projection screen on real world desk as computer display device. In this paper, we implement "Battle Region" game in the form of tangible interface, which can offer game users an efficient and amusing experiences by the use of physical interactive game. Traditional game cannot pursuit the diversity of game background contents but our game can do it through Map image projection. From this, game provider can supply the diversity of choice and users ran set up the difficulty of game. Therefore, our implemented game can offer users an efficient and amusing experiences by making game user's challenge and satisfaction maximum.
The video game industry is obsessed by the perception of "Next Generation Game". Appearance of the next generation game console has required the video game industry to renovate new technologies for their entire production. This tendency increases a huge mount of production cost. Game companies have to hire more designers to create a solid concept, artists to generate more detailed content, and programmers to optimize for more complex hardware. All those high cost efforts provide great locking games, but the potential of next generation game consoles does not end there. They also bring possibilities of the new types of gameplay. Next generation game contains a much larger pool of memories for every video game elements. The entire video game used to use roughly 800 animation files, but next generation game is pushing scripted event well over 4000 animation flies. That allows a lot of very unique custom animation for pretty much every action in the game. It gives game players much more vivid and realistic appreciation of the virtual world. Players are not being able to see any recycling of the same animation over and over when they are playing next generation game. The main purpose of this thesis is that defines the concept of next generation game and analyzes new animation-pipeline to be used in the shooter games.
With the development of ICT technology, the game industry is growing rapidly. However, due to the excessive play of the game, there are cases where normal life is difficult. It is necessary to study the diagnosis and countermeasures against such game addiction. This paper study a system for diagnosing game addiction based on game usage information of game users. In order to develop a game addiction diagnostic system, this study classifies game addiction and abuse users and collects and models log information in real game environment. In addition, the addiction and good use model of game users was used as a knowledge to diagnose the addiction of new game users. Through the experiment, we could confirm the meaningful results. Also, according to the result of the diagnosis, the service such as SMS and reporting was suggested.
This study was conducted to review the usage behavior of mobile social network games that are attracting attention as a new growth engine in the game market. To that end, a survey was conducted on 250 male and female university students. The result of the study showed that first, the relationship formation motivation and seeking fun during leisure times in association with mobile social network games had a positive effect on game attitudes. Second, the relationship formation motivation had a positive effect on the continuous use intention. Third, the relationship formation motivation and the fun-seeking motivation had a positive effect on word-of-mouth recommendation, while the relationship formation motivation and advertisement recommendation motivation had a positive effect on the intention to recommendation online formats. Fourth, the attitude towards mobile social network games had a positive effect on the continuous use intention. Lastly, the attitude towards mobile social network games had a positive effect on only the intention to recommendation through word-of-mouth. This study is expected to provide useful and basic data for the development of quality game content that will cater to users' needs.

The imperative programming language like C language is Generally used when we develop the game program. But there is the need of much effort and time on low-level-details in order to express the game program that has complicated and varied motion. I will try to take measures to use the pure functional language, Haskell as the method of simplifying complex game program. The pure functional programming language like Haskell has excellence of technology and it has become specific in many domains. In this paper I'll discuss the difference between The two languages and merits and demerits in the game development aspect. Also discuss the possibility of putting Haskell to practical use in the future.
