  • The main objective of this research is to utilize the parallel Fuzzy arithmetic for constructing ocean bathymetry from polarized remote sensing data such as TOPSAR image. In doing so, the parallel library for Fuzzy arithmetic has been developed. Three- dimensional surface modeling consisted of Volettra model, non-linear model which construct a global topological structure between the data points, used to support an approximation of real surface. The output of the parallel library was a digital terrain model for bathymetry along the coastal waters of Kuala Terengganu Malaysia. This paper describes the principles behind the Fuzzy algorithm, indicates for what type of application it might be useful, notes on the accuracy and gives an example of an application.

  • Sliding mode is a robust control method and can be applied in the presence of model uncertainties and parameter disturbances. But there ane problems in sliding mode controller. Hard in modeling system parameters, chattering, etc. In this paper, new sliding controller design method is proposed for solving the above problems using fuzzy sliding mode contros(FSMC) scheme are considered. we propose that fuzzy logic system are used to approximate unknown system functions in desinging the SMC of Inverted Pendulum. In the method, a fuzzy logic system is utilized to approximate the unknown function f of the nonlinear system. As a simulation result of applying the inverted pendulum, the sliding controller shows good robust characteristics.

A Fuzzy Self-Tuning PID Controller with a Derivative Filter for Power Control in Induction Heating Systems

  • The Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller is still the most widespread control strategy in the industry. PID controllers have gained popularity due to their simplicity, better control performance and excellent robustness to uncertainties. This paper presents the optimal tuning of a PID controller for domestic induction heating systems with a series resonant inverter for controlling the induction heating power. The objective is to design a stable and superior control system by tuning the PID controller with a derivative filter (PIDF) through Fuzzy logic. The paper also compares the performance of the Fuzzy PIDF controller with that of a Ziegler-Nichols PID controller and a fine-tuned PID controller with a derivative filter. The system modeling and controllers are simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK. The results obtained show the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed Fuzzy PID controller with a derivative filter.

  • The purposes of this study are to analyze risks of construction step BIM(Building Information Modeling) applied project and improve it. Recently, construction industry has emphasized an importance of BIM for efficient utilization of various information. In the whole life cycle of huge construction project, there are cases introducing BIM and projects applying BIM are gradually increased to the work of construction step. However, the process of communication is not established, so the contents of BIM process of construction step are just showing rough fields and concepts of working utilization, so it's restrictive to utilize BIM actively on constructions step. Through results of case study in this research, constructor risks of BIM business should be efficiently treated with Fuzzy-FMEA that is more precise than existing danger evaluation.

  • In this paper we propose a new stability theorem and a robust stability condition for linguistic fuzzy model systems in state space. First we define a stability in linear sense. After representing the fuzzy model by a system with disturbances, A necessary and sufficient condition for the stability is derived. This condition is proved to be a sufficient condition of the fuzzy model. The Q in the Lyapunov equation is iteratively adjusted by an gradient-based algorithm to improve its stability test. Finally, stability robustness bounds of a system having modeling error is derived. An example is also included to show that the stability test is powerful.

  • This study is aimed at the development of a runoff forecasting model to solve the uncertainties occurring in the process of rainfall-runoff modeling and improve the modeling accuracy of the stream runoff forecasting, The study area is the downstream of Naeseung-chun. Therefore, time-dependent data was obtained from the Wolpo water level gauging station. 11 and 2 out of total 13 flood events were selected for the training and testing set of model. The model performance was improved as the measuring time interval$(T_m)$ was smaller than the sampling time interval$(T_s)$. The Neuro-Fuzzy(NF) and TANK models can give more accurate runoff forecasts up to 4 hours ahead than the Feed Forward Multilayer Neural Network(FFNN) model in standard above the Determination coefficient$(R^2)$ 0.7.

  • Although the small and medium ports are actually competing with various strategies, the definition and structural understanding of small and medium ports are not known very much. Therefore this study has launched from this fact, and has the objective of obtaining the structural model for increasing shippers' attraction of small and medium ports. The process began by abstracting the components that composed the success factors through recent research, and grouping it by FA(Factor Analysis) method. Also, by using the FSM(Fuzzy Structural Modeling) method to understand the structure of the grouped components, and the structural model for increasing shippers' attraction of small and medium ports was able to obtain as the result. When analyzing the obtained structural model, easiness of shipment, connection to hubport and efficiency of hinterland network came out to be the most important component groups.

  • 본 논문은 중소기업의 CEO의 핵심역량 24개를 FSM을 이용하여 구조분석을 하고 5개의 그룹으로 분류하였다. 또한 CEO의 업무별로 CEO의 업무능력과 핵심역량과의 관련성을 파악하기 위해 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 논문의 특징은 중소기업 CEO의 역량에 대한 분류와 구조화를 통한 층별 상호간의 관계를 알 수 있고, CEO의 업무능력에 무슨 역량그룹이 영향을 주는지를 알 수 있게 해준다.

  • 제어를 할 때 비선형 시스템을 선형화 하는 것이 중요하다. 선형화를 하기위해는 퍼지 모델을 사용하는데 그 중 바퀴형 역진자 시스템은 비선형 시스템의 파라미터 값을 모두 알아도 T-S퍼지를 기반으로 하여 선형제어를 사용하는데 어려움이 있다. 그래서 Identification을 함으로써 바퀴형 역진자 시스템을 좀 더 편리하게 T-S 퍼지 모델로 만들 수 있다.

  • Evaluation of the implementation and performance of a firm's green supply chain management (GSCM) is an ongoing process. Balanced scorecard is a multi-criteria evaluation concept that highlights implementation and performance measures. The literature on the framework is abundant literature but scarce on how to build a hierarchical framework under uncertainty with dependence relations. Hence, this study proposes a hybrid approach, which includes applied interpretive structural modeling to build a hierarchical structure and uses the analytic network process to analyze the dependence relations. Additionally, this study applies the fuzzy set theory to determine linguistic preferences. Twenty dependence criteria are evaluated for a GSCM implemented firm in Taiwan. The result shows that the financial aspect and life cycle assessment are the most important performance and weighted criteria.
