Design and Implementation of a Boundary Matching System Supporting Partial Denoising for Large Image Databases

  • In this paper, we design and implement a partial denoising boundary matching system using indexing techniques. Converting boundary images to time-series makes it feasible to perform a fast search using indexes even on a very large image database. Thus, using this converting method we develop a client-server system based on the previous partial denoising research in the GUI(graphical user interface) environment. The client first converts a query image given by a user to a time-series and sends denoising parameters and the tolerance with this time-series to the server. The server identifies similar images from the index by evaluating a range query, which is constructed using inputs given from the client and sends the resulting images to the client. Experimental results show that our system provides many intuitive and accurate matching results.

  • Abstract. An area of particularly rapid technological growth in the last 15 years has been medical imaging (conventional X-ray, ultrasound, X-ray computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). As the number and complexity of imaging studies rises, it becomes ever more important to distribute these images and the associated diagnoses in a timely and cost-effective fashion. The purpose of this paper is to describe the requirements for a future digital radiology system which will efficiently handle the large volume of images that generated, add new functionality to improve productivity of physicians, technologists, and other health care providers, and provide enough flexibility to allow the system to grow as medical image technology grows.

  • The continuous development of virtual reality technology in the last five years has brought about a big change in the future film industry. Interactive VR movies using virtual reality technology in movies showed the result of increasing the immersion of the audience due to the characteristics of interaction. This will provide a unique opportunity for a new experience of immersion in various forms of cinema in the near future. In this paper, the interaction of narrative VR movies was studied as an example of the movie , which won the [The Best VR Experience Award] at the Venice International Film Festival, In future development, improve the scene transition, Dizziness, Ways of interaction and other questions, let the audience increase the sense of participation, immersion and curiosity when watching movies, and make watching movies a more interesting thing in life.

Online-Based Local Government Image Typology: A Case Study on Jakarta Provincial Government Official YouTube Videos

  • The Jakarta Provincial Government utilizes the YouTube channel to interact with citizens and enhance transparency. The purpose of this study is to explore online perceptions of local government image perceived by online audiences through the YouTube platform. The concepts of organizational image and credibility in the political image are adapted to analyze online public perceptions on the Jakarta Provincial Government image. Using the video summarization approach on Three hundred and forty-six official YouTube videos, which were uploaded from 1 March 2016 to 31 May 2016, and content analysis of Eight thousand two hundred and thirty-seven comments, this study shows both political and bureaucratic image emerge concurrently in the Jakarta Provincial Government case. The typology model is proposed to describe and explain the four image variations that occurred in the case study. Practical recommendations are suggested to manage YouTube channel as one of the social media used in the local government context.

  • Self is well·expressed by clothing, so self-image can be an effective variable for conducting clothing·behavior studies. But there ate some problems in clothing and self-image researches. This paper will be a clue to discuss these problems. The contents of this study are as follows. (1) The notion of self-image is compared with self-concept, and according to this work, self concept comprehends the evaluative properties in addition to self-image illustration. In tai.; part, the problem in translating the terminologies, 'self-concept' and 'self-image', are also discussed. (2) The aspects of self-image are explored, thus physical and social-psychological aspects are determined. (3) Two sub-dimensions of self-image ate recommended relating to clothing researches: actual versus ideal and intrinsic versus phenomenal. (4) Some comments for future studies ate added. It is needed to investigate the relationships of other social- psychological variables and self-image in clothing department.

  • The desire for a technology that can mechanically acquire 2D images starting with the manual method of drawing has been making possible a wide range of modern image-based technologies and applications over a period. Moreover, this trend of the utilization of image-related technology as well as image-based information is likely to continue. Naturally, as like other technology areas, the function that humans produce and utilize by using images needs to be automated by using computing-based technologies. Surprisingly, technology using images in the future will be able to discover knowledge that humans have never known before through the information-related process that enables new perception, far beyond the scope of use that human has used before. Regarding this trend, the manipulation and configuration of massively distributed image database system is strongly demanded. In this paper, we discuss image identifier production methods based on the utilization of the image hashing technique which especially puts emphasis over an entropy operator.

A Study on the Effect of Storytelling Marketing on Brand Image and Brand Attitude

  • Purpose - This study will investigate and identify the relationship between brand image, brand attitude and intent to purchase based on subjects that have remembered or watched more than one storytelling marketing ad related to airlines. The purpose of the project is to secure market competitiveness by presenting the basis for and use of the marketing strategy using storytelling, which can capture the goodwill of the aerospace competition market in the future. Research, design, data, and methodology - Prior to the research model and hypothesis testing phase, a verification factor analysis was conducted to assess internal consistency among each measurement item and to ensure reliability and validity of the measurement tool. Further, the organization was assessed for validity by calculating the mean variance estimation (AVE) and the construction concept reliability (CCR) through a positive factor analysis. Hypothesis verification was analyzed through a structural equation model, and each concept set in the hypothesis was entered as a potential variable, and each measurement item was entered as an observation variable. Results - Airline's storytelling marketing has a significant impact on the brand image and two emotional and cognitive responses have been shown to influence the brand image. In addition, airline storytelling marketing has a significant impact on brand attitudes and airline storytelling marketing derived from factor analysis has shown two emotional and cognitive responses to brand attitudes. Conclusions - The parts derived based on the research results show that storytelling marketing has a strong influence on the airline's brand image and attitude, and that it is necessary for airlines to have a brand image and attitude. Also, forming a favorable brand image has a significant impact on brand attitudes. We believe that by presenting basic data to the aviation industry in future research on airline storytelling, we will be able to increase understanding and contribution to development of storytelling marketing in aviation.

  • This paper reviews recent published works dealing with the application of wavelets to image processing based on multiresolution analysis. After revisiting the basics of wavelet transform theory, various applications of wavelets and multiresolution analysis are reviewed, including image denoising, image enhancement, super-resolution, and image compression. In addition, we introduce the concept and theory of quaternion wavelets for the future advancement of wavelet transform and quaternion multiresolution applications.

Immediate solution of EM algorithm for non-blind image deconvolution

  • Due to the uniquely slow convergence speed of the EM algorithm, it suffers form a lot of processing time until the desired deconvolution image is obtained when the image is large. To cope with the problem, in this paper, an immediate solution of the EM algorithm is provided under the Gaussian image model. It is derived by finding the recurrent formular of the EM algorithm and then substituting the results repeatedly. In this paper, two types of immediate soultion of image deconboution by EM algorithm are provided, and both methods have been shown to work well. It is expected that it free the processing time of image deconvolution because it no longer requires an iterative process. Based on this, we can find the statistical properties of the restored image at specific iterates. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method through a simple experiment, and discuss future concerns.

  • 통상적으로 콘크리트 지하 구조물은 수십 년 이상 사용할 수 있도록 설계되지만 최근 들어 구조물 중 상당수가 당초의 기대 수명에 근접하고 있는 실정이다. 그 결과 구조물 고유의 기능이 상실되고 다양한 문제가 야기될 수 있어 신속한점검과 보수가 요구되고 있다. 이를 위해 지금까지는 지하 구조물 유지관리를 위하여 인력 기반의 점검과 보수가 진행되었으나 최근에는 인공지능과 영상 기술의 융합을 통한 객관적인 점검 기술 개발이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 특히 딥러닝을 활용한 영상 인식 기술을 적용하여 지도학습 기반의 콘크리트 균열 탐지 알고리즘 개발에 관한 연구가 다양하게 진행되고 있다. 이러한 연구들은 대부분 지도학습 형태 영상 인식 기술로 많은 양의 데이터를 바탕으로 개발이 되는데, 그 중에도 많은 수의 라벨 영상(Label image)이 요구된다. 이를 확보하기 위해서는 현실적으로 많은 시간과 노동력이 필요한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제를 개선하고자 적대적 학습 기법을 적용하여 균열 영역 탐지 정확도를 평균적으로 0.25% 향상시키는 방법을 기술하고자 한다. 이 적대적 학습은 분할(Segmentation) 신경망과 판별자(Discriminator) 신경망으로 구성되어 있고, 가상의 라벨 영상을 경쟁적인 구조로 생성하여 인식 성능을 높이는 알고리즘이다. 본 논문에서는 이 같은 방법을 활용하여 효율적인 심층 신경망 학습 방법을 제시하였고, 향후에 정확한 균열 탐지에 활용될 것으로 기대한다.
