This study is about architectural design for rural housing block redevelopment for districts with existing residents considering sustainable development. The study suggests development direction focusing on preserving the regional characteristics, and presentation of suburban-style housing complex reflecting on the future tenant's individuality and demand. The preexisting development approach for suburban-style housing complex which was planned by the developer, failed to recognize taste of the future tenants. Profitability being the priority, it also resulted in a serious environmental disruption. In this development however, through a systematic direction for site development and site analysis, conducting surveys through future tenants, attempted for a continuous growth of the community. The study is presented covering the following areas; site's pathway system, nature conservation plan, lot plan, land use, arrangement plan, housing plan and community facility.

In this study, the basic concepts of future housing which can be applicable in the future were established in the change of the various elements such as social conditions, life style and the development of technology, etc. To apply this concepts, the HightEco(High Technology and Ecology) Apartment was presented as a new model. The characteristics of this HighEco Apartment are as follows. 1) 'Intelligent Housing' which are based on high technology and info information. 2）'Ecology Housing' which are based on environmental controls and energy savings. And, according to the analyzed results of the examples of apartment, the guidelines of the technical elements and differential models for the development of HightEco Apartment were presented.

The purpose of this study is to analyze housing expectations and housing preferences of college students' first purchased house for the future. Data was collected through self-administered questionnaires for this study and the samples consisted of 797 college students. This study found that college students preferred a high-rise apartments, a 20-24 pyung (66.0㎡-79.2㎡) house in housing size and relatively new house. The housing features and interior features that college students like to have and expected to have in the first residence were different. Their housing expectations were fairly realistic considering their affordability. College students preferred to furnish video and audio equipments, exercise equipments and ceiling fans. They generally preferred hardwood floorings and decorative moldings and expected to have built-in closet in their master bedrooms. They expected to have linen closets and large mirrors in their bathrooms. They preferred ceramic tile counter tops, wood cabinets, vinyl floorings in their kitchens and they also preferred to use kitchen as a utility.

The purpose of this study is to investigate residents'opinions about Habitat Housing. It is also aimed to influence the future directions of Habitat Housing, by understanding the contents of residents'satisfaction and need of houses and surroundings. Direct interview and questionary methods were used for the survey of residents in housing complexes - 24 households in Kwang-yang and 47 households in Asan. SPSS 10.0 program was used for a statistical analysis. Residents are generally satisfied with the surroundings of housing sites, and with the interior spaces of houses. However, dissatisfactions were surveyed of community facilities, site planning, outdoor space, maintenance system, and veranda design of housing units. This result might be helpful to provide planning and design guidelines for the future Habitat Housing.

The ultimate objective of this research is to develop the technologies for the construction of 100-year housing as the first task for improving housing environments. The technological development of 100-year housing makes it possible to advance construction technologies and part development, to develop long-life housing with durability and Flexibility responding to customers' needs for future living space. At first, for this purpose, the applications according to the types of the Standard Model of Long-life Housing are proposed to respond to the life-cycle of near-future demographic and social structure, and the construction of the Mock-up House execute based on the location selected during the 2nd year and the basic plan. Then the Standard Model of Long-life Housing are advanced and proposed through evaluating the field applicability of the Mock-Up House.

House price prediction is a significant financial decision for individuals working in the housing market as well as for potential buyers. From investment to buying a house for residence, a person investing in the housing market is interested in the potential gain. This paper presents machine learning algorithms to develop intelligent regressions models for House price prediction. The proposed research methodology consists of four stages, namely Data Collection, Pre Processing the data collected and transforming it to the best format, developing intelligent models using machine learning algorithms, training, testing, and validating the model on house prices of the housing market in the Capital, Islamabad. The data used for model validation and testing is the asking price from online property stores, which provide a reasonable estimate of the city housing market. The prediction model can significantly assist in the prediction of future housing prices in Pakistan. The regression results are encouraging and give promising directions for future prediction work on the collected dataset.

Housing price is a key indicator of housing demand. Actual Transaction Price Index of Apartment (ATPIA) released by Korea Appraisal Board is useful to understand the current level of housing price, but it does not forecast future prices. Big data such as the frequency of internet search queries is more accessible and faster than ever. Forecasting future housing demand through big data will be very helpful in housing market. The objective of this study is to develop a forecasting model of ATPIA as a part of forecasting housing demand. For forecasting, a concept of time shift was applied in the model. As a result, the forecasting model with the time shift of 5 months shows the highest coefficient of determination, thus selected as the optimal model. The mean error rate is 2.95% which is a quite promising result.

In modern society, diverse vulnerable population, such as homeless, disabled, elderly and so on, have been prominently appeared with polarization of wealth because of radial biased economic development and urban sprawl. Housing acquisition is a difficult problem for the venerable population to get, so appropriate alternatives should be explored. In USA, under the 'Housing First' principle, supportive housing has been developed as a main alternative. Sharing this alternative experience is very valuable to promote future development including policies. The purpose of this study is to delineate the trend of supportive housing research. This research is conducted by content analysis technique, and data were recent 29 research articles dealing supportive housing, collected from medical service data base where supportive housing research has started and diffused. As results, overall trends and characteristics appeared that the main research field was Psychiatry/Psychology, and mostly, they were correlational research. Mainly, resident type was mentally ill, and the principal research method was secondary data analysis. In general, all the service programs were mostly essential, and the number of congregate housing type appeared dominantly. The modern supportive housing is a social intervention to cope with instability of future housing welfare.

Nowadays great changes arises from the digital environment and technology. And Also, our living environment are changes very rapidly. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics and trends of future housing reference to ubiquitous housing cases in U.S.A, Japan and Korea. From these cases, reorganized ubiquitous-apartment elements are suitable to our housing environment. To search them, it is investigated to 4 ubiquitous housing examples, such as Aware Home, Toyota's PAPI, samsung raemian's housing gallery and GS E&C's apartment. In this study, we could get types and characteristics and planning elements of ubiquitous housings. The findings showed that many kinds of common network systems were suggested and were acted in limited spaces. In conclusion, it was considered as the one of the most suitable future housing type that had a special feature of the demands of residence and life with free accessibility of information and data. Especially, it is necessary to prepare for coming aging society.

This paper introduced the affordable housing support programs and system of the State of Michigan and Lansing Metropolitan Area and reviewed the affordable housing plan of Lansing area. This paper also examined their challenges and efforts to solve the affordable housing issues with additional analysis. The affordable housing planning process was also presented with a comprehensive analysis and future prediction of demographic characteristics and housing supply and demand for affordable housing. Especially, the trend and future forecast of the elderly and low-income households who have a significant impact on the affordable housing demand are considered. The U.S. and South Korea have different housing characteristics and situations. A part of the plan and suggestions of Lansing are somewhat unfamiliar, and it is difficult to introduce their suggestions into our policies. However, the affordable housing plan of Lansing Metropolitan Area suggested various solutions to solve the issues, and some of them deserve to be considered on our housing policy making.
