The power of human capital in a library is the main resource that determines the level of library services, which in turn should play a pivotal role in forming the intellectual power of the country. This research conducted a survey on the employment perspectives of LIS undergraduates, which resulted as follows. First, among the LIS undergraduates, 40% of students responded that their desire was to be employed in the library as librarians. Although there were some negative opinions regarding the working environment of the industry, the undergraduates appreciated the developmental possibilities. Second, the most desired task was working with cultural programs. Third, the respondents were satisfied with the current curriculum overall, acknowledging the extra need for job search support programs, which include career support, employment-related mentoring, and internships. Fourth, the main requirements for their future employability were perceived as grade point average, language skills, obtaining licenses, internship and apprenticeship experience, and career management. Fifth, influential factors on employment decision making were divided into two aspects: environmental and personal factors. The environmental factors included salary, welfare, opportunities in personal development, workplace environment, organizational culture, and development possibilities of the organization. The personal factors included fitness with personal aptitude, the level of knowledge and technology in the job industry, social norms and acknowledgement, rewarding opportunities with their major, and location of job.
Recently SMEs(small and medium enterprises) in Korea have experienced severe labor shortages. In particular, college graduates avoiding SMEs are widely spotted. According to previous studies, the main causes of the evasion by college graduates are the inferior working environment and low wages. Some studies also state that SME workers experience discrimination. However, most studies have focused only on unemployment issues of the young graduates. In this research, the results of follow-up surveys on the employment status and job conditions of recent college graduates was linked as a panel data, and the performance of the graduates was analyzed. Based on the analysis, we found college graduates who are employed SMEs are likely to have their initial career fixed to the SMEs. Second, the job separation records of the young SME workers does not show positive labor market performances such as upward movements or wage increases, and the process itself turned out to be entailed frequent separation. Third, the inferior wage level at SMEs and the fact that this effect is cumulatively amplified has been a key factor for evading SMEs. Thus, it is difficult to say that the early-stage careers in SMEs are constructive in future career development. On the contrary, the early careers at SMEs result in lower labor market outcomes, and frequent job separation.
The purpose of this study is to analyze job of management teacher of industry-academy cooperation of specialized high school using DACUM method. The contents of this study are to identify the duties, tasks and the level of importance, difficulty, frequency and entry level on each task. Finally, based on the job analysis results, the DACUM chart of management teacher of industry-academy cooperation of specialized high school was developed. The workshop for DACUM job analysis consisted of one DACUM facilitator who acquired Level-I license, eight members of DACUM who had more than five years experience, one clerk and one practitioner for two days. The results of the study are as follows. First, this study defines management teacher of industry-academy cooperation as 'a person who career teachers in charge of career guidance, NCS-based field practice, establishment of industry-academia-government relations, external business administration, industry-academia cooperation administration, teaching subject class'. Second, the job of management teacher of industry-academy cooperation were total 7 duties and 80 tasks. Third, the importance, difficulty, and frequency of each task are classified into high (A), normal (B), and low (C) according to degree. Finally, this study make out a DACUM chart of management teacher of industry-academy cooperation of specialized high school based on the results of DACUM job analysis. And knowledge, skills, tools, and positive behaviors, future trends/concerns about management teacher of industry-academy cooperation of specialized high school were presented.

In this paper, first I try to sketch the changing Japanese labor market after 1990s, and then examine the so-called "Job $Caf{\acute{e}}$ program" in detail, which was initiated in 2004 by central and local governments to help young people fine suitable jobs, and finally investigate the possible direction for future labor policy as an important tool for revitalize the local economy. Latter half of 1990s witnessed the high unemployment rate among the population aged twenties in Japan, and the number of 'shinsotsu-mugyo', i.e. population not at work after completing high school or university, NEET (not in employment, education or training) and 'freeters' have grown rapidly. "Job $Caf{\acute{e}}$ program" was initiated as a public response to the increased youth unemployment, aiming at assisting young people's transition from education to career. In the Job $Caf{\acute{e}}$ program, job information service by MHLW, information service for high school students and university students by MEXT, placement service of career internship by METI are integrated into one service, and are provided by local government initiative, therefore named as "one stop service of employment". Although it is highly appreciated for one stop service, the Job cafe program has criticized for paying too much attention to the performance of projects, such as the number of users, and the number of successful job matching. At the final section of the paper, more practical spatial unit for executing effective regional plan on local employment and more empirical research on job search behavior are discussed.
The purpose of this study was to identify the management situation and development plan targeting private bakery owners who are doing business in major cities. For research, the questionnaire survey was conducted targeting 69 owners who are operating bakery at the point of data collection, and the data were analyzed using frequency analysis and paired-sample t-test using SPSS. The results of the study were as follows. Owners' baking career and management career were mostly more than 10 years. They are currently managing bakeries with at least 4 competing bakeries and point out franchise-type bakeries as major competitors. Also, they responded that the most important factor for strengthening competitive edge of shop was employees and that the enhancement in technology and employees with adequate techniques are important for improving sales. Also, the result of paired sample t-test revealed that the communication had the biggest difference between importance and satisfaction perceptions among taste, sanitation, service, price, product, location, and communication. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

Traffic volume increases due to diversification of industry. Also, Automobile ownerships also increase steadily. It is estimated that the registered number of vehicle is expected to be 20 milion in the year 2015. These trends may result in increasing the number of woman drivers and elderly drivers. Therefore, this study aims to identify routes that reflect characteristics of each driver's preferences. A survey was conducted on different routes attributes for variances drivers. Driver types were classified by gender, age, and driving career. Accordingly, a weight for road composition attribute such as number of lanes, number of accidents, slope was estimated by using Swing Weighting technique in Multi-Attribute Utility Theory. In addition, a case study was conducted and identified weights were applied to routes. In result, drivers commonly prefer short route when they considered their routes. Also, male drivers prefer speedy and shorter route than that of female drivers. Elderly drivers prefer safe routes that represent low accidents rate. Moreover driving career under a year drivers prefer safe and easy routes. Therefore, we may conclude that the necessity of diversified route information is essential in the future car navigation system.
The purpose of this study was to examine for high school chemistry I textbooks published by the 6th curriculum and some foreign STS programs such as Chemistry in the Community, Science and Technology in Society, Chemistry: The Salter's Approach by analyzing STS contents, students' activity, overall structure of the books and space devoted to STS, and to provide improvement schemes for developing high school chemistry I textbooks to be developed by the 7th curriculum in future. It was found that STS topics in the high school chemistry I textbooks were related only to 'social problems and issues', 'applications of science', 'multiple dimensions of science', and STS contents were presented mostly by narration. Students' activities were limited to discussion and survey, and none of the topics were related to 'career awareness', and 'cooperative work on real problems' in high school chemistry I textbooks. On the contrary, a variety of STS topics and activities such as case study related to local and community, practicing decision-making strategies, role play, practical work career awareness were included in foreign STS programs. Desirable directions for the improvement of STS contents and structure of present high school chemistry I textbooks were proposed in this paper.

This study aims to investigate how high school teachers and students perceive the purpose of science learning. Participants were high school science teachers and students from one hundred and sixty high schools nationwide, which were selected through proportional stratified sampling method. Teachers and students responded on open-ended questionnaires about the purpose of science learning. The data were analyzed using the semantic network analysis method. Our study illustrates three major finding: First, teachers recognized the intrinsic value related to cognitive domain as the more important purpose of science learning, while students recognized the extrinsic value related to personal usefulness domain as more important. Second, teachers' responses were significantly different depending on the teaching career. Beginning teachers believed both intrinsic and extrinsic values were equally important, while experienced teachers believed the cognitive domain about understanding of scientific knowledge was more important than intrinsic values. In other words, the differences in perception of the purpose of science between teachers and students, the experienced teachers is greater than the beginning teachers. Finally, students' responses were different depending on their academic track. Humanity major students recognized that learning science made their everyday-life easier while science major students recognized that learning science should be related to their future careers. In conclusion, the results of this study is expected to be of use as the basic data to identify the characteristic of teachers and students related to science.

This study is aimed at researching and analyzing the actual conditions of the curriculum and career path of chemical engineering field in specialized high school, and seeking for a curriculum improvement plan for activation by means of identity establishment of chemical engineering field. This study surveyed the actual conditions of school (department) regarding chemical engineering, and analyzed an adequacy among the curriculum, department name and acquired license. The results are as follows. Firstly, In order to the chemical engineering field to maintain the identity of chemical engineering and accept the changes in the industrial site, it is desirable for the department name to use the name of applied science, such as Applied Chemical Industry, Nano Chemical Industry, Environmental Chemical Industry, Energy Chemical Industry, Convergence Materials Science and Chemical Engineering, Ceramic Chemical Engineering, Biomolecular and Chemical Engineering, and Food Bio-chemical Engineering, which are derived from chemical engineering, and the revision of curriculum should be included. Secondly, it is necessary to diversify relevant licenses by standard department of chemical engineering field, and clarify the purpose of human resources development and the image of talented, considering the future course of graduates and the demand of industry, for the purpose of improving school-leveled curriculum to raise the possibility of employment. Thirdly, in accordance with the changing paradigm that secondary vocational education is changed from 'just-to-know education (knowledge)' to 'can-do education (capability)', it is necessary to make the performance ability-centered curriculum in which 'chemical engineering industry - chemical engineering vocational education - chemical engineering qualification' are integrated.
Traditional studies for customer relationship management (CRM) generally focus on static CRM in a specific time frame. The static CRM and customer behavior knowledge derived could help marketers to redirect marketing resources fur profit gain at that given point in time. However, as time goes, the static knowledge becomes obsolete. Therefore, application of CRM to an online retailer should be done dynamically in time. Customer-based analysis should observe the past purchase behavior of customers to understand their current and likely future purchase patterns in consumer markets, and to divide a market into distinct subsets of customers, any of which may conceivably be selected as a market target to be reached with a distinct marketing mix. Though the concept of buying-behavior-based CRM was advanced several decades ago, virtually little application of the dynamic CRM has been reported to date. In this paper, we propose a dynamic CRM model utilizing data mining and a Monitoring Agent System (MAS) to extract longitudinal knowledge from the customer data and to analyze customer behavior patterns over time for the Internet retailer. The proposed model includes an extensive analysis about a customer career path that observes behaviors of segment shifts of each customer: prediction of customer careers, identification of dominant career paths that most customers show and their managerial implications, and about the evolution of customer segments over time. furthermore, we show that dynamic CRM could be useful for solving several managerial problems which any retailers may face.
