This study was conducted to identify the PERV (Porcine Endogenous Retrovirus) integration sites and their characterizations using the porcine genomic sequence information. Total 114 Mb (4.2%) sequence of the 2.7 Gb pig genome was investigated for the PERV sequences. As the results, 8 PERV sequences were identified and their genomic structures were deduced from the BLAST searches against previously known PERV genes. Seven PERVs have internal deletions in the protein coding region and they will not be functional. The other one also has internal deletions in the gag and env genes, indicating this PERV is also defective. Even though we could not identify the functional PERVs in this study, the results presented here can be used for the fundamental research materials for controlling PERV infections in relation to xenotransplantation using porcine organs and tissues.

A high-pressure, high-pressure drop control valve, which transforms the power transfer of a system by reducing the inlet pressure of 345bartothe outlet pressure of 112bar, is a fundamental component in an offshore plant process. With the increasingly growing market share of the maritime industry, this valve has been expected to be a high-value-added product. This study not only analyzes the relation between pressure drop and fluid velocity in a trim by using fluid analysis, but also examines the possibility of cavitation in a valve in addition to the plot for the extension of lifespan. Based on the analysis results, the design and production method of the valve are established, and accordingly, performance evaluation is carried out. It is demonstrated that the pressure drop from 345bar to 112bar is more feasible in the presence of the trim, which can induce a continuous and diminutive pressure drop in order to prevent cavitation in a high-pressure drop control valve. Furthermore, despite the fluid velocity near a seatring being found to be over 30m/s, the lifespan of the valve is determined to be adequate considering the operation condition of a prototype valve of 80%.

How to see nature and how to define the relation between nature and the human certainly influence fundamental attitude toward nature and any results derived from the attitude. Therefore, in order to figure out a way for how the humans and nature should coexist, the thesis has began a philosophical analysis on the origin of the biomimetics. Based on findings from the analysis, the thesis would work on the features of biomimicry space, presenting related possibilities. For the philosophical characteristic of the thesis which was an ecological world view, introduced at the end of mechanical world view era, the ideas of Spinoza, Nietzsche, Bergson and Deleuze about nature were quoted. Based on what the philosophers have said, the thesis looks into successful ideas, designs and ways of living that nature has shown by itself. After all, the purpose of the thesis is to investigate the constantly changing space of the biomimetics by organic forms, autonomous systems and dividing programs. Based on this, nine cases were analyzed to derive the characteristics. As a result, organic forms, autonomous systems and dividing programs characteristics of ecological appear simultaneously in harmony. Biomimicry space can coexist with nature and the human is an effective way.

Purpose: This study was done to understand elderly women within a community who have used lots of drugs. Method: Data was collected through in-depth interviews with four elderly women from April 2001 to February 2002. Data was analyzed by Giorgi's phenomenological method(2000). Results: The components in common with drug usage of elderly women were as follows: 'Awareness of the limitation of physical strength and uncertainty of life', 'Dread of a crisis situation occurring', 'Attachment and dependency on drugs', 'Expectation of a comfortable life and death', 'Prevention of family burden', and 'Pursuit of psychological comfort'. The general structure of experiences was as follows: causal factors were 'Awareness of uncertainty and limitation', 'dread of a crisis situation occurring' the results factor was 'Attachment and dependency on drugs' and the facilitating factors were 'Expectation of a comfortable life and death', 'Prevention of family burden', and 'Pursuit of psychological comfort'. The causal relation was cyclic. This structure showed a realistic adaptation pattern. Conclusion: This study contributed to provide fundamental data for nursing interventions for health promotion and promoting quality of life in elderly women by increasing understanding of the experiences of drugs use.

This paper aims to investigate empirically how brand trust can be formed from the customer-brand relationship through a direct use of firm's SNS in B2B context. The brand trust is fundamental elements to understanding of long-term relationship in a B2B context. To achieve the objectives of this study, data collection is through a personally administered questionnaire, and a total of 180 questionnaires was collected from the buyer or supplier who frequently visited partner's firm SNS. Excluding missing data, 120 usable data were analyzed. From the results, first, three SNS motivations (i.e. Information, social and entertainment) has a positive impact on the perceived value of SNS (i.e. perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment). Second, the perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment positively affect customer-brand relationship (brand intimacy, brand attachment). Third, the customer-brand relationship is positively related to brand trust. Implications, limitations and future research directions of the study were also discussed. These findings help managers in developing and implementing the relation between SNS use and a customer-brand relationship for long-term relationship in B2B.

For the fundamental studies on the improvement of grain and eating quality of barley. grain and crease development were investigated with 44 cultivars. The varietal differences in the length, width, thickness. weight and crease development of barley grains were significant. There were significant correlations between grain development and development of crease in many cases.

The purpose of this paper is to obtain the fundamental data on the catch fluctuation in the pound set net according to the tide age from the catch recorded from the year 1997 to 2004 in the coastal waters of Guideok, Jeju. Total catch by the pound set net had a little connection with the tide age. During increasing tide, total catch were reduced slightly from the neap tide to the high tide while there seemed to be a little sign of rise in the total catch until decreasing tide. But in the relation between the catches and the tide age, the level of the correlation coefficient chosen at $p{\le}0.05$ was not significant. Therefore, the catch of the pound set net seemed not to be influenced by the tide age. In addition, CPUE at the high tide was higher than that at the neap tide. When the catch per operating frequency was graded in the order under 50 kg, 50-100 kg and 100-200 kg, the frequency rate by the pound set net was 38%, 19% and 19%, respectively.

Interactive real-time 3D enables users to explore virtual three dimensional environments and also experience contents in an absorbing fashion. Unlike other media, Interactive real-time 3D users take an active role in the process of "real-time fashion" where action and reaction occur instantly in a digital 3D structure. Once the components and origins of interactive real-time 3D is made, it is possible making principles of the beauty that help decide success or failure of real-time 3D in two way system. Substantial real-time 3D has not yet passed 10 years so it was unable to make sufficient precedents of fundamental artistic value based upon the credibility of the media. The goal is to explain the new form of design in relation to general principles of arts at the same time to understand the technical definition better. Concepts of historical documentation are explained with an example of categorization of recent video game and recent technology. This thesis concludes with rough forecast on the future interactive real time 3D. Since the medium began relatively recently and is developing in the rapid pace, recent analyses, though clear forecast is difficult, tend to investigate potential directions to some level the field allows.

The choice of strain, substrate, and environmental conditions are fundamental factors that determine the ability of a fungus to develop and produce mushrooms with high quality. The objective of this study was to compare the strains of Lentinula edodes and Ganoderma lucidum originated from South Korea and Brazil in relation to their vegetative development in different culture media, to obtain isolates with high quality. The strains of the two mushroom species from Brazil and South Korea grew slowly, possibly because of abiotic factors or storage technique used. However, it may be concluded that temperature, humidity, light, pH, and nutrients from the substrate, if not regulated appropriately may affect the vegetative species.

The purpose of this paper, followed by 'Nature$\cdot$Human, and Golden Section I ', is to study aesthetic consciousness, mentality model and body proportion of human, and the golden section applied to architecture and hand axe of stone age. In particular, handaxes of one million years ago have shown that they had critical competency to the basis of art and mathematics in the future. Furthermore, without pen, paper and ruler, the existence of mentality model made fundamental conversion of mathematics possible. Different sizes of handaxes were made by maintaining the equal golden section. This was the first example in relation to the principle mentioned in 'Stoicheia' by Euclid which was published hundred thousands of years later.
