Impact of business process re-engineering requires the fundamental rethinking of how information systems are analyzed and designed. It is no longer sufficient to establish a monolithic system for fixed business environments. Information systems must be adaptive in nature. This demand is also applied in production domain. Enabling concept for the adaptive information system is reusability. This paper presents a new object-oriented analysis process for creating such reusable software components in production domain, especially for production planning and scheduling. Our process called MeCOMA is based on three meta-models: physical object meta-model, data object meta-model, and activity object meta-model. After the three meta-models are extended independently for a given production system, they are collaboratively integrated on the basis of integration pattern. The main advantages of MeCOMA are (1) to reduce software development time and (2) to consistently build reusable production software components.
Three time-discontinuous Galerkin quadrature element methods (TDGQEMs) are developed for structural dynamic problems. The weak-form time-discontinuous Galerkin (TDG) statements, which are capable of capturing possible displacement and/or velocity discontinuities, are employed to formulate the three types of quadrature elements, i.e., single-field, single-field/least-squares and two-field. Gauss-Lobatto quadrature rule and the differential quadrature analog are used to turn the weak-form TDG statements into a system of algebraic equations. The stability, accuracy and numerical dissipation and dispersion properties of the formulated elements are examined. It is found that all the elements are unconditionally stable, the order of accuracy is equal to two times the element order minus one or two times the element order, and the high-order elements possess desired high numerical dissipation in the high-frequency domain and low numerical dissipation and dispersion in the low-frequency domain. Three fundamental numerical examples are investigated to demonstrate the effectiveness and high accuracy of the elements, as compared with the commonly used time integration schemes.

A separable identity-based ring signature scheme has been constructed as a fundamental cryptographic primitive for protecting user privacy. Using the separability property, ring members can be selected from arbitrary domains, thereby, giving a signer a wide range of ways to control privacy. In this paper we propose a generic method to construct efficient identity-based ring signature schemes with various levels of separability. We first describe a method to efficiently construct an identity-based ring signature scheme for a single domain, in which a signer can select ring identities by choosing from identities defined only for the domain. Next, we present a generic method for linking ring signatures constructed for a single domain. Using this method, an identity-based ring signature scheme with a compact structure, supporting multiple arbitrary domains can be designed. We show that our method outperforms the best known schemes in terms of signature size and computational costs, and that the security model based on the separability of identity-based ring signatures, presented in this paper, is highly refined and effective by demonstrating the security of all of the proposed schemes, using a model with random oracles.
Methodology of ontology building based on Web resources will not only reduce significantly the ontology construction period, but also enhance the quality of the ontology. Remarkable progress has been achieved in this regard, but they encounter similar difficulties, such as the Web data extraction and knowledge acquisition. This paper researches on the characteristics of ontology construction data, including dynamics, largeness, variation and openness and other features, and the fundamental issue of ontology construction - formalized representation method. Then, the key technologies used in and the difficulties with ontology construction are summarized. A software Model-OntoMaker (Ontology Maker) is designed. The model is innovative in two regards: (1) the improvement of generality: the meta learning machine will dynamically pick appropriate ontology learning methodologies for data of different domains, thus optimizing the results; (2) the merged processing of (semi-) structural and non-structural data. In addition, as known to all wetland researchers, information sharing is vital to wetland exploitation and protection, while wetland ontology construction is the basic task for information sharing. OntoMaker constructs the wetland ontologies, and the model in this work can also be referred to other environmental domains.
A core technology that may realize the Semantic Web is Ontology. The OWL (Web Ontology Language) has been positioned as a standard language. It requires technical expertise to directly represent the domain knowledge in OWL. Based on our experience of analyzing the fundamental relationships of concepts in e-catalog domain, we have developed a visual product information modeler called PROMOD. The modeling editor makes it possible to automatically generate the OWL codes for the given product information. We employ an Extended Entity-Relationship for conceptual modeling, enriched with modeling elements specialized for the product domain. In this paper, we present our translation schemes from EER model to OWL codes, and how to design and implement the modeling editor. We also provide a scenario to demonstrate the usage of the editor in practice.
We will describe a way to construct Ford domains of cusped hyperbolic 3-manifolds on maximal cusp diagrams and compute fundamental groups using face pairing maps as generators and Cannon-Floyd-Parry's edge cycles as relations. We also describe explicitly a cutting and pasting alteration to reduce the number of faces on the bottom region of Ford domains. We expect that our analysis of Ford domains will be useful on other future research.

As the fundamental study of an active suspension system, computer simulation is performed using a quarter model. Design data for the development of active suspension system are presented through performance estimation of active control laws in the time and frequency domain. The verification of compromise between ride quality and handling characteristics is carried out.
This paper deals with a novel method of modeling and analyzing multilevel pulse width modulation(PWM) inverter/rectifier, which leads to extraction of equivalent circuit in fundamental frequency domain. By the technique, we can draw out the corresponding linear time invariant circuit even thuogh the actual circuit is switched. A static VAR compensator using five-level inverter is modeled and simulated for the verification of the modeling.
The definitions and techniques, which deals with homotopic harmonic maps from a compact Riemannian manifold into a compact metric space, developed by N. J. Korevaar and R. M. Schoen [7] can be applied to more general situations. In this paper, we prove that for a complicated domain, possibly noncompact Riemannian manifold with infinitely generated fundamental group, the existence of homotopic harmonic maps can be proved if the initial map is simple in some sense.
In this paper we introduce the notion of a fuzzy kernel of a fuzzy homomorphism on groups and we show that it is a fuzzy normal subgroup of the domain group. Conversely, we also prove that any fuzzy normal subgroup is a fuzzy kernel of some fuzzy epimorphism, namely the canonical fuzzy epimorphism. Finally, we formulate and prove the fuzzy version of the fundamental theorem of homomorphism and those isomorphism theorems.
