In this article, a nonlocal stress-strain elasticity theory on the vibration analysis of Timoshenko sandwich beam theory with symmetric and asymmetric distributions of porous core and functionally graded material facesheets is introduced. According to nonlocal elasticity Eringen's theory (nonlocal stress elasticity theory), the stress at a reference point in the body is dependent not only on the strain state at that point, but also on the strain state at all of the points throughout the body; while, according to a new nonlocal strain elasticity theory, the strain at a reference point in the body is dependent not only on the stress state at that point, but also on the stress state at all of the points throughout the body. Also, with combinations of two concepts, the nonlocal stress-strain elasticity theory is defined that can be actual at micro/nano scales. It is concluded that the natural frequency decreases with an increase in the nonlocal stress parameter; while, this effect is vice versa for nonlocal strain elasticity, because the stiffness of Timoshenko sandwich beam decreases with increasing of the nonlocal stress parameter; in which, the nonlocal strain parameter leads to increase the stiffness of structures at micro/nano scale. It is seen that the natural frequency by considering both nonlocal stress parameter and nonlocal strain parameter is higher than the nonlocal stress parameter only and lower for a nonlocal strain parameter only.
This paper deals with free vibration of FG sandwich annular sector plates on Pasternak elastic foundation with different boundary conditions, based on the three-dimensional theory of elasticity. The plates with simply supported radial edges and arbitrary boundary conditions on their circular edges are considered. The influence of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) waviness, aspect ratio, internal pores and graphene platelets (GPLs) on the vibrational behavior of functionally graded nanocomposite sandwich plates is investigated in this research work. The distributions of CNTs are considered functionally graded (FG) or uniform along the thickness of upper and bottom layers of the sandwich sectorial plates and their mechanical properties are estimated by an extended rule of mixture. In this study, the classical theory concerning the mechanical efficiency of a matrix embedding finite length fibers has been modified by introducing the tube-to-tube random contact, which explicitly accounts for the progressive reduction of the tubes' effective aspect ratio as the filler content increases. The core of structure is porous and the internal pores and graphene platelets (GPLs) are distributed in the matrix of core either uniformly or non-uniformly according to three different patterns. The elastic properties of the nanocomposite are obtained by employing Halpin-Tsai micromechanics model. A semi-analytic approach composed of 2D-Generalized Differential Quadrature Method (2D-GDQM) and series solution is adopted to solve the equations of motion. The fast rate of convergence and accuracy of the method are investigated through the different solved examples. Some new results for the natural frequencies of the plate are prepared, which include the effects of elastic coefficients of foundation, boundary conditions, material and geometrical parameters. The new results can be used as benchmark solutions for future researches.
This is the first attempt to consider the nonlinear bending analysis of porous functionally graded (FG) thick annular and circular nanoplates resting on Kerr foundation. The size effects are captured based on modified couple stress theory (MCST). The material properties of the porous FG nanostructure are assumed to vary smoothly through the thickness according to a power law distribution of the volume fraction of the constituent materials. The elastic medium is modeled by Kerr elastic foundation which consists of two spring layers and one shear layer. The governing equations are extracted based on Hamilton's principle and two variables refined plate theory. Utilizing generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM), the nonlinear static behavior of the nanostructure is obtained under different boundary conditions. The effects of various parameters such as material length scale parameter, boundary conditions, and geometrical parameters of the nanoplate, elastic medium constants, porosity and FG index are shown on the nonlinear deflection of the annular and circular nanoplates. The results indicate that with increasing the material length scale parameter, the nonlinear deflection is decreased. In addition, the dimensionless nonlinear deflection of the porous annular nanoplate is diminished with the increase of porosity parameter. It is hoped that the present work may provide a benchmark in the study of nonlinear static behavior of porous nanoplates.
This article present the free vibration analysis of simply supported perfect and imperfect (porous) FG beams using a high order trigonometric deformation theory. It is assumed that the material properties of the porous beam vary across the thickness. Unlike other theories, the number of unknown is only three. This theory has a parabolic shear deformation distribution across the thickness. So it is useless to use the shear correction factors. The Hamilton's principle will be used herein to determine the equations of motion. Since, the beams are simply supported the Navier's procedure will be retained. To show the precision of this model, several comparisons have been made between the present results and those of existing theories in the literature.
In this paper, the forced resonance vibration of porous functionally graded (FG) curved nanobeam is examined. In order to capture the hardening and softening mechanisms of nanostructure, the nonlocal strain gradient theory is employed to build the size-dependent model. Using the Timoshenko beam theory together with the Hamilton principle, the equations of motion for the curved nanobeam are derived. Then, Navier series are used in order to obtain the dynamical deflections of the porous FG curved nanobeam with simply-supported ends. It is found that the resonance position of the nanobeam is very sensitive to the nonlocal and strain gradient parameters, material variation, porosity coefficient, as well as geometrical conditions. The results indicate that the resonance position is postponed by increasing the strain gradient parameter, while the nonlocal parameter has the opposite effect on the results. Furthermore, increasing the opening angle or length-to-thickness ratio will result in resonance position moves to lower-load frequency.

Thermo-mechanical vibration characteristics of in homogeneousporous functionally graded (FG) micro/nanobeam subjected to various types of thermal loadings are investigated in the present paper based on modified couple stress theory with consideration of the exact position of neutral axis. The FG micro/nanobeam is modeled via a refined hyperbolic beam theory in which shear deformation effect is verified needless of shear correction factor. A modified power-law distribution which contains porosity volume fraction is used to describe the graded material properties of FG micro/nanobeam. Temperature field has uniform, linear and nonlinear distributions across the thickness. The governing equations and the related boundary conditions are derived by Extended Hamilton's principle and they are solved applying an analytical solution which satisfies various boundary conditions. A comparison study is performed to verify the present formulation with the known data in the literature and a good agreement is observed. The parametric study covered in this paper includes several parameters such as thermal loadings, porosity volume fraction, power-law exponents, slenderness ratio, scale parameter and various boundary conditions on natural frequencies of porous FG micro/nanobeams in detail.
Some researchers pointed out that the nonlocal cantilever models do not predict the dynamic softening behavior for nanostructures (including nanobeams) with clamped-free (CF) ends. In contrast, some indicate that the nonlocal cantilever models can capture the stiffness softening characteristics. There are substantial differences on this issue between them. The vibration analysis of porosity-dependent functionally graded nanoscale tubes with variable boundary conditions is investigated in this study. Using a modified power-law model, the tube's porosity-dependent material coefficients are graded in the radial direction. The theory of nonlocal strain gradients is used. Hamilton's principle is used to derive the size-dependent governing equations for simply-supported (S), clamped (C) and clamped-simply supported (CS). Following the solution of these equations by the extended differential quadrature technique, the effect of various factors on vibration issues was investigated further. It can be shown that these factors have a considerable effect on the vibration characteristics. It also can be found that our numerical results can capture the unexpected softening phenomena for cantilever tubes.

This work addresses the free vibration analysis of Functionally Graded Porous (FGP) nanocomposite truncated conical shells with Graphene PLatelet (GPL) reinforcement. In this study, three different distributions for porosity and three different dispersions for graphene platelets have been considered in the direction of the shell thickness. The Halpin-Tsai equations are used to find the effective material properties of the graphene platelet reinforced materials. The equations of motion are derived based on the higher-order shear deformation theory and Sanders's theory. The Fourier Differential Quadrature (FDQ) technique is implemented to solve the governing equations of the problem and to obtain the natural frequencies of the truncated conical shell. The combination of FDQ with higher-order shear deformation theory allows a very accurate prediction of the natural frequencies. The precision and reliability of the proposed method are verified by the results of literature. Moreover, a wide parametric study concerning the effect of some influential parameters, such as the geometrical parameters, porosity distribution, circumferential wave numbers, GPLs dispersion as well as boundary restraint conditions on free vibration response of FGP-GPL truncated conical shell is also carried out and investigated in detail.

This paper employs differential quadrature method (DQM) and nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT) for studying free vibrational characteristics of porous functionally graded (FG) nanoplates coupled by visco-elastic foundation. A secant function based refined plate theory is used for mathematical modeling of the nano-size plate. Two scale factors are included in the formulation for describing size influences based on NSGT. The material properties for FG plate are porosity-dependent and defined employing a modified power-law form. Visco-elastic foundation is presented based on three factors including a viscous layer and two elastic layers. The governing equations achieved by Hamilton's principle are solved implementing DQM. The nanoplate vibration is shown to be affected by porosity, temperature rise, scale factors and viscous damping.
