Hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA is often integrated into hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Although the relationship between HBV integration and HCC development has been widely studied, the role of HBV integration in HCC development is still not completely understood. In the present study, we constructed a pooled BAC library of 9 established cell lines derived from HCC patients with HBV infections. By amplifying viral genes and superpooling of BAC clones, we identified 2 clones harboring integrated HBV DNA. Screening of host-virus junctions by repeated sequencing revealed an HBV DNA integration site on chromosome 11q13 in the SNU-886 cell line. The structure and rearrangement of integrated HBV DNA were extensively analyzed. An inverted duplicated structure, with fusion of at least 2 HBV DNA molecules in opposite orientations, was identified in the region. The gene expression of cancer-related genes increased near the viral integration site in HCC cell line SNU-886.

The result of this study suggests that students' perception of service value is related to functional value with regard to need and satisfaction, epistemic value, image, emotional value, functional value with regard to price and quality, and social value. Specifically female students give less importance to epistemic value than their male counterparts. Students in the 2nd grade gave less favorable scores to the functional value with regard to need and satisfaction, epistemic value, image, emotional value and functional value with regard to price and quality than students in the 1st grade. Students in the night class gave less scores to epistemic value and functional value with regard to price and quality than students in the day class. It is confirmed that the difference between groups by the period in school is in functional value with regard to need and satisfaction, image, emotional value, and functional value with regard to price and quality. And it is also revealed that these results are similar to the results of analysis by the grade. In conclusion college operators should not overemphasize that the department of Hotel culinary arts occupies the leading position of the culinary academic world in Korea and the firms of food service industry positively evaluate the department of Hotel culinary arts, and in order to cope with the rapidly changing environment of the culinary education consistent investment constant changes and of efforts should not be stopped. On one hand the teaching staff of the department of Hotel culinary arts should reconsider their original role, and need behavior and practice to fill their deficiency with steady efforts in terms of students' perceived service value. In addition the students of the department of Hotel culinary arts should not be shackled by the past tradition, should not take a pessimistic view of the present situation, should not take an optimistic view of the future, and should always cultivate their ability to provide for the future.

디지털 콘텐츠를 전시하는 방식인 '온라인 전시'는 기록관에서 제공하는 또 하나의 기록정보서비스로 자리매김을 하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 오프라인 전시와 같은 역할과 기대효과를 제공할 수 있는 온라인 기록전시를 구축하기 위하여 필요한 기능요건을 도출하고 이에 대한 중요도 순위를 현재 온라인 기록전시 담당자에 의하여 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 온라인 기록전시의 핵심기능 3개를 도출하고 다양한 기능요소를 제안한 32편의 연구로부터 13개의 기능요건을 추출한 다음, 16명의 온라인 기록전시 담당자가 판단하는 기능요건의 상대적 중요도를 분석적 계층분석 방법을 이용하여 측정하였다. 온라인 기록전시 담당자들은 '정보전달 기능', '전시효과적 기능', '정보적 기능' 순으로 중요하다고 하였고 가장 중요하다고 판단한 상위 기능요건은 '심미성', '상호작용성', '사용성', '교육적 경험제공성', '홍보 및 전시활성화'이며, 낮은 중요도를 보인 기능요건은 '주제적 독창성'과 '내용적 포괄성'이다.

The two-component signal transduction, which typically consists of a histidine kinase and a response regulator, is used by bacterial cells to sense changes in their environment. Previously, the SphS-SphR histidine kinase and response regulator pair of phosphate sensing signal transduction has been identified in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803. In addition, some response regulators in bacteria have been shown to be cross regulated by low molecular weight phosphorylated compounds in the absence of the cognate histidine kinase. The ability of an endogenous acetyl phosphate to phosphorylate the response regulator, SphR in the absence of the cognate histidine kinase, SphS was therefore tested in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803. The mutant lacking functional SphS and acetate kinase showed no detectable alkaline phosphatase activity under phosphate-limiting growth conditions. The results suggested that the endogenous acetyl phosphate accumulated inside the mutants could not activate the SphR via phosphorylation. On the other hand, exogenous acetyl phosphate could allow the mutant lacking functional acetate kinase and phosphotransacetylase to grow under phosphate-limiting conditions suggesting the role of acetyl phosphate as an energy source. Reverse transcription PCR demonstrated that the transcripts of acetate kinase and phospho-transacetylase genes in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 is up-regulated in response to phosphate limitation suggesting the importance of these two enzymes for energy metabolism in Synechocystis cells

This study examined the effects of fathers' play participation on young children's social competence and self-regulation. The subjects consisted of 180 fathers with children at ages between 4-7 years old from 2 preschools and 3 kindergartens located in Y city in Gyeonggi province. The analyses used for this study included the t-test and multiple regression analysis. The main findings are as follows. First, fathers' play participation was not different by sociodemographic characteristics such as fathers' age, educational level, and job. Second, fathers' participation in functional play, role play, and constructive play was positively related to social activator, reassurance, and cooperation among subscales on children's social competence. Also, fathers' participation in games was negatively related to reassurance among children and positively related to hypersensitivity among children. Third, fathers' participation in role play and functional play was positively related to children's self-monitoring and self-control. These findings suggest emphasizing fathers' play participation to improve children's social competence and children's self-regulation, and it can be helpful to underline fathers' education and to develop programs for fathers' play.
