Recently, there are a lot of studies on the engineering application of biomimetic functional surface in the world. The nature-inspired functional surfaces offer many solutions for copying with problems which are faced with human such as environmental contamination, energy depletion, exhaustion of water, and food shortage by giving the high quality function to industrial products. In this paper, we introduce the superhydrophobicity of nature surface and review the research on theoretical modeling and fabrication of superhydrophobic surface with micro/nanostructure.

Negatively charged functional organic molecules such as retinoic acid, ascorbic acid, indole acetic acid, citric acid, salicylic acid, acidic dye (indigo carmine, Food Blue 1) are intercalatively encapsulated by zinc basic salt (hydrozincite) and layered double hydroxide. Such functional organic-inorganic nanohybrids are realized via coprecipitation reaction involving simultaneous formation of layered inorganic lattice and intercalation of anionic species. The heterostructural nature of these nanohybrids, their particle morphology and textural characterizations are mainly discussed on the basis of Powder X-ray Diffraction and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy results.

Pi(Spleen, 脾) corresponds to central earth and is called as the basis of acquired essence as it has the function of transforting and transforming the nutrients, keeping the blood circulating, and nourishing the muscle and limbs. Recently many studies to research the nature and deficiency of Pi are actively carried out. Especially functional deficiency of Pi(脾虛證) which occupies 60 to 70% or 88% in miscell aneous disease is divided into deficiency of Qi(脾氣虛), Yang(脾陽許), and Yin(脾陰虛), and tought to be positive when three or more such symptoms as anorexia, abdominal distension, loose bowels, pale face and weakness are present. Investigating the resent studies on the nature of the deficiency of Pi shows that Pi has the function of digestive system and also should be considered as functional unit of mult system related immune, metabolic, hematic, muscular, rnddocrine and nervus system. Various experiments as ptyaline activity test and xylose absorption test are used as an indication to deficiency of Pi and would be helpful to understand its nature. As deficiency of Pi appears in many disease and has various manifestations, further studies to diagnose the symptom of Pi using various experiments and oriental medical diagnostic method should be ensued.

Nature and technology are very popular themes in the everydayness of modern world. In our industrial age which is based on technology nature becomes an lost origin and basic environment. On the other hand, technology is conceived as future hope and realistic environment. Through 1960s they had been transformed as signs and connoted into furniture design. As signs, they structured environment, organized space, and bred their own aesthetics. In this context, Danish designer Verner Panton presented nature as experiential landscape and Italian designer Joe Colombo expressed technology as amusing machine. What they showed were not real but sign of nature and machine. Nonetheless they were successful to create aesthetic atmosphere and meaningful projects. Also they showed the potentiality that furniture design might include discoursive issues and values. They also extended functional interesting between furniture and body to cultural domain of social viewpoint in behavioral pattern.

Functional Games, which have developed in Korea until now, is only for the healthy people's education. There are less functional games for neglected people, specially for the disturbed's healing. I define 'Green Contents' as contents which is helpful to both of nature and human, especially to the week, and also they are not developed only for the commercial aim. Functional Games for the disturbed's healing should be developed as' Green Contents.' If functional games for the disturbed's healing will be developed as aspects of technology and contents development, they will have more effects to people, and also people will need them more. For this study, I analyze art therapy, which is a normal treatment to give a social nature and self respect to the disturbed. Also I developed a functional game program for the disturbed's healing as based on psychoanalyst's theories and suggest it's Road-map. This study will be useful for the developer who want to develop this kinds of games afterwards, and various functional games for the disturbed's healing as Green Contents should be more developed in the near future.

Chronic abdominal pain, defined as long-lasting intermittent or constant abdominal pain, is a common pediatric problem encountered by primary care physicians and medical subspecialists. Chronic abdominal pain in children is usually functional, i.e., without objective evidence of an underlying organic disorder. Functional abdominal pain is categorized as functional dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, functional abdominal pain, abdominal migraine, and aerophagia according to the Rome II criteria for pediatric functional gastrointestinal disorders. There is insufficient evidence to state that the nature of abdominal pain or the presence of associated symptoms can discriminate between functional and organic disorders. The presence of alarming symptoms or signs, such as weight loss, gastrointestinal bleeding, persistent fever, and chronic severe diarrhea, is associated with a higher prevalence of organic disease. Most children with chronic abdominal pain are unlikely to require diagnostic testing; such children often need pharmacologic and behavioral therapy.

This study aims to make clear visual quality of organic form and structural order that is immanent in nature about a form as formative principles of architectural space design the significanced of this study is to prove the application possibility in to functional form architectural space design. All organic forms in nature has a unique shape and pattern in structure to be self-controled and good in order. Such an order in nature comes from regular construction and ratio principles which has aesthetical order by mathmetics. The specialty of beauty in nature can be revealed not only visual form but also the ratio balance and rhythm of structural principles. As we examine the aesthetic source embodied some object can be developed in to basic principles. Furthermore through this study we can find out that the form construction theory in nature forms share the quality attribute with geometrical form to be shown in architectural space design. Natural forms are ultimate visual expression of power that effects on the architectural space design. The rule of power in nature as nature formal characteristics have a direct influence and can be also applied to architectural construction. Therefore I expect that this study will be linked and continued to another structural view.

In 2000s, the interest of ROHAS has been increased and the environmental problem has begun to be discussed as the environmental and global value, not the individual perspective. And the standard of value for eco-friendly awareness has been expanded to the economic category. The trend of eco-friendly fabric can be divided into 3 periods depending on the property. The period for natural fabric with visual effects(2002~2004) can be summarized as the creation of natural shape using the natural image, the interaction of cotton and the technology from the visual perspective. In the period of functional conjunction with eco-friendliness and technology(2005~2008), the eco-friendly awareness through the conjunction of technology and nature and the re-cycling, and the responsibility to the environment had been increased. In the period of sustainable development for nature and environment(2009~2011), it showed the conjunction with nature and the integration with technology and eco-friendly issues. Therefore, the characteristic of eco-friendly trend in fabric since 2000 can be said; firstly, the high-quality fabric has been developed with technological development for the functional progress. Secondly, the ethical creativity has been displayed with the development and utilization of eco-friendly recycling materials. Thirdly, the materials reflected with eco-friendly issues have emerged.

A random profile is the result of a process, the output of which is a function instead of a scalar or vector quantity. In the nature of these objects, two main dimensions of "functionality" and "randomness" can be recognized. Valuable researches have been conducted to present control charts for monitoring such processes in which a regression approach has been applied by focusing on "randomness" of profiles. Performing other statistical techniques such as hypothesis testing for different parameters, comparing parameters of two populations, ANOVA, DOE, etc. has been postponed thus far, because the "functional" nature of profiles is ignored. In this paper, first, some needed theorems are proven with an applied approach, so that be understandable for an engineer which is unfamiliar with advanced mathematical analysis. Then, as an application of that, a statistical test is designed for mean of continuous random profiles. Finally, using experimental operating characteristic curves obtained in computer simulation, it is demonstrated that the presented tests are properly able to recognize deviations in the null hypothesis.

This study identifies the relationships among demographic variables, well-being health consciousness, sports/leisure activity, and the perceived premium price for high functional sports/leisure wear. An empirical study was conducted with the data collected by questionnaires distributed to male and female respondents aged 15 and over. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, MANOVA, two-way ANOVA, and regressions were used to analyze 244 answers. As a result, 3 factors were determined for well-being health consciousness: nature-friendly life, premium consumption for health, and health care. The older group pursued a nature-friendly life more than the younger group, the female group pursued premium consumption for health more than male group, and older women and younger men pursued health care more than their counterparts. Sports/leisure activity was relatively intensive in the male group and in the younger group. Sports/leisure activity was explained by male characteristic and health care factors. Sports/leisure activity was the only element for predicting the perceived premium price ratio for high functional sports/leisure wear.
