간판의 기능과 디자인 요소가 고객 선호도에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Function and Design Elements of Sign on Customer Preference)

  • Each municipality is promoting signboard improvement projects, but the effectiveness is not great. The main reason for this is that when the signboard is manufactured the location of the shop is only dependent on the visual aspiration effect and it is not harmonized with the building by applying uniform design. The signboard are installed almost everywhere in the city, such as residential, natural and commercial environments. And the signboard provides various services such as traffic information and life safety to customers. Also, by applying design and functional elements, we can enhance the competitiveness of companies and improve the urban environment by enhancing the mutual connection effect of customers and space. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of design elements and functional elements of the signboard on customer preference. In other words, we conducted surveys and analyzes of 152 specialists and non-experts (customers, self-employed). As a result of the study, the following conclusions were drawn. First, the functions and design elements of signboards are important factors that have a positive effect on customer preference. Second, the function of the signboard has a positive(+) influence on the customer preference, and the information providing function and the corporate image side function directly affect the customer preference. Third, color elements have a positive(+) meaningful effect on customer preference. Especially, similar color sign affects customer preference positively. Fourth, the signboard design component has a positive(+) significant effect on customer preference. In particular, typefaces have a positive effect on customer preference.

아동용 스키 팬츠의 기능적 설계요소 연구 (A Study on the Functional Design Elements for Children's Ski Pants)

  • This study identified design elements of the functions required for children's ski pants. Data for this study were collected through questionnaire surveys conducted among children's ski instructors and children's sportswear developers. Five functionalities of children's skiwear were evaluated: mobility, stability, comfort, protection, and convenience. A total of 25 functional design elements related to the patterns, design details, and physical characteristics of fabrics for ski garments, were evaluated. The results of this study are as follows. First, children's sportswear developers evaluated that the pattern elements were important. Most of the pattern design elements highly related to mobility. Children's ski instructors' appraisal was that the height of the back waist was the important feature. Second, regarding the design details, children's ski instructors evaluated the size adjustment function and ventilation system as important elements. Many design detail elements were highly related in respect of stability, comfort, protection, and convenience. Third, the physical characteristics of fabric were strongly associated with mobility, comfort, and protection. As regards the physical characteristics of fabric, children's ski instructors valued anti-fouling highly, but children's sportswear developers attached more importance to the weight of the fabric. The results of this study will be useful in designing functional ski pants for children of elementary and intermediate ski levels. Since there may be limitations related to the ski level and age of children wearing ski pants, it is suggested that follow-up studies according to various groups of the ski pant wearers should be done.

  • This study introduces the concept of image/impression of a product design, human interface elements, and the relationships between them. It is assumed that the human interface can be decomposed into detailed design elements, called human interface elements. This study attempts to build functional relationships between the image/impression of a product and human interface elements. Two different human factors experiments were conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach suggested in this study. A total of 35 audio/visual consumer electronics products (e.g., CD players, VCRs) were shown on a display screen and the subjects were instructed to evaluate them in terms of eight image/impression dimensions. One experiment was conducted using Korean subjects while the other using American subjects. The functional relationships were modeled by using the multiple linear regression technique. Similarity and difference between the Korean and the American subjects were analyzed. The approach suggested in this study is expected to help designers and developers identify important design variables to enhance the subjective satisfaction of a product design.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 현용 및 준현용 기록관리에 관한 국제표준인 ISO 15489를 기준으로 행정기관의 기록관리 메타데이터 요소를 분석하고 이를 통해 개선방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 우선 기록관리 메타데이터의 특성과 요건에 대해 살펴보았다. 다음에는 선행연구를 토대로 ISO 15489의 기능적 요건을 만족시킬 수 있는 메타데이터 요소를 기술영역과 관리영역으로 나누어 추출하고 정리하였다. 이러한 분석을 토대로 우리나라 전자문서시스템 및 자료관시스템의 메타데이터 요소를 평가하고 보안사항을 제안하였다.

Spin-Orbit Density Functional Theory Calculations for TlAt with Relativistic Effective Core Potentials

  • Bond lengths, harmonic vibrational frequencies and dissociation energies of TlAt are calculated at ab initio molecular orbital and density functional theory using effective spin-orbit operator and relativistic effective core potentials. Spin-orbit effects estimated from density functional theory are in good agreement with those from ab initio calculations, implying that density functional theory with effective core potentials can be an efficient and reliable methods for spin-orbit interactions. The estimated $R_e$, $ω_e$ and $D_e$ values are 2.937 ${\AA}$, 120 $cm^{-1}$, 1.96 eV for TlAt. Spin-orbit effects generally cause the bond contraction in Group 13 elements and the bond elongation in the Group 17 elements, and spin-orbit effects on Re of TlAt are almost cancelled out. The spinorbit effects on $D_e$ of TlAt are roughly the sum of spin-orbit effects on $D_e$ of the corresponding element hydrides. Electron correlations and spin-orbit effects are almost additive in the TlAt molecule.

  • The electronic states of ZnO doped with Al, Ga and In, which belong to III family elements in periodic table, were calculated using the density functional theory. In this study, the calculation was performed by two Programs; the discrete variational Xa (DV-Xa) method, which is a sort of molecular orbital full potential method; Vienna Ab-initio Simulation Package (VASP), which is a sort of pseudo potential method. The fundamental mixed orbital structure in each energy level near the Fermi level was investigated with simple model using DV-Xa. The optimized crystal structures calculated by VASP were compared to the measured structures. The density of state and the energy levels of dopant elements were shown and discussed in association with properties.

Geoscience 연구데이터 관리를 위한 기능별 세부요소 및 중요도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Functional Details and Importance of Geoscience Research Data Management)

  • 본 연구는 국내에서 Geoscience 분야 연구데이터 관리 시스템 개발에 적용할 수 있는 RDM 기능별 세부요소의 도출을 목적으로 하였다. 연구 목적 달성을 위해 RDM 서비스와 관련된 8개의 기관을 분석하였다. 분석한 결과, Geoscience RDM 기능의 80개 세부요소가 도출되었으며, 도출된 세부요소를 검증하기 위하여 국내 전문가를 대상으로 설문조사를 수행하였다. 조사 결과, Geoscience 분야를 위한 80개의 RDM 기능별 세부요소가 중요도 순으로 제시되었다. 제시된 요소는 국내의 연구 기관 또는 대학도서관에서 Geoscience 분야의 RDM 서비스 구축 및 운영 시 기능별 세부요소로 제시될 수 있으며 순위에 따라 중요도를 판단할 수 있는 참고자료가 될 수 있을 것이다.

연구 데이터 관리 및 서비스를 위한 핵심요소의 기능적 요건 (The Functional Requirements of Core Elements for Research Data Management and Service)

  • 데이터의 가치 증대, 연구 방법의 패러다임 변화 그리고 오픈 사이언스 등의 구체적 발현은 연구가 더 이상 기존의 학술지와 같은 텍스트 중심이 아닌 데이터 기반으로 전환되고 있음을 나타내고 있다. 본 연구에서는 아직 국내 연구가 미흡한 연구 데이터 관리 및 서비스를 위한 핵심요소와 해당 기능적 요건을 도출하기 위하여 DCC, ICPSR, ANDS 그리고 DataONE에 대한 서비스를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 도출된 핵심 요소는 'DMP 작성지원', '데이터 기술', '데이터 저장', '데이터 공유 및 접근', '데이터 인용' 그리고 '데이터 관리 교육' 등이다. 또한 도출된 핵심 요소에 기능적 요건을 제시함으로써 향후 실질적으로 RDM 서비스를 구축 및 운영하고자 할 때 본 연구의 내용을 적용할 수 있을 것이다.

  • In this note, we extend the concepts of linearly positive quadrant dependence to the random vectors and prove a functional central limit theorem for positively quadrant dependent sequence of $R^d$-valued or separable Hilbert space valued random elements which satisfy a covariance summability condition. This result is an extension of a functional central limit theorem for weakly associated random vectors of Burton et al. to positive quadrant dependence case.

  • In Korean medicine, the "five viscera" theory develops into the theory of homeostasis, in which the dynamic equilibrium state of the yin yang and five elements in the body maintain the balance of the physiological functions. The "five viscera" of the "five elements" can also be referred to as the "functional system," a conceptual system that includes all functional interactions mediated by the organ as well as the organ itself. Nowadays, the structure and function of the organs and tissues in the body are being re-examined, and there is now enough evidence that organs, structures, and their functions that belong to the same "element" are all connected in terms of energy metabolism. The functional system of the "kidney" includes the kidney itself, as well as other components that belong to "water" of the five elements such as bladder, bone, ear, essence, memory, and fear. The authors will discuss the latest findings in science and medicine to expand the understanding of the "Kidney" functional system to the level of molecular physiology.
