Objectives This study was conducted to find out how effective the combined treatments of Sasang constitutional medication, acupuncture, pharmacopuncture and functional cerebrospinal therapy (FCST) are for oro-facial dyskinesia. Methods A patient was diagnosed as Soyangin according to the result of Sasang constitutional diagnosis and treated by Sasang constitutional medication, acupuncture, pharmacopuncture and functional cerebrospinal therapy. The progress was evaluated with the global assessment scale (GAS) and balance sheets test. Results Oro-facial dyskinesia was almost disappeared with Yanggyeoksanhwa-tang, acupunctiure, pharmacopuncture and functional cerebrospinal therapy. Conclusions We report a case of oro-facial dyskinesia that improved with Sasang constitutional medicine, acupunctiure, pharmacopuncture and functional cerebrospinal therapy.

Therapeutic effect of Yinyang Balancing Appliance of functional cerebrospinal therapy (FCST) for meridian and neurologic yinyang balance was observed in tic disorder patients. Seventy tic disorder cases were managed with the Yinyang Balancing Appliance on temporomandibular joint (TMJ), combined with acupuncture. Clinical outcome measurement was based on subjective measures and overall clinical impressions. Patients showed a trend toward improvement by clinical observations. In some cases, such changes were visible even after the initial treatment, and this effect was observed to be maintained over the follow-up period. Further clinical and biological research on tic disorder is expected with respect to the FCST.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to review main symptoms of outpatient in Lee young Jun clinics who developed the functional cerebrospinal therapy and to investigate the therapeutic effects on one time application of functional cerebrospinal therapy (FCST). Methods: Patients who visited at least twice at an oriental medical clinic and treated with FCST were included. They were asked to write 216 numeric rating scale (NRS)-based questionnaire about degree of various symptoms at each visit. Prevalence and degree decrease of all reported symptoms were analyzed. Results: Total of 744 outpatients were included. There were fourteen symptoms of which more than half of all patients commonly complained. All symptoms were significantly reduced after one administration of FCST. About four to seven percent of patients reported at least five-point reduction on NRS in each symptom after FCST. Conclusions: FCST might have potential immediate effect on not only TMJ related symptoms, but also diverse kinds of pain, psychological symptoms, and fatigue-related symptoms.

Objectives : Functional Cerebrospinal Therapy (FCST) is a new physiologic therapeutics developed in Korea as a meridian yinyang balance approach. The theory of yinyang balance has been at the core of health enhancement approach of meridian and acupuncture medicine ever since its start. Methods : Introductory overview of FCST is presented in relation with meridian yinynag balance theory. Results : As the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and related tissues have direct interconnection with brainstem proprioceptive or motor systems and the face is where all the meridians converge, FCST applies a fine adjustment of the posture of TMJ as a treatment tool for neurologic conditions or meridian imbalances. Conclusions : Highly sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic techniques to adjust various subset aspects of yinyang balance are developed within FCST, which is supposed to be one of major contributions to natural healing.

Four cases of functional cerebrospinal therapy (FCST) were reviewed to see whether any improvement is observed in the X-ray images of open-mouth view and cephalocervical views. Intraoral appliances of TMJ balancing appliance (TBA) and cervical balancing appliance (CBA) and active movement of within range-of-movement of the jaw and the neck were applied to each patient. Improved balance of $2^{nd}$ cervical vertebra position and cervical alignment were observed in all the four cases.

Objectives : Therapeutic effect of Balance Appliance of functional cerebrospinal therapy (FCST) for meridian and neurologic yinyang balance was observed in a refractory torticollis case. Methods : A post-traumatic severe torticollis case with 18 years of duration was managed by the Balance Appliance on temporomandibular joint (TMJ), combined with acupuncture and manual medicine. Results : Assessment was made by self assessment of subjective symptoms and clinical observacon. The patient reported over-90% remission and returned to ordinary daily life after 20months of therapy, which effect was reported to maintain for 9 months. Conclusions : An impressive effect was observed and further clinical and biological research on FCST is expected.
