The Characteristic of the Performance of the Bypass Diode with Composition Change of the String in Si-PV Module (결정질 PV 모듈의 string 구성에 따른 바이패스 다이오드 동작 특성)

  • Previous studies have been focused on the voltage of Bypass diode and Isc(Short Circuit Current) of the influenced solar cell. The Bypass diode starts working when it gets the reverse applied voltage. Previous studies have only concentrated on Isc of the influenced solar cell and Imp of PV module to explain the bypassing performance. PV module is usually working together with inverter having MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) function for best performance. bypassing point is regulated by MPPT function of inverter. In this paper, simulation results of Bypass diode in PV module have been analyzed to represent the relationship of the bypassing point with the composition of PV module. From the results, the more cells are connected with each string, the earlier bypassing performance happens under the fixed number of strings. As diode groups increase or irradiation decreases, the bypassing performance starts fast.

  • This paper describes an intelligent service robot system for managing a store in an unmanned environment. The robot can be a good replacement for humans because it is possible to work all day and to remember lots of information. We design a system architecture for configuring many intelligent functions of intelligent service robot system which consists of four layers; a User Interaction Layer, a Behavior Scheduling Layer, a Intelligent Module Layer, and a Hardware Layer. We develop an intelligent service robot 'Part Timer' based on the designed system architecture. The 'Part Timer' has many intelligent function modules such as face detection-recognition-tracking module, speech recognition module, navigation module, manipulator module, appliance control module, etc. The 'Part Timer' is possible to answer the phone and this function gives convenient interface to users.

  • In this study, we propose an algorithm to simulate the function of the coupling structure and having two neurons to find out exactly recover the temporary or permanent position errors that can occur during operation in a digital circuit was separated by function, a $3{\times}3$ array. If any particular part in the combined cells are differentiated cells have a problem that function to other cells caused an error and perform the same function are subjected to a step of apoptosis by the surrounding cells. Designed as a function block in the function and the internal structure having a cell structure of this digital circuit proposes an algorithm. In case of error of module 4 of block 1 considered in this study, sum of all module numbers for horizontal direction, total module number sum for vertical direction, and sum of all module numbers for diagonal direction, We were able to find the location.

  • In this paper, we design and verify the hardware circuit that performs PLCP(Physical Layer Convergence Protocol) protocol functions of physical layer in IEEE 802.11 frequency hopping WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network). Altera MAX+PLUS I $I^{〔1〕}$ is used as a design tool. The designed circuit consists of control register module to interface with upper layer, FIFO module to transmit/receive data with upper layer, TX function module, and RX function module. It is verified that the developed circuit conforms well to the IEEE 802.11 standard specification and can support both 1Mbps and 2 Mbps transmission rate by simulation. The developed circuits can be utilized for the implementation of protocol processor in wireless LAN areas.

  • Driver IC is one of the key components on the LCD monitor and LCD/TV. The function of the driver IC is to transfer and forward the input signals to LCD panel module. Inside driver IC, there are several operating units which process the input signals and generate the appropriate size and resolution to the LCD panel module. LCD panel module will display these input signals. However, there are some difficulties which driver IC designer, LCD monitor and LCD/TV maker will face. Thus, this article addresses the function and difficulties on driver IC.

  • For home networking system with a function of air quality monitoring, a wireless sensor module with several air quality monitoring sensors was developed for indoor environment monitoring system in home networking. The module has various enlargements for various kinds of sensors such as humidity sensor, temperature sensor, CO2 sensor, flying dust sensor, and etc. The developed wireless module is very convenient to be installed on the wall of a room or office, and the sensors in the module can be easily replaced due to well designed module structure and RF connection method. To reduce the system cost, only one RF transmission block was used for sensors' signal transmission to 8051 microcontroller board in time sharing method. In this home networking system, various indoor environmental parameters could be monitored in real time from RF wireless sensor module. Indoor vision was transferred to client PC or PDA from surveillance camera installed indoor or desired site. Web server using Oracle DB was used for saving the visions by web-camera and various data from wireless sensor module.

  • In this paper, power distribution module for car relay control with Control area network is developed. This module is called Intelligent power distribution module because it has microprossor which can communicate with other electric module such as ECU and Body control module and also has self-diagonasis function. The developed IPDM module is tested on vehicle and the good performance has been achieved.

  • In this paper, we design and implement a product information guidance system Based on BLE beacons. This system is designed to provide various functions such as contactless entrance service through mobile ticket, seat guidance service, event push service, content push service, and public service. This system consists of three modules: a beacon recognition module, a server linkage module, and a content transmission module. The beacon recognition module implements a function of transmitting a specific ID of a nearby beacon when a customer with a smartphone approaches the available service area. The server linkage module recognizes the beacon ID value, transfers it to the server, and implements the function to check the location of the server having the ID. The content transmission module implements a function of transmitting event or service information set at a corresponding location to a smartphone. The beacon-based product information guidance system implemented in this paper has the advantage of being able to quickly and easily implement various product information guidance systems.

  • This study deals with a isolation type MIC(Module Integrated Converter) for AC module with advantages such as DC Wireless, freely selectable installation capacity, minimized shadow effect etc. In this paper, MIC circuit with the function which can remove the ripple voltage of PV module and give the discharging path for charged energy in leakage inductance of isolation transformer. The validity of proposed circuir is verified by the simulation with PSIM.
