  • The ability to pass between bars is one of the most important performance of self-compacting concrete or high-flowability concrete since it determines the final filling capacity which influences the strength and durability of hardened concrete in structure. Therefore it has been evaluated by many researchers using different kinds of testing apparatuses. The assessments of passing ability, however, differ largely according to the style, the dimension and the criteria in apparatuses, and the value obtained from one apparatus cannot be converted those of the others. There needs a rheological approach to the better understanding of the passing behavior of fresh concrete between reinforcing bars, where the flow velocity of concrete becomes slow and the blockade sometimes occurs due to the interference between aggregates and reinforcing bars. Experimental works were conducted to clarity the effects of the clearance between reinforcing bars, the volume of aggregate and the rheological properties of matrix on the behavior from the rheological point view and showed the rational mix proportioning of concrete.

  • This study is designed for producing and analyzing the structure application properties of the ready mixed concrete of specified concrete strength about 400kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ in the batcher plant. And this part is designed for analyzing to the slump, slump flow, air content and unit weight in fresh state. By the test results of fresh concrete state, the slump, slump flow and air content are decreased, but unit weight is increased while open time is passed.

  • Recently, interest grew on the quality of aggregates following the diminution of primary resources from river as to grow construction demand and the low grade of nature sand like sea sand. Following, need is to diversify the supply sources of fine aggregates which are excessively relying on sea sand and urgency is to find as soon as possible aggregate resources that can substitute sea sand. On the other hand, various fine aggregates are utilized to produce concrete in the domestic construction fields. However, few studies have been systematically investigated on the effects of such fine aggregates on concrete properties. Therefore, this study examined the effects of comparatively widely used fine aggregates in the domestic construction fields on the quality of concrete through the analysis of the effects of such fine aggregates on the physical properties of fresh concrete and strength of hardened concrete. Results revealed that crushed sand degraded the fluidity and air entraining of concrete compared to natural aggregates like sea sand and river sand. Especially, the use of crushed sand exhibiting bad grain shape and grade was larger adverse effect on the physical properties of concrete. The type of fine aggregates appeared to have negligible influence on the strength for W/C of 55%, 45% while crushed sand decreased the strength for W/C of 35% compared to natural aggregates. It analyzed that the combination of crushed sand exhibiting bad grain shape and grade with natural aggregates improved the characteristics of fresh concrete and had negligible influence on the strength.

  • This study is performed to investigate the influence of aggregate factor on the estimation of water content in fresh concrete. According to the results, water content is estimated higher in the case of basalt and granite aggregate than in the case of limestone because absorption water ratio of basalt and granite is large. As the replacement ratio of recycled aggregate increases, water content is estimated higher. But, after correcting absorption water ratio of aggregate, estimated water content is similar to mixture water content. Therefore, it is important to know the absorption water ratio of aggregates accurately, to estimate water content.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the compressive strength property of antiwashout underwater concrete with curing water through experimental researches. Type of casting and curing water(fresh water, sea water) are used as main experimental parameter, additionally a few variables affecting compressive strength property are used ; water-cement ratio (45%, 48%, 50%, 52%, 55%), and unit weight of admixtures (antiwashout underwater agent ; 0.6%, 0.8%, 1.0%, 1.2%, 1.4% of unit weight of water, superplasticizer ; 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%, 2.5% of unit weight of cement)) Compressive strength level of antiwashout underwater concrete which was cast and cured in fresh water is higher than other one. Consequently, incremental modulus has to increase when the antiwashout underwater concrete is made use of underwater work from ocean.

  • This study was carried out to present the properties of fresh concrete made with ground granulated blast-furnace slag (BFS) powder with variations of blaine and content, and to estimate the utilization of the BFS concrete as admixtural materials for concrete structures of the building. According to the results, the fluidity of concrete which BFS dosage rate was 45% had the considerable difference from that of concrete which BFS dosage rate was not bigger than 35%. Also, the diminution of bleeding was appeared with the increase of blaine and content of BFS. It is concluded that BFS concrete of low blaine can be used effectively in concrete structures of the building.

  • In this study, a high volume fly-ash substituted concrete experiments in two curing temperature circumstances - 35${\circ}$, 20.${\circ}$, High volume fly-ash concrete is tested in fresh concrete properties and hardeded concrete properties. There is slump, air contents, concrete setting tests. 3, 7, As fresh concrete test items and 28 days water curing compressive strength is measured in the hardened concrete test. The purpose of this study is to submit a various fly-ash concrete data for application to field. The result of this study is that the best strength is developed at the plain concrete cured 20 ${\circ}$, and Mixing F43 shows the best strength among specimens which cured at 35${\circ}$,

  • The objective of this study makes investigation into the effect on the properties of underwater antiwashout concrete. which is followed by mixing time and mixing quantity. There is an tendency that (the compressive strength of underwater antiwashout concrete made and cured in fresh water or sea water) is increase when dry mixing time, mixing quantity, total mixing time is increase as unit weight grows. The difference of compressive strength (in case of no dry mixing time and 60 second) is averagely 46.8kgf/㎠ in the fresh water and 35.6kgf/㎠ in sea water. it's considered that dry mixing is dispersed by underwater antiwashout admixture.

  • In this study, the properties of super flowing cocrete containing gly ash were experimentally investigated and compared with those of ordinary concrete. Tests were carried out on five types of super flowing concrete mixes containing fly ash and three types of ordinary concrete mixes without fly ash. Flow test, O-funnel test, box test, Ltype thest and slump test were carried out to obtain the properties for the workability of fresh concrete. Compressime strength, splitting tensile strength, modulus of elasticity. creep and shrinkage test were also obtained as the mechanical properties of hardened concrete. In fresh concrete, it was found that super flowing concrete had excellent workability and flowability compared with ordinary concrete, and the volume ratio of coarse aggregate to concrete volume greatly influenced flowability. Super flowing concrete also had good mechanical properties at both early and late ages with compressive strengths reaching as high as 40 MPa at 28 days. The creep deformation of super flowing concrete investigated were relatively lower than that of ordinary concrete.

  • In the mixing proportion of high flowing concrete we have to use quantity of power such as cement and superplasticizer, and increase the proportion of fine aggregate more than that of plain concrete to increase flowability and segregation resistance. Therefore, the fresh state of high flowing concrete is largely affected by superplasticizer and change of grade the percentage of surface water. This study aims at development of self-filling up high flowing concrete without compaction, in case of using the fine aggregate of standard grade range, by examination on the influence of fresh state of high flowing concrete, and by understanding influence on various fluidity such as flowability, reinforcement passibility, fillingability, segregation resistance.
