폐주물사를 혼입한 콘크리트의 동결-융해 저항성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Freeze-Thaw Resistance of Concrete Incorporating Waste Foundry Sand)

  • Concrete structures has been deteriorated by the freezing and thawing due to temperature gap. This study was conducted to evaluate durabilite of concrete which are increasingly demanded recently. Therefore the research of durability must be executed for application of waste foundry sand concrete real structures. Concrete durability must be executed for application of waste foundry sand concrete real structures. Concrete durability properties incorporating waste foundry sand was performed with the variable of W/C ratio, Sand/Waste foundry sand ratio and Air entrainment-Non air entrainment. Cylinder specimens were made and subjected to freezing and thawing cycle at $-18^{\cire}C$ and $4^{\cire}C$. Dynamic modulus of elasticity were evaluated as F/T cycle increase. The results show that strength of concrete is increased the W/C ratio decrease, the Sand/Waste foundry sand ratio increase when the concrete contains AE agent and decreasing WC ratio and AE concrete makes improved resistance of freezing and thawing improved. Especially, resistance of freezing and thawing is improved by Fine aggregate/Waste foundry sand ratio which is 50%, 25%, 0% in a row. Therefore it is turn out the waste foundry sand could be applied to concrete from the experiment.

  • It have been announced that concrete subjected to freezing and thawing cause deterioration by expanded inside water and contracted at thawing. However, this study descrebe the deterioration mechanism of concrete by freezing and thawing test. Embeded strain gauges were used to measure the inside restrict strain due to the temperature differenct inside and outside the concrete test specimens. Test results showed that using the air entrained admixture and expanded poly-styrene was developed durability of concrete by decreasing inside retrict strain ratio.

Quality Evaluation of Pork with Various Freezing and Thawing Methods

  • In this study, the physicochemical and sensory quality characteristics due to the influence of various thawing methods on electro-magnetic and air blast frozen pork were examined. The packaged pork samples, which were frozen by air blast freezing at $-45^{\circ}C$ or electro-magnetic freezing at $-55^{\circ}C$, were thawed using 4 different methods: refrigeration ($4{\pm}1^{\circ}C$), room temperature (RT, $25^{\circ}C$), cold water ($15^{\circ}C$), and microwave (2450 MHz). Analyses were carried out to determine the drip and cooking loss, water holding capacity (WHC), moisture content and sensory evaluation. Frozen pork thawed in a microwave indicated relatively less thawing loss (0.63-1.24%) than the other thawing methods (0.68-1.38%). The cooking loss after electro-magnetic freezing indicated 37.4% by microwave thawing, compared with 32.9% by refrigeration, 36.5% by RT, and 37.2% by cold water in ham. The thawing of samples frozen by electro-magnetic freezing showed no significant differences between the methods used, while the moisture content was higher in belly thawed by microwave (62.0%) after electro-magnetic freezing than refrigeration (54.8%), RT (61.3%), and cold water (61.1%). The highest overall acceptability was shown for microwave thawing after electro-magnetic freezing but there were no significant differences compared to that of the other samples.

시험 선로 결빙 방지를 위한 전기 가열식 융설 및 융빙 시스템의 최적 조건에 관한 연구 (A study on the optimum condition of electric snow melting and deicing system for the anti-freezing testing road)

  • The snow melting system by electric heating wires which is adopted in this research is a part of road facilities to keep surface temperature of the road higher than freezing point of water for melting the snow accumulated on it. The electric heating wires are buried under paved road at a certain depth and operated automatically and manually. Design theory, amount of heating, and installation standard vary according to economic situation, weather condition, installation place and each country applying the system. A main purpose of this study is figuring out the appropriate range of required heat capacity and installation depth and pitch for solving snowdrifts and freezing problems with minimum electric power consumption. This study was performed under the ambient air temperature($-2^{\circ}C$, $-5^{\circ}C$), the pitches of the electric heating wires(200 mm, 300 mm), heating value($250\;W/m^2$, $300\;W/m^2$, $350\;W/m^2$).

잠열물질을 이용한 열저장 기술에 관한 연구 (Study of Thermal Storage Technology using Phase Change Material)

  • The cold chain system in South-East Asia is requiring to maintain freshness of refrigerated or frozen food. In this study, Thermal storage system using Phase change material (PCM) was developed and evaluated its performance about temperature and cold keeping time. For various application of cold chain system, we developed portable cold box, cold roll container and freezing station. Keeping time on laboratory tests of portable cold box in case of refrigeration and freezing were 6 hours and 4 hours, respectively. Cold container was developed to 2.5 ton scale. Evaluation in Indonesia, it was showed to keep the setting temperature of $-10^{\circ}C$ over 40 hours at $30^{\circ}C$ of ambient air. Freezing station using PCM was kept over 24 hours under $-20^{\circ}C$.

국내 LTPP 온도 자료를 이용한 동결지수와 동결깊이 검증 연구 (Verification of Freezing Index and Frost Penetration Depth with Temperature Data of Korea LTPP)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 현재 국내에서 적용되고 있는 동결지수와 동결깊이 산정의 타당성을 검증하는 것이다. 이에 국내에서 운영되고 있는 LTPP-SPS(Long Term Pavement Performance- Specific Pavement Study)구간의 대기온도와 포장체 깊이별 온도 데이터를 이용하여 동결지수와 동결깊이를 산정하였으며, 기존 계산식을 이용하여 산출된 동결깊이와 비교 분석하였다. 또한 이 구간들의 인근 측후소 데이터를 이용하여 연도별 동결지수 추이를 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과, 지구온난화에 의해 1987년 이후에는 동결지수가 급격히 감소하였으며, 현재 도로설계 시 적용되고 있는 동결지수가 과하게 적용되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이에 동결지수 산정 시 현행 30년 데이터를 토대로 산정하기보다 기후가 변화된 시점부터 현재까지의 추이를 분석하는 것이 바람직 할 것으로 사료된다. 또한 LTPP-SPS 구간에서 측정된 포장체 깊이별 온도데이터를 분석한 결과, 동상방지층이 설계되어 있는 3개구간에서 대체적으로 보조기층까지만 동결이 발생하는 것으로 나타나, 동상방지층이 제 역할을 수행하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 실제 측정된 동결깊이와 계산식을 통해 산정된 동결깊이를 비교한 결과, 노상동결관입허용법을 이용한 설계방법이 실제 측정된 동결깊이와 가장 유사한 경향을 나타내었다.

판형 열교환기를 이용한 과냉각수용액에서 유동과냉도 및 냉각속도가 연속제빙에 미치는 영향 (Influence of the Supercooling Degree and Cooling Rate on a Continuous Ice Formation by a Supercooled Aqueous Solution in Flow Using a Plate Heat Exchanger)

  • In dynamic ice storage system(DISS), ice slurry is formed not only from solution freezing by mechanical removing parts but also supercooled solution. However, in order to perform continuous ice formation in the system without mechanical moving parts, supercooled aqueous solution should be formed stable through cooling heat exchanger and be dissolved uniformly in storage tank. In previous study, the time of ice slurry increased as the pressure of the cooling heat exchanger(PHX) increased. In this study, a cooling experiment of an ethylene glycol 7mass% solution was performed with various inlet temperature of the PHX, which has constant brine inlet temperature of $-7^{\circ}C$. The temperature in the storage tank maintained to freezing point of the solution. At results, the time of ice slurry formation increased as the supercooling degree decreased and the cooling rate increased.

건조방법에 따른 표고버섯의 품질변화 (Changes in Quality of Shiitake Mushroom(Lentinus edodes) by Different Drying Methods)

  • 건조표고버섯의 품질을 향상시키기 위해 열풍, 원적외선 및 냉동 건조시 건조조건이 품질에 미치는 영향에 대해 조사하였다. $45-70^{\circ}C$ 범위에서 열풍건조시 온도가 증가할수록 부피유지율은 높았으나 복수율은 낮았으며 5'-GMP 함량은 $50^{\circ}C$에서 건조한 것이 가장 많았다. 원적외선 전조는 같은 온도에서의 열풍건조에 비해 복수율은 높았으나 부피유지율이 낮았다. 냉동건조시 냉동속도에 따른 부피유지율의 차이는 뚜렷하지 않았지만 복수율은 $-18^{\circ}C$에서 냉동시킨 것이 가장 높았으며 건조속도에 의한 영향은 건조속도가 빠를수록 복수율이 증가하였다. 또한 냉동속도와 건조속도가 빠를수록 5'-AMP, 5'-GMP 와 5'-XMP 함량이 모두 증가하는 경향이었다.

  • This study is peformed for checking the limitation and application of each curing/heating methods on cold-weathering mat foundation construction, considering temperature control, early strength security and temperature declination range limit, by means of concrete material properties and thermal analysis technique that were published previously. In the result of this analysis, we checked the open air temperature and mat depth that are possible to apply each curing/heating methods on cold-weathering construction and found curing/heating time of each methods that is able to prevent early aged freezing damage and thermal crack

PHP를 이용한 도로융설 시스템에 관한 기초연구 (A Basic Study of the Snow Melting System for the Anti-Freezing Road using the Pulsating Heat Pipe)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a snow melting system using the pulsating heat pipe(PHP). The experimental apparatus is consisted of a PHP, a concrete structure, a constant water thermostatic bath and a flowmeter. The experiment was performed at the outdoor air temperature of $-8^{\circ}C$ and inlet temperature of hot water of $75^{\circ}C$. PHP is the closed and non-loop type heat exchanger which is charging R-410A as an operating fluid. As experimental results, the temperature profile of vertical and horizontal orientation of concrete structure was measured with operating time. The heat flux of the snow melting was required more than 300 $W/m^2$. We confirmed that the snow melting system using the PHP was useful for anti-freezing road.
