Communication cost is the most important factor in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), as exchanging control keying messages consumes a large amount of energy from the constituent sensor nodes. Time-based Dynamic Keying and En-Route Filtering (TICK) can reduce the communication costs by utilizing local time values of the en-route nodes to generate one-time dynamic keys that are used to encrypt reports in a manner that further avoids the regular keying or re-keying of messages. Although TICK is more energy efficient, it employs no re-encryption operation strategy that cannot determine whether a healthy report might be considered as malicious if the clock drift between the source node and the forwarding node is too large. Secure SOurce-BAsed Loose Synchronization (SOBAS) employs a selective encryption en-route in which fixed nodes are selected to re-encrypt the data. Therefore, the selection of encryption nodes is non-adaptive, and the dynamic network conditions (i.e., The residual energy of en-route nodes, hop count, and false positive rate) are also not focused in SOBAS. We propose an energy efficient selection of re-encryption nodes based on fuzzy logic. Simulation results indicate that the proposed method achieves better energy conservation at the en-route nodes along the path when compared to TICK and SOBAS.

Energy efficiency in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is one significant factor that needs to be considered when making any designs or doing any enhancements on the communication protocol stack. In WSNs using traditional geographic routing, when a sensor node receives a data packet that needs to be transmitted to the sink, it will forward the packet to the neighbor node which is closest to the sink. The traditional geographic routing assumes that the link quality is always 100%. This may cause a bad result as per which we waste too many energy for retransmissions between the two nodes. Thus, the problem here is how to select such node as forwarder at most efficiently in the aspect of both energy consumption and the distance toward the destination. The better node we choose, the more energy we can conserve for the whole network. In this paper, we propose a next-hop forwarding selection metric, called Energy Consumption for Transmission (ECT), which can resolve the above problem in the best way.

The power allocation optimization problem is investigated for improving the physical-layer security in two-way relaying networks, where a full-duplex relay based half-jamming protocol (HJP-FDR) is considered. Specially, by introducing a power splitter factor, HJP-FDR divides the relay's power into two parts: one for forwarding the sources' signals, the other for jamming. An optimization problem for power split factor is first developed, which is proved to be concave and closed-form solution is achieved. Moreover, we formulate a power allocation problem to determine the sources' power subject to the total power constraint. Applying the achieved closed-form solutions to the above-mentioned problems, a two-stage strategy is proposed to implement the overall power allocation. Simulation results highlight the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm and indicate the necessity of optimal power allocation.
Mobile IP provides an efficient and scalable mechanism for host mobility within the Internet. Using Mobile If, mobile nodes may change their point of attachment to the Internet without changing their If address. However, it would result in a high signaling cost. To reduce the signaling cost, we factor in the fact that mobile users will not be actively communicating much of the time. In fact, there Is no necessity to send a binding update message to the home agent when an mobile node does not communicates with others while moving. From this point of view, we propose a lazy update strategy for minimizing signaling cost using the forwarding pointer in hierarchical Mobile IPv6. In our proposal, binding updates are sent only when a mobile node is in a busy mode. If an mobile node is in a dormant mode, binding update messages are delayed until busy mode using the forwarding pointer. As a result, our proposal can reduce the total signaling cost by eliminating unnecessary binding update messages when a mobile node Is in a dormant mode. In addition to, our proposal reduces unnecessary location update cost resulting from ping-pong effect under mobile node's dormant mode. Analysis results using the discrete analytic model presented in this paper shows that our proposal can has superior performance than hierarchical Mobile nv6 when the call-to-mobility ratio is low and the length of the forwarding pointer chain K is low.
Track drive unit adopted in the small sized excavator generally have been used in the construction equipment under the 10 tons as the driving device with forwarding and reversing of excavator. It is required to study the accelerated life test applied by over torque and speed to test the durability life test reflected the many driving modes of small sized excavator and also need to equip the comprehensive performance and life test equipments to do the various performance tests. This study had analyzed the failure modes of the components, and calculated the equivalent loads investigated the used loads in the real field conditions and elicits the acceleration factor adopted in the inverse power model. Also, this study have considered the changes of the acceleration factor and the durability test time in the case of the rotary group and the bearing through analyzing the main failure modes. It was calculated the no failure test time about 2 samples and confidence level 90% and elicited the accelerated life time 720 hours.
The Purpose of this study is to identify important factors in choosing liner shipping companies using the AHP. The Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), introduced by Satty T. L. in 1970, is a decision technique the has been applied to private and public sectors and to group decision problems. This paper will demonstrate the level of importance in 4 major factors: cost, service, transportation and promotion. In detail, the 4 major factors are divided into 14 sub-factors. In the present research, various service attributes for shipping lines were selected from previous studies and the observed data for 4 main service attributes were collected through a questionnaire survey from 26 concerned international freight forwarder experts. The conclusion of this study is as follows. First, it is found that the cost factor is the most important factor among the 4 main service attributes. It is very obvious that the cost factor directly affects the choosing the liner shipping company by international freight forwarders. Second, it is found that the second important factor in choosing the liner shipping company is the transportation factor and the third is the service factor. The promotion factor is underestimated, comparatively speaking. With the ever-increasing competition, liner shipping companies will need to study and understand the selection criteria of their clients(international freight forwarder), and apply the results to their daily and long-terms operations. In particular, liner shipping companies should establish a system to identify and sort the various selection criteria used by international freight forwarding companies.

Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks (MWSN) are usually constrained in energy supply, which makes energy efficiency a key factor to extend the network lifetime. The management of the network topology has been widely used as a mechanism to enhance the lifetime of wireless sensor networks (WSN), and this work presents an alternative to this. Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a well-known technology in data center applications that separates the data and control planes during the network management. This paper proposes a solution based on SDN that optimizes the energy use in MWSN. The network intelligence is placed in a controller that can be accessed through different controller gateways within a MWSN. This network intelligence runs a Topology Control (TC) mechanism to build a backbone of coordinator nodes. Therefore, nodes only need to perform forwarding tasks, they reduce message retransmissions and CPU usage. This results in an improvement of the network lifetime. The performance of the proposed solution is evaluated and compared with a distributed approach using the OMNeT++ simulation framework. Results show that the network lifetime increases when 2 or more controller gateways are used.
This article presents a novel cooperative spectrum sharing (CSS) scheme. The primary transmitter transmits a complex Quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) signal in the first phase, and CSS occurs in the second phase. The secondary transmitter with the largest forwarding channel gain among the nodes that successfully decode the primary signal in the first phase is selected for CSS. This selected node employs a pulse-amplitude modulation (PAM) signal for primary information message (IM) instead of the QAM signal, and it employs a modified PAM signal for the secondary IM. The proposed modified PAM signal depends on the amplitude of the primary PAM signal. This method results in no mutual interference and negligible primary interference constraint and allows a higher degree of exploitation of spatial diversity, thus enabling increase in secondary power to improve primary transmission. The outage performance is enhanced in both the primary and secondary systems. The critical region, in which the primary outage performance is enhanced with the proposed CSS scheme, can be adjusted and widened by varying either the modulation cooperation sharing factor or the number of secondary transmitters.
In this paper, cognitive radio and simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) are effectively combined to design a spectrum-efficient and energy-efficient transmission paradigm. Specifically, a novel SWIPT-based primary-secondary cooperation model is proposed to increase the transmission rate of energy/spectrum constrained users. In the proposed model, a multi-antenna secondary user conducts simultaneous energy harvesting and information forwarding by means of power splitting (PS), and tries to maximize its own transmission rate under the premise of successfully assisting the data delivery of the primary user. After the problem formulation, joint power splitting and beamforming optimization algorithms for decode-and-forward and amplify-and-forward modes are presented, in which we obtain the optimal PS factor and beamforming vectors using a golden search method and dual methods. Simulation results show that the proposed SWIPTbased primary-secondary cooperation schemes can obtain a much higher level of performance than that of non-SWIPT cooperation and non-cooperation schemes.

The Handoff is the core technical factor that is required when mobile host moves from one area to another, while transmitting and receiving data. The existing works try to minimize the loss of pockets by forwarding packets to the Cell which a mobile host will move to. However, though the loss quantity is little, the accumulated loss can del(rade the performance of the TCP, and can be a serious problem if data is sensitive to the loss of packets. In this paper, we can reduce a memory requesting in FA by restricting the mobile host to move within at most 2 movable cells and design the improved handoff protocol for Mil to receive packets seamlessly in spite of handoff. We can evaluate that the suggested method is superior to the previous method, as a result of comparing with it.
