Purpose - In recent years, new retail innovations have emerged in the Japanese eyeglasses industry and grown as a retail format. The purpose of this study is to establish the process model of retail format creation by examining how a retailer creates a retail format and under what kind of environmental conditions. Research design, data, and methodology - This study pointed out the weakness of the concept of the retail format in existing research on the retail format in existing research on the retail format variation theory and suggested the concept of "Formula" to analyze an individual retailer. This study categorized the subjects categorize the subjects of retail format creation into four categories, and analyzed JINS which is the retail format leader in the Japanese eyeglass industry. This study used secondary data because it is valid. Results - This research found "product handling skill," "changes to consumer purchasing patterns," and "competitive interaction" as environmental factors influencing retail format creation. This study highlighted how JINS adapted those environmental factors to create their original formula and suggested the process model of retail format creation through the JINS case study. Conclusions - This study discussed two theoretical implications and three managerial impressions which were derived from the JINS case study. This study also discussed limitations and further research issues.

In this age of multimedia, the content of media works as an important factor rather than the format of media. Popular television programs are being supplied cross-border and they go through the process of adaption to the local viewers which is called "formatting". This kind of "formatting" industry had begun in the States, then the Europeans have taken the inactive from 1990s. Since then, it has been settled firmly by the "super-formats". It now has the assumed value of 31 hundred million Euro per year. Especially after 2000s, England has been the center of world broadcasting format industry, and its case has lots of suggestions to Koreans trying to foster the cultural content industry. So this study aims to find the suggestions to Korean content industry by considering the history of broadcast format industry chronically and examining the industrial background of English as a powerful nation of content.

The use of program formats has slowly but surely developed into an important component of the television industry. This article examines the surprising gap between the constantly growing, multi-billion-dollar trade of program formats and their unclear and contradictory legal treatment. From both the social and commercial standpoints, television formats are valuable creations. Understanding the two products, the paper and program stages, of a television format and their respective markets, is fundamental to discussions of its legal protection. Interestingly, under current law, the less-developed stages of the process (program ideas and paper formats) are awarded more protection than the aired program format, which accumulates higher levels of investment, creativity, and expression. Internal industry mechanisms, such as vertical integration, damage to reputation, and industry institutions, exist in both markets and are still able to control and influence members' behavior to some extent. However, while the influence of internal industry mechanisms is still strong in the paper format market, in the program format market, which continues to grow, such mechanisms have weakened, amplifying the importance of a clear legal system. The absence of protection will certainly not completely eliminate the production of new program formats. However, these factors do not add up to a case against protection. The changes in the program format market in the last two decades support the theory that the overall effect of providing legal protection for TV formats would promote beneficial competition and encourage more original creations. The underlying question for television formats should not be whether to protect but rather how.

Backward compatibility is one of the key issues for radio equipment supporting IEEE 802.11, the typical wireless local area networks (WLANs) communication protocol. For a successful packet decoding with the backward compatibility, the frame format detection is a core precondition. This paper presents a novel frame format detection method based on a deep learning procedure for WLANs affiliated with IEEE 802.11. Considering that the detection performance of conventional methods is degraded mainly due to the poor performances in the symbol synchronization and/or channel estimation in low signal-to-noise-ratio environments, we propose a novel detection method based on convolutional neural network (CNN) that replaces the entire conventional detection procedures. The proposed deep learning network provides a robust detection directly from the receive data. Through extensive computer simulations performed in the multipath fading channel environments (modeled by Project IEEE 802.11 Task Group ac), the proposed method exhibits superb improvement in the frame format detection compared to the conventional method.

This study analyzed the influence of the format import of Korean entertainment programs on the Chinese broadcasting industry. To this end, an in-depth interview was conducted with the production staff of Chinese broadcasting stations. As a result of the analysis of this study, it was found that the format and production method of Chinese entertainment programs began to change from the time the format of Korean entertainment programs was imported.

In aerospace industry improvement of structural performance of flight structure without increasing weight has great advantage. In this study, an innovative design method to increase the buckling load and tension failure load at the same time without increasing the weight was investigated by using the curvilinear fiber format in composite plates with central hole. It was investigated how much gain can be obtained with curvilinear fiber format for the plates with different hole size and different stacking sequence.

Mobile network infrastructure is being completed with the development of hardware and software for mobile devices. Network in mobile devices has evolved for telematics that is expanded much more than its existing concept. Telematics is compound word that is formed from the words "telecommunication" and "informatics". It means that telematics performs control and monitoring service with using mobile device resources. These services provide their services for users' requests through wired or wireless network from mobile devices and server that offers contents and network service collects management information of mobile devices. Map service is one of the preferred services for many telematics users. However, mobile map service has a limit between traffic and information sharing. Therefore it is very important to supply their information for both service provider and terminal user. In this paper, we design a new interactive sketch map using routes and information on the space to be applied effectively, and provide an extended document format that is defined to an extensible and dynamic clustering scheme to have portability map service for mobile device.

Subject : The Practical Use of UN Standard Message for cargo flow EDI Writer : Park, Nam Kyu and Lee, Tae Woo It's necessary to prepare standard message which is agreed on among trading partners for EDI in container transport industry. Now KMPA is carrying out the EDI Project for establishing Korea Logistics Network. It is important to make standard message of documents using in transport industry to succesfully accomodate EDI. The objective of this study is to find out the method of UN standard message utility in Korea. For this study, the UN message guideline is primarily reviewed, and the process that Shipping Request being used in Hanjin Shipping Co. Ltd. is applied to UNSMs as case study. Generally the data format of EDIFACT is so complex and broad for inter-industry standard that the abstract of data format is usually used. Therefore, it is necessary to make the subset of standard message for Shipping Request in ocean industry. In the result of this study, that the ocean industry can use the subset of IFTMBF for Shipping Request is proved, and the subset is suggested. This thesis will contribute toward showing the practical way of standardrization of 350 documents using in trade, customs and transport sectors.

Recently broadcasting production companies have imported a number of broadcast program formats to get ideas quickly and easily. The term format in broadcasting industry is defined as a paper form which includes principal elements throughout each episode of the series in a program to keep consistency. In case of the quiz program titled 1:100 which is being aired in Korea, the domestic company imported the format and produced to broadcast in Korea. In other words, a format includes components of the inherent creative ideas and proposals needed in production a program. The study proposed a web based collaborative system that many users create the format for the broadcast program together. the system is constructed to combine creative ideas to making them a format. Also, production experts will take advantage of the system.

Stereolithography is the best known as rapid prototyping system. It uses the STL format data which is generated from CAD system. In this study, One of the main function of this developed CAM system deals with shape modification which divide a shape into two parts or more. The cross section of a STL part by a z-level is composed with nested or single polygonal closed loop. In order to make RP product, closed loops must fill with triangular facets from SSET and recover sliced triangular facets which is located normal direction to the cross sectional plane. The system is development by using Visuall C++ compiler in the environment of pentium PC. Operating system is Windows NT workstaion from Micro-Soft.
