The purpose of this paper is to discover how the use of digital applications can affect students' attitudes toward positive classroom participation and performance in learning a foreign language. Participants of this study were 128 students who took a foreign language class at a high school in central Korea. To find out students' perceptions and attitudes toward the effect of using a digital application for their foreign language study, online questionnaire and focus-group interview were conducted. Our research findings revealed that these students could engage in active language learning and experience learning improvement while studying a foreign language with digital applications. The improvement was possible by creating more interactive activities and quizzes. In addition, the digital application provided students immediate feedback. It gave students and teachers various motivations beyond the traditional 'chalk and talk' format of text-only-classes. This study provides an overview of the usefulness of digital application. In addition, it provides understanding for students' perceptions and involvement using digital application in a foreign language classroom.

국내에서 서비스되고 있는 해외 애플리케이션의 수가 증가하고 있다. 이들 중 많은 국내 이용자의 수를 보유한 애플리케이션에서 이용자의 개인정보를 무단으로 수집하는 사례가 많이 발생하여 문제가 되고 있다. 애플리케이션을 통해 행해지는 개인정보 무단 수집은 이용자의 민감한 개인정보들이 악의적인 형태로 사용될 수 있어 위험성이 크다. 또한, 이는 사업자윤리에 위반되는 행위이고 건전한 IT 생태계 조성을 방해할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내에서 서비스되고 있는 해외 애플리케이션의 이용자 개인정보 무단 수집 실태를 분석하고, 이에 대한 대응 방안을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

본 연구는 1998년부터 2015년까지 해외로부터 한국으로의 외국인직접투자를 그린필드형 투자와 M&A형 투자로 구분하여 혁신에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 외국인직접투자는 특허출원건수에 유의한 양(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 그린필드형 투자는 특허출원건수에 유의한 양(+)의 영향을 끼쳤으나, M&A형 투자는 특허출원건수에 유의한 영향이 없었다. 본 연구는 처음으로 외국인직접투자를 두 유형으로 구분하여 혁신에 미치는 영향을 분석했다는 점, 설문 조사 자료가 아닌 특허출원건수를 혁신의 대용변수로 사용하여 혁신에 미치는 영향을 분석했다는 점, 그리고 M&A형 투자보다 그린필드형 투자가 특허출원건수에 유의한 양(+)의 영향이 있다는 것을 보인 점에서 의의가 있다. 본 연구 결과는 한국 산업의 혁신과 외국인직접투자 유치를 위한 정책적 시사점을 제공한다.

정보화 기술의 발전에 따라 웨어러블 장치, 휴대용 장치, RFID와 같은 소형 애플리케이션에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있고, 여기에 적용하기 위한 소형 암호화 회로의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 소형 애플리케이션에 적합한 AES 기반 암호화 회로를 제안한다. 제안하는 회로에서는 저장 공간의 최소화, 연산 자원의 공유를 통해서 크기를 최소화 하였다. 제안하는 회로는 $8{\times}16$ 비트 크기의 SRAM 두 개를 사용하였으며, 65nm 표준 셀 라이브러리를 이용하여 합성한 결과 2,241 개의 게이트로 구현되었고, 처리 속도는 초당 50.57M 비트이다. 따라서 저면적 암호화 회로를 필요로 하는 다양한 애플리케이션에 적용하여 사용할 수 있다.

Foreign investors'shares and their influences on the Korean stock market have never been larger and greater before since the market was completely open to foreign investors in 1992 Quantitatively and qualitatively as well, as a result, changes in the patterns of foreign investments have caused enormous effects on the interactions of major macroeconomic indices of the Korean economy. This paper is intended to investigate the causal relations of the four variables, foreigners'buy-sell ratios, stock returns, ￦/＄ exchange rates and $\yen$/＄ exchange rates, over the two time periods of the pre-IMF (1996.1.1-1997.8.15) and the post-IMF (1997.8.16-2000.6.15) based on the daily data of the variables. Granger Causality Test, Forecast Error Variance Decomposition(FEVD) using VAR model and Impulse Response Function were implemented for the empirical analysis.

본 연구는 외국어 학습 어플리케이션에서의 음성 인식 기술의 활용 현황에 관한 연구로서, 외국어 말하기 교육에 적용된 음성인식 기술의 현황과 그 한계를 파악하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 연구 대상으로 선정된 영어와 프랑스어 학습 어플리케이션에 대하여 말하기 학습을 중심으로 살펴 본 결과, 음성 인식 기술의 활용은 학습자의 말하기 연습 환경을 만들고 말하기 평가를 기반으로 한 피드백을 줄 수 있다는 장점이 있으나, 학습자들에게 오류를 스스로 교정할 수 있는 적절한 교정 피드백을 제공하지 않는 한계를 보이고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to overview domestic and foreign trends in the study of the landscape evaluation through new framework of landscape evaluation studies. 108 studies on the landscape evaluation are summarized and categorized into theoretical studies, verification of theories, development of evaluation methods and applications in physical planning. Major theories in the landscape evaluation came from the psycho-physics, the evolutionary theory ann the cultural-learning theory, and were verified and applied into physical planning. Early experimental researches on landscape evaluation, based on psycho-physics, were focused on relatively simple responses to landscapes. But many studies have been gradually related to the evolutionary theory and the cultural learning theory, emphasizing biological and cultural effects on landscape evaluation. Especially, Appleton's Prospect-Refuge theory' and Kaplans' 'Information Processing model' have very strong influence in landscape evaluation. Relatively there have been many application researches in Korea, which tells there have been strong needs to solve pending practical problems caused by the rapid economic and social growth for several decades. Almost of applications in physical planning are focused on physical features of landscapes, but for more comprehensive landscape evaluation, many other factors such as cognitive and sociocultural variables should be integrated into the whole evaluation system. As a result of reviewing of landscape evaluation studies, I found the overall domestic and foreign trends and the necessity of more research on the applications in physical planning. Because this study mainly focused on academic researches, for more appropriate landscape evaluation and management there should be more practical researches including various approaches.

The purpose of this study is for the fundamental understandings about building morphological parameters and aerodynamic roughness parameters of Seoul, Korea using the detailed urban geographic information datasets. Applied roughness parameter calculations are based on a digital map of buildings with lot area polygons. The quality of the developed roughness length ($z_0$) of Seoul was evaluated with densely installed 107 automatic weather stations. The correlation coefficient results between averaged wind speeds of AWS data and averaged $z_0$ is -0.303 in night and -0.398 in day (200 m radii circles case). Further $z_0$ enhancement should follow by considering other surface features such as high tree and orography of Seoul. However, this study would meet the needs to for local- or meso-scale meteorological modeling applications of Seoul. However, further studies would require for enhancing the $z_0$ applications of Seoul.
