  • I analyze how the food delivery market's indirect network effect and spillover effect influence the spread of food delivery platforms in different counties. This study finds that there is a positive local indirect network effect and a positive spillover effect in the adoption of the platform by examining the food delivery platform market in South Korea as of 2020. As food delivery platforms secure consumers who use them, more restaurants on the other side of a two-sided market adopt such platforms (indirect network effect). The spillover effect would allow other restaurants in a region to become more likely to adopt food delivery platforms if there are a greater number of restaurants in the region that use such platforms. This study contributes to the comprehension of technology diffusion and the marketing strategies of platform providers by providing empirical evidence of both effects.

  • This study aims at investigating the effect of product innovation accounting on the market success of instant food and convenience food businesses in Thailand with customer response capability as the mediator. In addition, it examines the effects of management accounting systems, marketing intelligence, and technology orientation on product innovation accounting. The sample for this study is 258 instant food and convenience food businesses in Thailand. To test the research relationships, a structural equation model is used. The results of this study show that product innovation accounting has a significant effect on both customer response capability and market success. Similarly, customer response capability significantly leads to market success while it mediates the product innovation accounting-market success relationship. Testing the antecedents of the research relationships, management accounting system, marketing intelligence, and technology orientation potentially affect product innovation accounting. Accordingly, product innovation accounting is a key source of competitive advantage. Product innovation accounting must be recognized by company management as a strategic tool for competing in markets and environments. They must invest their resources and capabilities to create and develop product innovation accounting principles, as well as encouraging their staff to implement and use these principles in the workplace.

  • The purpose of the study are summarized as follows : First, it has researched the possibility of the Distribution Information application in Sea Food Wholesale Market. Second, the effects which the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler Corporations can obtain in Sea Food Wholesale Market by building up a Distribution Information are classified into the effects of task, cost, and competition. It has analyzed the influence of these effects in direct and indirect Trust between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler. Third, it has recognized the upcoming problems in Sea Food Wholesale Market by building up a Distribution Information, and it has suggested a plan to make the Distribution Information application successful in Sea Food Wholesale Market. This study has used a questionnaire to verify 5 hypotheses. Research model, factor analysis, correlation relationship analysis. The result of this study are summarized as follows : Building up the Distribution Information influences positively on the effectiveness of task, cost and competitiveness regardless of it being the Wholesale Market Company or the Intermediary Wholesaler corporation. However, the results of this analysis are to verify differences according to the degree of construction of the Distribution Information and the degree of the perception of the problems between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations have shown that there were distinct differences in the degree of computerization and of efforts to build a Distribution Information. Also there were distinct differences according to the degree of perceiving problems relating to building up the Distribution Information and the stages of the Distribution Information between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations. This study suggest three important steps that will help to establish a successful Distribution Information. First, the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations should make efforts to increase mutual profits in partnership, and make direct Trust by sharing mutual information. • Mesophilic aerobic bacterial counts were measured and compared for seasoned soybean sprouts produced in different seasons and sold in different market types. Very significant differences in microbial counts were found among seasoned soybean sprouts produced in different seasons (winter, spring, and summer) and among different market types (a traditional market, discount store, and department store). However, there was no significant difference among the stores within each market group. The interactions were significant at a 1% significance level. The variance of summer counts was much lower than spring and winter counts. Discount and department stores showed a higher variation in microbial counts than traditional markets. The microbial counts differed substantially from season to season in the same market group (summer > spring > winter) except between spring and summer in traditional markets. The microbial loads in the winter and spring seasons of seasoned soybean sprouts in traditional markets were clearly higher than in other market groups, while discount stores had the highest microbial count in summer.

  • Different statistical distribution functions were examined to find an adequate distribution function to describe the microbial contamination behavior of a Korean side dish product, seasoned soybean sprouts for different seasons and market groups. The triang distribution was the best for any market groups in winter, while the logistic distribution could describe the microbial contamination in log CFU/g for all the market groups in spring and summer. From parametric bootstrapping based on the fitted distributions, it was found that a normal distribution could describe the distribution of mean microbial count in log CFU/g for all the seasons and market groups. Statistical parameters for each season/market group are presented to estimate the confidence interval.

  • The domestic food industry intends to expand overseas market. In order to succeed, in-depth research on local consumers is essential. This paper examined consumer research methodology and case studies based on sensory and consumer science for developing products targeting overseas market. Consumer research should be prece ded by overseas consumer panel construction. Then, this can be followed by application of various consumer research methodologies on new product development process. The most important consideration in this case is that application of same research methods or criteria as for domestic market could lead to significant errors in terms of reliability of results. Therefore, in order to develop successful products that accurately meet the needs of overseas consumers, careful study and consideration of the differences between markets would be essential from consumer researcher and decision-maker's sides.
